I didn't get any email about it. Maybe check your battle.net account anyways?
It's probably just gonna be a waste of ti...

Aww fuck yeah! Thanks.

Wasn't it you who pretty much kept bashing this game (with bullshit-arguments) non-stop for months? I remember having you on ignore for a while for that particular reason :p
Bullshit? They werent bullshit [*] and i was always interested in this game and i was always going to buy it day one even with all its flaws. I love inferno difficulty, i love skill runes system, i love crafting, there are many elements in D3 i like.
I'm just not blind Blizzard supporter and i require from them more effort than from indie/small developers.

*It was argument about normal in D2 being quite hard and You said it was easy [even very easy]. I just dont look at games in 0-1 scale. There are very easy, easy, normal, hard, very hard, extreme etc. difficulty levels and D2 wasnt easy, it was quite hard [of course not first 10 levels, god no], but for 'average game' even normal was quite hard.

Ps. Titan Quest for example was harder in normal difficulty, but it was mostly because npcs scales differently and could wear enchanted items and You could screw up builds more on lower levels than in D2.

I'm big fan of hack and slash genre, thats why i made this - http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=446159 :)

based on my history with blizzard betas, diablo 3 beta will be over in a matter of weeks.

ie i always get in on the very last wave of mass invites.

pretty excited to try it thoguh :D

I just arrived at home from work, opened my email and I couldn't believe my eyes:

"You're Invited: Diablo III Beta Test

Congratulations! You've been selected to participate in the Diablo III beta test."

DAMN!!!! THANK YOU BLIZZARD!!!!!

And i was always going to buy it day one even with all its flaws.
Let's not be foolish here. Diablo III has no flaws.

Has anyone with an active WoW subscription gotten a Diablo 3 invite that wasn't friends/family or flagged by mysterious GAF Bliz employee?

I was in a ladder match on SC2 when I saw the email about Diablo 3 beta invite on my phone. SC2... Skryim... Zelda Skyward Sword... BF3... now this. Too many games @_@.

Jesus Christ this is running terribly for me at the moment. Spell effects not appearing when cast, ping over 500 ms, unresponsive, etc. My internet connection is fine according to speedtest and pingtest.net.

Is something up with battle.net?

I have a few accounts on B.net and none of them got in the Beta. Will be making a new account (for anothet reasons, LOL) so next week I'll be at five accounts with all of them queued for the beta and I still don't think I'll get in.

It's all about luck and I never have any. FML

Where are You from?
I have the same [Poland - Warsaw], i've played for 20 minutes with 1k latency! Now i have 300-500, its really laggy sometimes and freezes for second or two from time to time, quite often when i'm using 360 degree aoe skills. What annoys me the most [and is there all the time] that melee chars can hit me from really far, its quite hard to evade attacks. The same is with projectiles, even if i clearly dodged them, they still hit me ;\

Optimization is really crappy, they definitely have to work on this one hard.
Is this game locked in 110fps? I can get over it, except some spikes to 115-120.
There was also many stuttering at the beginning and game isnt fluid [even in 90-100 fps] if I dont v-sync it.

Gameplay starts really slow [playing wizard], but after helping blacksmith game really start to show off. Exploding Orb [or smth] is really awesome and quite balanced and bosses can take quite many hits, i like that. I thought it would be more casual oriented on the beginning, but its not :) Still most damage i took, was because of lag.

Wait...

Is this like the third wave in 24 hrs, or you guys just slow in checking your accounts ?

i want in :(
I think it's another wave. My email is timestamped 4:43 PM Eastern Time.

Also, I previously played WoW (did Stress Test 1 Testing from April 2004 to launch), but stopped a few months after BC came out and haven't subbed since. Haven't played SC2, but I do have D2 Battle Chest tied to my account. Haven't done any Facebook contests or anything like that. Just signed up when they first opened invites and kept my specs up to date (I resubmit them after every driver update).

Just thought I'd check my account to find out if I got into the beta as I got into the Cataclysm beta in Summer 2010.

):

Aww man, at least it gave me an excuse to update my beta profile settings to my new PC.

Wow. I'm surprised. Its the first time I ever got invited into a closed Beta I believe. It sort of feels nice. Too bad I might not have the time to give it a try.

Did you fully download and update all your game files? Make sure your patcher says your game is at 100%.

Yeah, it's fully patched. It was running perfectly last night.

And wouldn't you know it, after ~two hours of terrible latency, the game is back to running at a steady ~150 ms so everything's good. That's still worse than my pingtest.net results but it's very playable now.

I argued with you that we can't judge the normal difficulty in Diablo 3 because we haven't played the far. You were determined that the whole game will be easy as shit on normal (again, based of the lvl 1-13 BETA) and you kept comparing it to the "hard" difficulty of D2 in normal (even Blood Raven was a tough enemy, right?!). Now I do not have any doubts that normal will continue on being easy throughout the game, but that's the exact same case in Diablo 2.

edit: then for some reason you started telling me that I should play D2 on hardcore. This is where I showed you a picture of my three lvl 92+ HC characters :).
