I've heard people say (and by "people" I mean a certain Scandinavian body-builder with a soft spot for He-Man) that PVE level difference mainly matters if you're below the enemies' level. So 28 in a 26-rated raid shouldn't be much worse than 30. And I dont actually recall much change between being 28 or 29 on normal raid, which sorta agrees with that. But maybe it was just me not noticing.

I did notice a hell of a difference going from 29 to 30 in the 30-rated hm raid though.

Yeah I read something similar although it wasn't from any He-Man aficionados. I'll bring my Hunter if everyone is cool with it as it's only trials. I need mah chest and gloves.

I've got a HM Oracles-checkpoint on my Hunter, if a group is willing to carry me through the templar-cheese (I want that Fatebringer!), I'd switch back to my (30) Titan.

I'm desperate here. My group of 5 are all level 30 with the exception of me, who's been stuck at 29 forever. After another dozen+ attempts, they're pretty much done with the game and have abandoned me to fend for myself with randoms.

I'd love to beat the raid on hard because normal hasn't provided me anything short of shards for months. I think I can get a hard checkpoint at the gatekeepers from a friend, but aside from that I'm sol and on my own.

Any group willing to carry me on hard? Level 29 Hunter. Sorry, I've read hunters are a huge, huge no no for the raid, but it's my only character and I'm desperate to hit 30.

I have no idea who said hunters are a huge no no! The only thing they were useless in was Atheon cheeses mainly. I played as a level 28 hunter on Hard raid and made it all the way to Atheon without dying (except for places we wiped on purpose to cheese, and from someone getting caught on gorgons). Golden gun is especially useful on Atheon when in the portal whether it's for killing hobs or 1 shotting Oracles. If anything they provide more value than Titans because you only need 1 Titan minimum for bubble but the more hunters, the better odds a hunter gets ported for golden gun. And Warlocks are nice to have to rez but probably least important.

Good to know, it gives me some hope. I really wish I had gjallarhorn, it appears to make things much easier.
