I'm 6 marks off of Vanguard cap, done Nightfall and the 28 weekly, and 28 story. Just hit level 27.

Aside from PVP to get crucible marks, or finding a raid team, I think I'm done for this week - just as I get the weekend off, too.
 
Just bought excotic gauntlets from Xur.
Should I also buy the excotic engram?
Thing is its armour and even if it was for Warlocks I couldn't wear it because I already have the gauntlets.
 
Finally got an exotic weapon. Thanks, Xur. Who is best to earn reputation with after I hit level 3 with Dead Orbit?
 
Man OT4 so soon after release? Are you serious? Well at least bungie got a lot people talking about their game so that's good i guess, destiny didn't just come and go.

Hover your cursor over the materials icon (to the right of the attack stat, above the upgrade trees) and you'll see what it can give you.

If anyone uses a super to kill you just because they are going to die, then you win that round. (Unless they are killing @ least 2 people in smashing that panic button)
 
I don't remember being this addicted to a game before. I went to bed at 5am today. Woke up at 8.
I played alpha and beta and even though i enjoyed it i wasn't hyped at all. Now all i can think of is this game.

That's damn awesome. I usually use my special melee to get an overshield (I'm a Sunsinger Warlock), then I haul ass to revive someone.

It also helps I'm able to revive myself sometimes and come back as Dark Phoenix.

I agree. Granted, I've played with competent Hunters, but their Bladedancer super stands little chance against a bunch of elites compared with just shooting at the enemy. If anything, I kinda think Golden Gun is better for PvE..

For PvP, I think Hunters shine.

Who cares about the title of the new OT, I don't lol. Anyway, I made myself take a break from the drug that is Destiny. I'm just in phase 3 of my exotic weapon bounty and need to get 500 machine gun kills (easy to do).

I tried the Nightfall Strike solo a little bit ago and while I could probably do it, I just don't have the patience today. I did solo the level 28 daily though. Things on my list for weekend are def. Nightfall, level 28 weekly and Vault. Hopefully I can get them done, but Vault is gonna be priority if I can get a group.
 
So I was hoping to face Xyor in the Level 26 Moon strike to complete my exotic bounty. Instead, the game saw fit to think I was doing the weekly strike. So it looks like I'll have to wait until the Tuesday reset to get the exotic handcannon :/
 
What exactly changes in the higher difficulty strikes/missions? Do enemies get new abilities? Is there anything more than "Enemies do more damage, enemies take more damage, and enemies are only weak to certain damage"?
 
Did I get screwed out of my exotic hand cannon? I did the three tiers for the bounty then took it back to the speaker. It showed the cannon on the right side of my screen so I just bough the infusion of light from him and it started another exotic bounty while not giving me the original one I worked on.

Unless this is how it goes?

No. Getting rank 2 allows you to buy legendary armor. Getting rank 3 allows you to buy legendary weapons. All of them are still the low tier legendary.


The ONLY way to get better tier legendary is through drops in the Vault of Glass raid. Though, I hear rumor an upcoming PVP mode will dole out the good stuff too.

Thanks , but I highly doubt I will ever do the raid as it doesn't seem like my cup of tea

Can we pretty please stop the class fanboy/fangirl bs.
 
This Xyor strike is absolutely fucking ridiculous @_@ so many knights with arc shields plus the wizards with their fire ones.

You can still do it. The bounty is to kill Xyor. Killing Phogoth and completing the strike isn't necessary. I did the weekly strike yesterday and ten immediate did it again to kill Xyor. Thorn is pretty rad!

I play Titan and I've noticed this too, we're completely out numbered by Hunters & Warlocks in PVP. I've already received both trophies for 100 warlock & hunter kills, doubt I'm anywhere near it for Titans.

What makes matters worse is that I preper the Defender subclass, so my super does do a whole lot of good in most PVP situations. But the I do have my favorite grenade, Magnetic. I've obtained so many post death medals with that baby.
 
Question: Anyone on here play on PS3?

I have a friend who sold his PS4 a few months ago despite wanting Destiny and is playing it on the PS3. I've pretty much took advantage of that digital upgrade deal beacuse of him. I realized I'm fortunate to post in this thread as much as I do because I have little to no problem getting groups together to do any of the content. However, this is also made easier by nearly everyone here being on the PS4.

If I could get some PS3 buddies, I think it would help my friend out. I'd be playing too. He's level 24 and I'm 26.

That's how it goes. Look at the bounty description. Does it say "Kill Xyor?" That's the final step you need to do.
