125 Motes = 1 Faction Rank = Legendary package

Plus you can use them from your inventory (hold Square) to feed XP to your equipped armor and weapons. A fully unleveled Exotic with about 20 Motes used goes to near max.

Motes are more useful than they've ever been and I'm glad Xur now charges a standard currency for his stuff.

So almost useless, as it only takes 1 mote to infuse, and glimmer is almost never a problem.

It is heavily weighted toward getting you exotics you do not have. If you're missing any Y1 stuff for your collection. If it is also a year 2 recipient, you unlock it for your account blueprints.
