If I play WoW and never group that doesn't make it a single player game, if I play Counter Strike with bots that doesn't make it a single player game. Diablo has been multiplayer focused since 1996, if you choose to play it solo then that's great.

I'm playing DH lvl 15 so far...loving it!

I'm digging the wizard so far but I've been playing Diablo 2 for so long that I'm having a bit of a subconscious fight over the new skill system. I'm only level three so I haven't opened up runes yet but it just seems like there's fewer skills and not allocating attribute points just feels... wrong. I'm sure I'll grow into it but right now it's a little disorienting.

The game itself is great so far, DRM bullshit aside.

Go into social options, I think it is, and uncheck the thing that says "Auto-Join" or some such.

Well, while we wait, I decided to go get my pet Fetish Shaman in WoW. He twirls around his little torch. I wonder if they gave him interactions with the Diablo pet like they did the Terran and Zerg pets back when SC2 came out?

It's pretty much exactly the same game as D2 which had a single-player portion. I understand that Blizzard makes some good games but let's be reasonable here.

I agree that it's disorienting, I hated it at first but I believe most will be happy with it beyond the level 10-15 point. Rune availability + elective mode make a tremendous difference.

I love the DH class. My only issue is I absolutely cannot find another 13-14ish dps 1h bow. I'm rocking a 1h bow and a quiver with dex on it atm. I mean... its fine, but I want two. Im moving on to the next act past the beta content now though, so hopefully when the servers get back Ill find some rings and better weapons since Im level 14 now.

Decided on WD since day 1 and it's honestly waaaaay more powerful than I imagined, although a lot of the skills I thought were going to be good are just to slow for my liking.

EU servers are apparently having issues with chars not showing up, based on Bashiok tweets.

I had something similar on a US server. The character screen showed a level 0 character (special invisible class) and a default/placeholder looking banner. When I tried to select hero it wouldn't switch, but as soon as I clicked through I was able to load into a game. Enjoying the pace of the game so far, I thought I would miss the lack of stat allocation more. Hopefully they open up some sort of tweak/experimental character build mode later on that lets players toy with those weirdo builds that were fun in D2.

My hard drives have plenty of space.
It doesnt even tell me what HDD its writing to nor does it let me choose. Any ideas?

Once again, Blizzard found a way to really piss the !@#$ off hardcore and die for collectors. Yeah you only see it if you inspect your profile but that's just the thing. I have bought 3 collectors, one for my friend and one to stay sealed forever and add to my Diablo 3 shrine and the other one to be used in D3.

I then bought The Book of Cain, The Collectors Guide not to actually use since their usually useless but to keep in my shrine.

And yet you guys found a way to instead brighten my 6 days to go but slap my in the face and shat right on my head.

Thanks Blizzard for ruining my day. I know a lot of people may not side with me on this but collecting is one my biggest enjoyments and you are not able to obtain this through money or anything. Being loyal and trying every day means nothing. Just randomly landing a key does.

WoW is a mmorpg. Cs is a shooter with no campaign. Those are CLEARLY mp focused games. Diablo has always had a dedicated sp following.

Eh, hack and slash type games are always the best when played with friends. That's not to say that its not a single player game at heart but still, they did what they had too to prevent the duping/hacking situation in diablo 2.

So my melee mage idea is working a little bit right now since I'm lvl 21. I think the sword and board works pretty well though I haven't got a real good off hand item for ranged and such. Either way, serated blade/arcade orb has been doing really well with group of mobs. For single target I use the......um...I forget the name. But I runed it so that it was fire with the ground electrics and such with ray of frost. Diamond armor proves to be very useful still.

What's elective mode?

It let's you bind your primary skills to the 1/2/3/4/ action bar buttons.

AKA Barbarian can use frenzy on MB 1 and Cleave on action bar 2 for example. Opens up a shit load of possibility's.
