I got the CE mainly because I seldom if ever get special editions for games I like (Demon's/Dark Souls so far) and I've been waiting 11 years for D3. So I really want the art book, the OST and the Behind the scenes DVD. The skull + pendrive are a plus as well as the dyes, wings and rest of digital crap. Too bad I can't sell those :/

The soundtrack and behind the scenes DVD do sound awesome. :P

I think my trio has locked in our classes: Barb/Monk/WD.

Barb for cc-tank and defense, Monk for st/spec/boss-tank and aoe healing/buffs, and WD for distance-cc, dot (poison) and aoe nukes.

All the way thru inferno. ;)

My three friends and I have pretty much chose our classes. I'm rocking Wizard and my three buddies are going Demon Hunter, Barbarian, and Monk. Seems like a solid group for inferno runs. Should be lots of fun.

I don't know what all my friends are playing, I know one is playing a Wizard, and another is going back and forth between monk and witch doctor. then I have another friend who is playing god knows what, and my fiancee might join in at some point, too, but I don't think she even knows what all the classes are, lol.

My buddies and I have all got our classes mapped out as well. I'm definitely going to be playing a Monk, and my roommate is definitely going to be playing a Barb. I'm pretty sure we have a Witcher Doctor and a Wizard in the bunch too.

but we NEED TO DISSSSCUSSSSS

Lots of people here need to sleep apparently! :p

It's all good, we'll all be playing in a week.

Still not sure what class I'll be playing first, Wizard is looking most likely though... but Barbarian just brings out what makes Diablo so fun, clicking stuff and watching it smash to pieces.

Guys, calm down!

CarbonatedFalcon has done a great job with the OT, he's doing the final touches.

How feasible is it to play and complete this game solo?

Just like every other Diablo, it's totally viable. Enemy difficulty and numbers increase and decrease based on the number of people in the game.

Man I wish the Book of Cain wasn't so expensive. I looked at it a little yesterday at the store, and it's so beautiful.

I also love that Deckard Cain is the credited author lol.

Are you a consultant to the OT? Can you provide a sneak peak :P or will we have to unlock it through likes/tweets?
I can't leak any sneak peaks unfortunately, please look forward to it! I'm anticipating it just as much as everyone else ♥

It's just not the same without "Stay awhile and listen" in the background.

Hype for the OT hype thread!?

Barnes and Noble has the book online for less than $23 (free shipping if you are a member if their Rewards program). Mine has shipped and will arrive Thursday. Ordered it yesterday.

I don't know why, but I am beginning to get worried about the viability of the Wizard in Inferno. I doubt I will have a group of regulars to play with, so I am planning on Soloing. I tend to dedicate time to a single character more than bouncing around.

I guess I just don't want to put a bunch of time into a character, only to realize that they can't keep up in the late game, regardless of build. It seems like most people are going with melee classes (Barb and Monk) with Inferno in mind.

I don't mind playing either of those classes, but I have always enjoyed the ranged caster classes. Am I overthinking this?

Can someone explain how multiplayer is actually going to work? Will it be random matching or must you know someone else already? An actual hub where people can interact? Have to start from the beginning and try to work your way thought the game just start from where the other players is currently at in the game? Etc?

Probably overthinking it. If anything, it's probably a greater concern at melee viability in Inferno rather than ranged :x

Yes you are (i think), Blizzard already stated : You can beat Inferno with any class.

Update: I ended up skipping that class :/ In the mean time I managed to work on a paper and program. Still no OT I am disappoint.

Wrong, you can't beat it with any.

We know nothing about how each class will scale with gear/customisation/builds, etc. I see myself a mighty WD soloing inferno so I don't see why Blizz would harm any particular class over the rest. And in the likehood of such imbalance taking place, you can rest assured Blizzard would address the issue asap.

Am I overthinking this?
I'd say you shouldn't worry about it, as Inferno is all about group synergy and I think the wizard will be essential to the group! If we're talking about soloing inferno, I think the wizard will have the hardest out of all classes, but I'm pretty sure it'll be manageable with the correct runes and skills! Kripparrian's said that the game might very well turn out extremely balanced for PvE, so don't let this "issue" change your decision on what class you're gonna be!

It's 1am here, I'm going to bed but hopefully when I wake up we'll all be balls deep into the OT where we can wait some more together :)

No one at Blizzard has even beaten Inferno, so we really wont have any idea which classes can get through it easier than another.

I'm sure someone will find a build that will make it way too easy, then it'll be over nerfed, people will whine, etc, etc.

Basically each time you play you can select public game or private game.

If it's a public game it will match you with random people on the same quest, other people can drop in and drop out.

If its a private game, your friends can quick join your game, or you can send invites to people for them to join.

You a girl yoshi!?
I'm a dinosaur ._.

I'm kinda new to some of this stuff people are talking about, but if you level all the way to 60. Have cool armor upgrades, how are you supposed to progress in Inferno? if your not leveling up, how are you going to get stronger to go further?

Inferno level gear

Gear, become a better player, tactics, proper skills, etc.

1. Gear
2. Gems
3. Inferno recipes/crafting
4. Fear

Lol :D cause I remember you from the pics and didn't see your tail!
My tail is extremely short :3 You'll have to actually look for it!

Gear will be the biggest thing allowing you to progress. By the time you've reached Inferno, you'll be close to the skill ceiling.

In Diablo 2, gear had a massive impact on what you could accomplish. With poor gear, my sorceress might do 3K chain light damage, be worthless against immunies, and be completely mana starved. With proper gear, my sorceress would do 16K chain light, pierce immunes, be able to teleport freely, cast spells at twice the speed, not have to worry about any mana costs, etc...

They've said you're supposed to farm hell for a long time to get the best gear before stepping into Inferno. I suppose you could just suicide in Inferno hoping for a rare drop or two that might be better and eventually get good enough gear that way, but it might be a pain in repair fees for your armor.
