Ah, sorry. Didn't know that. So I need to register @ battle.net first...

And you need to own some Blizzard games too.Castor Krieg said:Yes, also you need to have a Battle.net account to even play DIII, so it is a no-brainer to get it.

I requested access to the list of beta folks, I already have a couple of you on my friends list.
Also, at this point, I still plan on rolling DH day one, so if anyone will have me, I'd love to pve and pvp!

It's actually looking very likely.Chittagong said:So two questions in my mind
1. Release in 2011 pretty damn unlikely, right?
Low, at least early on. They said this is going to be a small beta. But they also said they will periodically invite more and even replace old testers as people quit playing, as is inevitable with the small amount of content to be tested.2. My chances of getting invited to the beta? I've completed StarCraft II on regular and am somewhere around 20 in WoW, so not hardcore like most here.

Valnen said:Googled for info about the sandbox. There are no enemies or anything in it, all you can do is walk around town. Cool if you want to see how it runs on your system I suppose...
Blizzard said:1. Start with a small sample audience to test stability.
2. Take bug and crash report feedback; act on them quickly.
3. Release new patches to make some very necessary changes in the small test environment.
4. Keep testing stability while adding new battle.net/infrastructure components.
5. If everything is running incredibly smooth after steps 1-4, invite people from the general public to open the flood gates on stress testing and get focused gameplay feedback/bug reports.
This is a very laymans description, but the point is we have to slowly throttle in more people to test the game as we continue to create new builds and work out new battle.net functionality. Once the environment is stable and many of the core features are there, we then start to invite the masses.
Id feel remiss in not mentioning this: we absolutely want everyone to play this game as soon as possible. But to make that a reality, we must first excel in both content and deliverance. (So lets put on our classics and well have a little dance, shall we?)
Im guessing we are on step 4 right now?
Zarhym - Basically, yea. Were getting really close! Thats the good news.

Actually playing D2 for the first time at the moment. ^^
Reset is most likely going to be Sept 28th or 29th.JesseZao said:What's this of a ladder reset? Is it every March and Sept or did they announce it? Going to kill my group of friends' pandemonium event aspirations if a reset is happening.
MrKnives said:Sorry if old. Some Barb armor look. Don't know if it's only me but this reminds me more of Paladin than Barb really.
I do like the knight look, knights are cool and all but this is almost to much.

I am enjoying it, although I'm still really feeling my way. First character, level 13 Necromancer - just playing through the SP on normal. Ninja skelegon squad FTW!
Thanks, I've seen that mentioned. I think once I'm happy with the way the game plays (the only other game I've played similar to this really, at least on PC, is Torchlight which is obviously a very streamlined experience by comparison) I'll give that a whirl.red731 said:If you want to emulate more players in SP game you can.
It will give you better loot, stronger monsters and more xp.
Press enter and type /players 8
Do it in town or in wilderness and then get back to town for it to take effect.

Hardest part I find at the moment is realising when I'm going to die! Usually I realise when it's too late.
Number45 said:Shame I can't have more than two active skills at a time though, I think the biggest learning curve for me has been switching skills on the fly.
Yeah, I've got those bound to the number keys because my hand sits there more naturally (thanks WoW!) and I have the belt rebound to F1-F4 currently. All they do is switch the powers though, right? I can't actually activate them without first switching, then clicking, then (if necessary) switching back? I realise it wouldn't be feasible any other way as there's no specific targeting system outside of the mouse.Castor Krieg said:AFAIK, F1-F12 keys can be used as hotkeys. Open Left/Right skill panel, move your cursor over a desired skill, and press F1-F12. BAM!
