LOL, logged in: server shutting down in 15 minutes, you will not be able to play your single player game. Love, Blizz.

Does anybody know which stats are important for monk? I seem to remember reading that strength didn't do much, but I might be making that up.

Just played ~30 mins or so on my lunch break. Demon Hunter's Rapid Fire skill brought a smile to my face :D Just wish the hits provided a little more feedback as to if they were connecting or not.

For someone who hasn't played Diablo since D1, is playing on next level difficulty ideal? I'm in the first level and its pretty easy, but it is hard to tell if I should up it because its the tutorial level and all.

The monk is dex based as far as primary damage stats go. All stats still have their secondary effects, so strength gives armor and int gives resists.

Still no CE out for delivery, sitting in my local UPS shipping center right now...

...

Well I don't feel so bad with the servers still having issues! :D

So I decided to go with the demon hunter for my first guy. thing is I have no knowledge about what kind of builds there are. I would like to use a bow, that I know but Im not sure about what are the best skills to use for a bow oriented player. I would like to look at my character and read the skills but I cant get on. anyone have any advice for me?

I would assume traps/snare to slow enemies down and allow you to maintain distance. I didn't play a whole lot of the beta so I am not sure what other skill sets there are for the DH, but thats how I would play a bow char.

Every now and then I get my character taking action, but enemies around him staying still, then a speed burst of a bunch happening at once. Doesn't happen often, and the game runs spectacular otherwise.

Built this guy in August 2009 - key components:
-------------------------
Intel Core2 Quad Q9400 2.66GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core
EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066

Hard to argue with it doing so well at this point in time. I've never bought components at their peak, always buy off a generation but the top of the line. It's held up really well here.

Keyboard and mouse both delivered?!!?!?!?!?!

FUCK YA!

There is normal, then when You finish it there is nightmare and so on.

Ps. I so hate new Dash on Monk ;\ who thought that limiting its range when there is no target near curson is good idea?
Also how the fuck throw stuff from inventory on the ground fast, i hate to pick up white items because of missclick ;\

I just asked a question. I haven't even played the game. I'm at work like a fucking chump. I gleamed it off another post.

Yes. Clearly you are as well for not recognizing the import of a question mark.

It's still a really obviously sensitive thing that should be in spoilers anyway though?

Why would asking about the presence of a tertiary character from Diablo 1 require a spoiler tag? Wouldn't the response warrant one?

The way you worded the question and used an exclamation point implied it. You seem to be fairly proficient with the English language and don't see that?

Sweet, good to know. Is Sacrifice basically the Corpse Explosion equivalent this time around, or is that spell still around?

That's the closest equivalent I've found (haven't really delved into the late-game skills, trying to stay fresh), but it blows up all of your zombie dogs.

Why would asking about the presence of a tertiary character from Diablo 1 require a spoiler tag? Wouldn't the response warrant one?

If you knew the context of the answer to your question, you would just spoiler tag it and stop being so defensive.

The Butcher is the Act I boss and he is more or less a complete surprise.

Have you guys been buying stuff from the Auction House (with in-game gold) or just looting stuff normally?

I don't really see the reason to even open the auction house until level 50+, anything you buy you will outgrow pretty quickly unless you've had really bad drops.

I don't know about anybody else but the stuff I posted on the AH earlier today has disappeared, but there is stuff to buy. Prices ATM seem to be in line with what they would cost from a vendor.

So is there any particular reason why all characters on one b.net account share the same gold/stash/blacksmith skill level etc?
How can I start a character fresh? It's stupid.
You can easily work around the gold/stash issue just by buying stuff and chucking it on the ground.

Blacksmith skill level is the one concurrent wrinkle you can't artificially reset although I suppose you could create a new Battletag for Normal runs to get around that. (All hardcore characters start from scratch, regardless.)

It's still a really obviously sensitive thing that should be in spoilers anyway though?

Some tact in replies could have made it less sensitive, since it was a question asked based on no or little prior knowledge. Now that everyone's made a big deal about it...

Have respect for others if they care about all the facets of the story/characters and don't want it ruined.

Its pretty simple. You shouldn't need this explained to you.

I didn't think I'd really mind everything being online even if playing single player, but I was disconnected earlier and even though it took me less than 30 seconds to get back in I had lost all my dungeon progress (although I kept the items and exp). I can understand why they would eventually have to reset it, but is there no grace period at all? It's not a big deal this early on, but I can imagine it being a real nuisance later in the game.

Some stuff on there is better and cheaper than if you want to buy from the shop at a low level.
