you've taken my thorn away

All I need for my Y2 Triumphs is Oryx CM. Help me get a good group together, DGAF!
I'd be down to help out with Oryx this evening from 7:30 Irish Time, if that suits. Wouldn't mind starting from Warpriest if we have time.
Does anyone else need it?
Any advice about how to get 25 crucible kills with the sword for someone who sucks at PvP?

Is there anything I need to know going into RoI?
Obviously things like getting as many vendors to reward point to take advantage of new items in engrams, saving up legendary marks, etc...
Two questions:
1. Exotics? I have almost every Y1 item, but they're not good for anything now but normalised PvP and exotic shards, right?
2. Should I be spending marks on Y2 Exotics or saving?
1. True
2. Save for RoI. Use marks to buy new higher level gear from vendors
You can hit the enemy with the handle alone, no need for heavy ammo. Takes two hits to kill but is a lot faster, just need some wits and you are done
Sit on corners, wait for people to run close, charge and swing and pray.
When you can get HW ammo, grab it. It will make things much easier.
It's not as painful as it seems.

Sounds good, I can get online around 8pm. I'd be down for a Warpriest start as well.
You are on PS4, right?
You get a real good Conspiracy Theory for a TTK quest line. Are there any easily obtainable shotguns worth trying out? I feel like I should at least make an attempt to improve with them but the game apparently doesn't want me to.

Shotguns
Because all Shotgun Times-to-Kill are instant with point blank shots in PvP, the listed Times-to-Kill are with two shots, and assuming Guardian has max armor (not including the effects of The Ram).
Field Choke, Linear Compensator, Accurized Ballistics all increase the damage per pellet by 2.5%. Aggressive Ballistics increases it by 5%. Soft Ballistics decreases it by 2.5%.
Very High-Impact - The Conspiracy Theory-D, available from the Vanguard Quartermaster, or Taken King Quest completion, is still the go to shotty-sniper in PvP, and this update has done little to change that. If you're looking to kill someone from rage-inducing distance, this is your gun, and the vendor perks include Reinforced Barrel, just to help out. Not a great roll, but it is a good weapon, so if you haven't gotten the Quest version yet, why not pick it up?
Conspiracy Theory-D - Available from the Vanguard Quartermaster, or Taken King Quest completion. Recommended Perks for Vanguard Quartermaster version: Smart Drift Control, Life Support, Reinforced Barrel, Performance Bonus. Recommended Perks for Quest version: Accurized Ballistics, Rangefinder, Rifled Barrel, Performance Bonus.
[*]Pros - Above average Range. High Mag Size.
[*]Cons - Average Stability. Low Reload Speed and Aim Assist.- Time-to-Kill: 1.33s (two shots)
- Rate of Fire: 5
- Impact: 67 (22 damage per pellet, 264 damage total)
- Range: 16
- Stability: 30
- Reload Speed: 23
- Mag Size: 6
- Aim Assist: 26
Mid-Impact - The Next Big Thing is available from the Crucible Quartermaster. With the fantastic run-and-gun combo of Full Auto, Crowd Control, and Single Point Sling, I think this shotgun might be an overlooked vendor jewel from this update. Allowing you to rapidly fire shots into one target, before turning on another with even more powerful pellets isn't something to be ignored, and I hope that we soon see a new style of shotgun play revolving around multiple quick shots (think Invective) as opposed to one single shot from a distance. For the specialist of the bunch, we have the ever lovely Patch-A, available from the Dead Orbit Representative. With a tremendous perk set that includes Kneepads, Final Round, and Rifled Barrel, you can (riskily, I might add) actually take people out from ranges you never thought possible. Granted, if you miss, you'll probably die, but when you're killing someone from the other end of the hall way with one shot from a Mid-Impact shotty, who cares?

[*]Pros - Very high Stability. Above average Reload Speed. High Aim Assist.

Low-Impact - Here we have the Burden of Proof XI, which is available from the New Monarchy Representative. I don't usually recommend Low-Impact Shotguns, but with Field Choke, Rangefinder, Rifled Barrel, and Final Round, you're going to be very nearly pushing the limits of what a shotguns range can do. The exceptionally quick follow up shot can help you finish off anyone who didn't die from the first, in less than half the speed it takes a Conspiracy user to fire again.

[*]Pros - High Reload Speed and Aim Assist.
[*]Cons - Average Range and Mag Size. Below average Stability.- Time-to-Kill: 0.66s (two shots)

That weapon is a three time casualty of my past indifference to PvP. :'(You get a real good Conspiracy Theory for a TTK quest line.
Other than that? Wait for Rise of Iron and get Dead Orbit's new shotty.
Nice, thanks. Will check some out.
Take your Sun of Osiris and shove it!!!
I have all of the trials emblems but not all of the iron banner ones. Now I wish I would have grinded IB for them
Woo my work approved my vacation that...just so happens.. To line up with the Rise of Iron.
Still got that checkpoint??
How many people on it so far?
I'd like to help.
You're right, I thought it was the 7th already.
And yeah, if my PoE round fails due to someone refusing to go dismantle a mine they're closest to, I just quit.
They way they've talked so far SBMM is staying and if you want to relax go play in private matches
Mayhem playlists provide a ton of heavy ammo. Rumble playlists provide a ton of targets.Any advice about how to get 25 crucible kills with the sword for someone who sucks at PvP?
Not really but it's an ok roll. Split shifter is the weakest fusion in Y2 but it has the highest charge time of all fusions available right now. It's weak because you need to hit 6 out of 7 bolts to kill due to low impact. Accelerated coils would be ideal. If you want a fast charging fusion get the panta rhei from the crucible quartermaster.Would you guys consider Hidden Hand + Rifled Barrel + Life Support a god roll for a fusion rifle? It's a Split Shifter Pro so it's already got what I think is the fastest charge time and very high impact.
I never really made the connection but they're totally going to use private matches as a justification for SBMM, aren't they?

Count me in.

I don't know what it is about this game but you go through crazy gear droughts and then one decent drop heralds a torrential downpour of stuff. It took 350 days for my first Eyasluna to drop with either Rifled/Reinforced
Today I got this
Then 4 games later this
Still got the worlds most annoying set of shaxxfall to do for a shot at 3 for the day as well
You guys want to give it a run? Ruthless want to come too? Or at least mind jumping in game to give out the checkpoint?
Pretty sure I have mocolos and Japanman on friends already. You're mocolos_usa right? My PSN is KC_Darkness.
Just now seeing this. I can hop back on.
I must be confused about something - doesn't SBMM mean skill-based matchmaking? Because after playing dozens of hours in Trials all weekend (112+ games for all the gold packages), I can say without a doubt there is zero matchmaking as I was often going up against top-tier players whereas I am at the bottom-tier because I only just recently started playing Trials for the first time. They way they've talked so far SBMM is staying and if you want to relax go play in private matches

I would love it if Trials matchmaking was actually based on skill and not completely random...
