Ha, at the login screen the music went really quiet and then it suddenly got loud and dramatic at the exact moment I get error 75! DUN DUN DUN

Seriously, if blizzard can't do always online DRM is can't / shouldnt be done.
 
Do I finally hit cancel if Ive been "Retrieving Hero List" for the last 10+ minutes?

Not sure if I should let it hang like this or try again...

That happened to me earlier just before the servers started shitting the bed. Hoping it's just because of the servers and not permanent.

I've left it for the best part of an hour, it's just not working.
 
I stopped playing on Asia servers because of the same reason I quit the beta early. I won't be playing there for ever so it doesn't count. I'm gonna lie down and wait.
 
pinged again 8224 people online this is terrible why cant there server handle more.....

My experience with Blizzard's maintenance is this: they never finish on time. They either take hours longer than expected or things come up an hour early without any indication from them that they succeeded quicker than expected. This was the pattern in WoW. Some weeks they'd say they were doing an 8 hour maintenance on Tuesday and my server would never even go down at all. Other weeks it would be a 16 hour maintenance, OOPS.
 
So I guess it sucks that the servers are down, but it at least makes me feel better that I went to work today and am not missing much :D
 
woohoo -just got a guest pass. Time to see what this game is like.

If Blizzard can release an isometric based game in 2012, why couldn't Syndicate be like this?

I think they can. It's just launch day/days hiccups.

I don't have any fears of this game working fine 99% of the time the further we go from launch.

They can laugh all they want while they play their shitty Pay-To-Win free-to-play game that doesn't even let you select your sex.

Does anyone have a spare guest pass?
It isn't even for me but for a friend, but his copy of Diablo 2 didn't come today and he is pretty damn disappointed, even if it looks like no one can get on anyway, lol.
