Just heard the awful news and wanted to join the chorus of much deserved praise to one of the most genuinely helpful and friendly people I've had the pleasure to come across.

You'll be much missed guardian. RIP.

I remember that run, it was the first time I ever heard Drizz actually get mad. lol But even with all the bullshit dude still had the patience of a saint and didn't bail on us.

The guy was pretty much the face of Destiny Gaf and I don't think this place will ever be the same with out him.

I have been crying since I heard the news.

Drizz was one of the finest, most helpful, humble, generous, selfless persons I have ever met and he will be greatly missed. He really always got the best out of all of us - even at this time of mourning he is getting us closer to one another. If we can learn something from him we should try to be nice to each other like he was.

This news is heartbreaking.

He will always be one of the most sincere, helpful and caring players I have ever met online. Always so helpful and ready to bring the community together to have fun and make the most of this amazing game that brought us all here together.

The community will not be the same without him and I will always remember his calm and collective voice when tackling the next big Destiny challenge.

The release of Hard Mode for Crota's End was probably the time that he put the most effort despite how frustrating things were. His help at that time was insurmountable given how rough the community was then.

You are a shining example of a Sherpa and a genuine player who liked to help others and he found the greatest joys in doing that.

I was looking forward to playing with him again when Rise of Iron hit but that chance is now gone. Makes me regret taking a break for so long =\

He will always be remembered here and we should all strive to make sure we live in the shadow of his great leadership and sincerity.

My condolences to his family and friends, and all the other players here who enjoyed his company in Destiny. I hope whatever caused this workplace accident is investigated fully so it never happens again.

I can't believe Drizzay is gone. My condolences to his wife and his whole family, this is a tragic loss.

Drizzay was such an incredibly selfless, friendly and humble guy. He was always there for all of us in the Destiny community, and this community won't be the same without him.

I will never forget the countless reset raids we ran together, or the flawless VOG and Crota runs, or the trips to Mercury, the nightfalls, and everything else. When I first joined the Destiny community, I didn't really know too many people here, but Drizzay welcomed me onto the team, and I will never forget all the fun and adventures I experienced with him.

RIP Drizzay. We will never forget his amazing dedication to our community, and we will never forget all the adventures we shared. He will be truly missed, but he will never be forgotten.

No doubt that drizz's willingness to help with DGaf was only an outlet to the man and how he treated friends, family and complete strangers.

A kind, warm-hearted individual who took care in his work, and loved his family and friends. Thoughts and prayers for his family and friends.

He just got married, and had so much to look forward to.
He has been the unofficially Community Manager/Moderator for Destiny Gaf for almost the entire time DGaf has existed.
The hole he leaves in the Destiny, in Gaf, in our lives, not even mentioning his close friends and family, I don't know if another person could even attempt to fill such a huge hole.
My heartfelt wishes go out to his wife, friends and family.
I wish to send my best wishes to those surviving.

Driz was truly a Legend. I have never witnessed such a selfless person in a gaming community. He helped Timba and Soss get to the Lighthouse after Bungie went to Trials card matchmaking. TIMBA. Lol

I lost my brother a month ago so I can imagine what the family is going through right now, nothing will ever prepare you for losing a loved one. I remember Drizz was there for my first VoG and Crota clears...

A terrible lose not only to the community but to those who's lives he touched.

Driz helped me and another DGAFfer to beat Skolas.
Then we sat in a party chat and like, these two kids, couldn't have been older than 13 maybe joined and kept asking Driz to help them with Skolas.
He had literally just spent 3 hours pulling us two through Skolas where we fucked up SO much and kept apologizing to him and instead of saying "No, sorry, I am tired" he just went "yeah sure, let's go" and went with the two kids and did it.

Honestly, Drizzay deserves a damn statue next to the Iron Lords.

I haven't been around DGAF for a little while, but I had to stop by to join the chorus expressing their sorrow for the one and only Drizzay.

I really only played with him a few times, however each of those times was memorable in their own way. I always came out feeling like I learned something new, which would renew my love for this game.

A lot of how I play this game I owe to just his presence: always willing to help, always trying to teach, and having all of the patience in the world, no matter the person or skill level.

I played with him just last week and he's my age, so it's fair to say this is hitting hard.

He was the most selfless person I have ever met playing video games, as all you who never played with him but are reading the thread can surely tell by now. Beyond that, he was a truly talented gamer and a smart, thoughtful guy. He was fiery and passionate about games and people.

Most of all, he was a great person. He spent days making sure other people were enjoying themselves; that's not a trait you find often in life, much less video games. I'm not sure anything shows those traits better than this video, already posted.

RIP Drizz and condolences to his wife and family.

See you at The Lighthouse, Guardian.

Man I hate I hate the hole that appears inside you when someone you know passes away. The black hole was finally starting close after my Grandma pasted away 5 months ago. Fuck I hate it.

I was thinking about Destiny randomly earlier and was considering getting on to finish my Moments of Triumph when I decided to check out what DGAF was up to... and man :(

Even as a lurker and casual, Drizzay still had a huge impact on Destiny for me and helped me experience lots of the endgame content that I wouldn't have stuck around to see otherwise.

I can only imagine what his family is going through.

I was literally talking to my IB Train last night about the last time I ran trials with him. I did poorly, and he gave me constructive criticism.

He made me feel like I had disappointed my dad, and told me how to be better. Nobody else was like him.

I didn't play with him a whole lot, but we certainly talked in Discord.

He was too good, a saint.

RIP Drizz, see you when I see you.


That said, I always thought my wife was being silly about having the Carbon Monoxide Alarm in the house.
Never again.

I haven't been in DGAF for over a year now but I still chat with my fun run group and Drizz was part of that. Can't believe he's gone. Super sad, and so sorry for his wife and family. Will miss you bud.

I like how Drizz always looked at everyone as an equal. If you were a part of DGAF, you were his friend & he would do whatever he could to help you.

To those of you that were close to him, I'm so very sorry for what happened.

RIP Drizzay, thank you for showing us there are still good people in the world.

Wow. Drizz helped me finish up my Year 1 Triumphs (Skolas & Crota), as well as get to the Lighthouse for my first time. He was really helpful and the work he was putting into the DGAF community was really admirable. This place won't be the same.

I can handle the next one, if it can be a tribute to him. I'd like to collect stories and screenshots everyone has. I feel like we're overflowing with memories of him and sharing them would both serve to honor him and ensure as many of his lessons as possible will live on in the community.

Drizzay (Boguester) aka "Mr. Destiny" died Thursday/Friday due to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning (Construction Accident)

He was 33 years old and leaves behind a beautiful wife (only married 3 months), a loving family that he moved back closer to be with

Drizzay, was a great community member of DGAF. He always was a helpful person to anyone that needed it. Always doing his best to push the community here forward with detail information on being a better player himself but for others to use it and become Legends themselves
He never was selfish, always the helpful, caring player who wanted the community to prosper

Man I wiped so many times with Drizz and I always played it off as if it wasn't my fault

I did go back to look for the photos in the old OTs and here is one taken by Toasty

Think that was everyone's first time beating Oryx in that group. I remember making a couple bonehead mistakes after a while of trying (because the whole encounter took us hours) just because I was getting fatigued but the whole group was all cool about it...

Damn man I've given Destiny lots of shit at times since it's released and I disappear for stretches but I can remember events, moments and the people I've met through the community like it was yesterday. A special game in that way...

In general, on the surface it's pretty casual friendly and even coming back you should be fine. As always this great community is here to help
