Any oryx cm going down?

I can bring any class needed though titan hasnt unlocked illuminated went from 25 to 302 in a day so subclass is slow pace.

Another 3 Orxy CM done and again no 320 helmets to show. Meanwhile my vault is overflowing with primaries ranging from 310-320.

I think I have to wait until SRL comes back to get another 320 helm.

My level 2 gift for this faction was a hung jury, which is why I joined them, but the roll doesn't seem as good. Icarus (could be nice if it's really significant?), single point sling/feather mag, zen moment (does it really kick in?)/eye of the storm (maybe good in bloody exchanges?). I'll keep it around in PVP and see how I like it, I suppose.

Finally picked this up this week, but where the hell do I start?!?!
I ended up doing a few PvP matches last night but other than that I was overwhelmed!

Welcome to the community!

The best/worst thing about destiny is that you don't have to play it a certain way to progress your character level wise.
You will want to do story mode if only to get to 35(?) and unlock the third subclass for your character of choice.

After that, push for level 40, and collect purple legendary gear that interests you to later upgrade, or use right away.
As you pick up new gear, try to put on stuff with the higher attack/defence than what you already are using.
This may lead to some awkward learning moments of new weapons, but it will also give you a pretty good idea as to what you may want to look for in the future to fit your play style.

The better the gear you wear, the better the chance even better gear will drop, to a degree.

PVP/Crucible is a fast way to gain levels, but won't let you experience some of the best that destiny has to offer, so make sure you complete the story, and if you need help with a mission/strike/raid, let us know here.

I knew MIDA was going to be a problem as soon as they announced a year 2 version and every time I play I am greeted with the bittersweet knowledge that I was completely right.

I was pretty tired last night so I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of progress markers thrown at me from the start. I reckon I'll fire it up tonight and start heading to some planets to do the story.

I ended up taking a load of bounties but it seems that they're just objectives to obtain at the Crucible?

As soon as I get a bit more familiar, I'll sign up for the newbie raids.
I can honestly see this game occupying a lot of my time!

So there are 2 forms of bounties that you can pick up.

Awesome, like I said, I didn't have my full attention span to hand so tonight may be a little more rewarding! I'll head to earth and attempt some Vanguard bounties too!

I was literally thinking about you right before going to sleep(not creepy at all!) Wondered where you'd been, and assumed maybe you were taking a break. I need some a' that sweet sweet Gutz accompanied end-game in the near future.

Really hoping some christmas noobs show up in Trials this weekend after getting a taste of IB. Keep failing around 6-7 wins each time, just can't get that flawless.

Finding a consistent group of people to play with might also help...

if you want, I can join you on a regular basis. I need a regular team mate as well. We are also in the same time zone.

Although my K/D is not the best for trials and usually need an actual killer to help me.

So Bungie sent me a survey compromising of-
"How would you Rate your most recent experience with Destiny?"

I gave it a 2 out of 5

They had a comment box, so I put this-

I've done all there is to do in terms of content. The loot grind is boring because there are no interesting guns or armor, the perks are stale for both(Even more so for armor). The class builds aren't interesting to play around with, you either take this for PvE or that for PvP. Doing all the content the game has to offer, I wish it had more replayability because the actual gameplay mechanics are second to none. But for a high end Destiny player who's done the hard challenge modes, there just isn't enough stuff to see or do. I feel that making more interesting perks, for armor and weapons would go a long way. Even if in PvE it makes you extremely strong, it'd be something to strive for and to keep playing until you get that perfect perk set.

So I'm running low on things to do but still want that destiny gun play itch scratched. So I decided to clear out some old quests on my main and then finish off TTK quests on alts.

I have been working on the exotic sword quest. Seriously. Who came up with the material grind! 10 RNG items you have to farm for. I am measuring how long it takes by the number of podcasts I have listened to.

It's pretty bad, but it can be done in under an hour.

Use the zoning trick (I.e. Treasure key farming) to make this go much faster.

Sword material gathering would have been much cooler if it was completing super hard variations of the missions on the planets (a la Queen's Wrath modifiers) for guaranteed drop of 1 material for each mission. It would have been a novel way to re-use older missions on each planet and not have been RNG based either.

I was the same way like 1 month ago. My advice is if you have two of the sword quest left do them at the same time. I'm so glad I did--the grind is so boring.

I need to do the quest so I can do the crucible weekly crap.

More on armor perks:

It's all just so inconsequential. I found myself saving up a lot of armor because I wanted to use all the perks I like. Then I looked at the perks and they're all so stupid.

Arc double down. Yeah... thats going to happen maybe twice a game if I'm running an arc class. And for what a 20 second agility boost? What is it 5%? Who knows.

Health regeneration when picking up orb. Yeah... there's 3 places in the game where this matters. Crota, shade, and nightfall modifier. Whatever.

Faster melee. Yeah... one of the better perks i guess but how much faster is it? Like 2%?

Almost all the perks are meaningless with no tangability. Extra ammo and faster reloads on weapons are probably the only ones worth striving for. And even that's a stretch because you want int/dsc above all else.

So it all comes to this: you can't build the character you want to build. I play the shit out of pokémon. And if you want to get a certain pokémon, with certain moves, nature, item, ability, ivs, evs, gender, egg moves, etc... it takes awhile but you can. You can overcome the rng through perserverence and enough tries. In destiny, you just take whatever the game gives you and live with it. No one builds a character with perks in mind.

zoning trick works better when one travels their PS4 back in time.
that way, no blueberries are there to break the train.
edit: make sure you change the time back when you are in orbit. if you change it prior to the game launching, then you will not be able to start the game.

WHY DO I HAVE TO DO A GRINDY QUEST THAT DEPENDS ON HOW RANDOMS ON MY TEAM PERFORM TO EVEN BE ABLE TO DO THE WEEKLY CRUCIBLE BOUNTY?

God I'm on the part of getting rift kills but my team doesn't even go for the rift, it has been 4 games and no one knows how to play apparently
