Logged into battle.net. On the splash page before the manage accounts page, I saw Manage Games (7) instead of the usual list of box arts I get. Got excited, clicked account.

Nothing. =(

Hoping for Manage My Games (8) sometime soon!

Yeah the new layout threw me off too. Still waiting...

Dear Blizzard, I know about the Foo Fighters already - please stop giving me extra click requirements before I get to the game client pages.

I know, I really should bookmark it.

Anyone from Canada got a key?

No luck here :( I have a bunch of friends all opted into the beta, all Canadian, and none of us have gotten anything. We're all just hoping one of us gets it so we can all try it...

so sad.

Animation cancelling in DIII. I wonder if it's a bug or they want to keep it.

Example:

As monk, Pick Crippling Wave on a Mouse Button, and Exploding Palm on a Hotkey.

Click and Hold The Mouse Button to perform Crippling Wave Combo #1
Cancel into Exploding Palm Combo #2
Continue holding mouse button to automatically perform Crippling Wave Finishing Combo #3
CANCEL THE FINISHING MOVE with Exploding Palm Combo #1
Continue holding mouse button to automatically perform Crippling Wave Combo #2
Cancel into Exploding Palm Finishing Combo #3

This was not shown in the video. And it's literally a 50% attackspeed increase. It's insane.

Weird.
Animation Cancelling Rules
1) Attacks bound to LMB or RMB may be cancelled into attacks bound on a Hotkey.
2) You may not cancel with an attack found bound to either Mouse Button.
3) A cancellable attack may appear on both a Mouse Button and a Hotkey. However, this does not allow it to cancel other moves since it violates rule #2.

ALL MY MONEY
Monk
All Spirit Generators into other spirit generators. Best application is Crippling Wave on a Mouse Button since it has the slowest Recovery phase and benefits the most from being cancelled.
Exploding Palm is a great canceller because of its speed.
Dashing Strike into Autoattack or Exploding Palm to cancel the recovery after teleport.
Lashing Tail Kick - Cancel the recovery.

Animation cancelling sounds hardcore as fuck... the new (real) Devil May Cry, confirmed?

Actually, it has been around since the original Diablo days. There pages and pages of discussion in hardcore circles regarding getting animation frames reduced legitimately through stuff like IAS (increased attack speed) and not so legitimate ways ;)

Anyone heard of a wave-invite happening this week? I haven't heard of anything since monday.

Well that was short, and
King Leoric
was easy as sin. I'm hoping that wasn't the entirety of Act 1. Even Andariel was tougher. :P

Whelp, time to try some more classes.

Its like the first part of act 1. Maybe a little bit past the raven in D2.

I really don't know how I felt about the whole thing. It felt like Diablo 2, but I didn't have to actually think about anything I was doing this time. :P
Points are automatically distributed, I never had to use potions, mana/hatred/discipline recharges so quickly there was never any reason from the very beginning to use my normal attack. Hungering arrows e'r'where. Automatic item selling/breakdowns is far too convenient and kills the entire inventory management aspect (weird thing to complain about, I know, but it felt wrong).
I enjoyed it though. The cathedral music was pretty spot on and the world interactivity was great.

Im just mad I haven't got in yet lol. You are right I was just pointing out that the demo was a small sample of act 1... From what I understand. Lol I think Raven is the second quest. I thought there was some cave you had to go thru first. It's been a while.

Is it just me or has the hype almost completely died out? I only check B.net once every second day now...

edit: oh wow, I just checked it then
made you look

Stage: Acceptance. I am at that stage now.
Also, Stage: Dark Souls. Will last long enough so that I just walk into a store, and buy Diablo3.
Believe!

Path of exile beta is a pretty good way of stoking your D3 game boner

I'm completely over this game I don't need it, it needs me. I'm already waiting for Diablo IV

speaking of which, there is no release window yet for torchlight 2 right? haven't seen news of a beta.

-No Diablo 3 beta
-No Torchlight 2 release
-No Path of Exile beta

This is my life. And I LOVE the genre. :(

Hey don't get me wrong. My GF will hate me for a day or two if I got beta access.
But right now, I'm more excited about work than waiting for a beta key, and I'm too busy saving for a holiday to be able to buy any games other than the few I have planned as must haves for the rest of the year (Zelda, Skyrim, BF3 and Arkham City)
If I have free time I'm ploughing through D3 with an assassin loaded with +MF
