The biggest disappointment thus far is the character select screen.

What a downgrade man. I sat there for 30 minutes in the D2 char screen in amazement. Now its all WoW bs.
 
Fire bats. Try them again. They're honestly the best AoE attack besides acid cloud. I'm hitting over 1k+ with fire bats now at level 32 with around 350 damage on my character sheet. Firebomb was kind of slow so I just stuck with splinter poison darts.

Zombie dogs are kind of hit and miss and I'm going through without turning on elective mode, but thus far I've had no problems. My plan is to replace zombie dogs with hex runed with angry chicken asap so I can free up a passive slot. Also gruesome feast doesn't seem to be working, but I've had no reason to switch to something else.
I like Dire Bats, the thing is I'm using the Bad Medicine passive (poisoned enemies deal 20% less damage) and Leperous Zombies do about the same damage as Dire Bats PLUS they poison. Thing is they're short range but when you're Spirit Walking into the middle of everything it doesn't matter... and again, since I have the Bad Medicine passive everything deals less damage so it's not so bad to stand in the middle of the fray.

Instead of Gruesome Feast just get Jungle Fortitude. ESPECIALLY if you're going to have so many summons. Makes everything take 20% less damage... means less dying dogs.
 
I've tried using the Witch Doctor's Plague of Toads and found it to be rather useless until it gets runed abilities. I spam it, and the scattering of the three toads hardly ever hits what I'm trying to.

I never noticed any mana problems with it, I can hold the mouse button and have an unlimited stream of little froggies... which begs the question:

Why is this a level 54 unlock? It seems like an absolutely useless rune.

Lack of channels. Being able to sit there looking at all the cool avatars of other players was awesome, and would've been way better on a fresh game where the gear is unknown to you.

I think, i found a bug with their attack speed calculator.

Two daggers, both has +4% attack speed

Can someone explain this? Where is +4% attack speed bonus from other dagger? Why placement order affect attack speed? o_0

When I was a lower level, I never noticed the frogs using up my mana, but as I leveled up I'm finding it to be a burden. Maybe it's because I don't have enough gear to increase mana regen, I don't know.

How long does the TP channeling take? That cheap tactic should work wonders when I venture into Hardcore mode... also Monk has "Sanctuary" which is basically a 3 second (4 second with Rune IIRC) invincibility mode.



And the AA settings is SSGA? (2x multisampling + 2x sparse grid upersampling?)

This is my nvidia inspector setup right now. I haven't been able to test sparse grid performance yet, because I have only been able to log on once and was afraid to log off.

No... I was under the impression that a monk was closer to a barb than to a squish DH.

Monk is much closer to Barbarian in tank level, Demon Hunter is squishy as hell.

Monks and Barbarians have inherent 30% damage reduction I believe. To let them survive in melee.

For one, the off-hand one doesn't do anything to the global IAS%. If I had to guess though, placing them in different order was just changing which one it was telling you the stats of. When you attack, the stat sheet should change for which hand is attacking since DW alternates.

Starcraft 2 was a buttery smooth launch. Probably because they actually beta tested it with hundreds of thousands of people and had a huge eSports reputation to hold up to.
 
Is there a reason why Diablo 3 is £45 buying direct from blizzard? Is it the same price everywhere? I am thinking of picking it up but damn I don't remember any game costing that much on PC.

I Soul Harvest everything but I don't think Gruesome Feast even works right now, plus I don't actually pick up that many health orbs in the heat of battle. At least not until at least 3/4 of the enemies are dead already and I can actually walk around.

Yeah, as a DH I was getting my ass handed to me if a mob of 3+ were on my character (which usually only happened when I hit network lag spikes). It kinda makes sense since we're supposed to be a ranged class that relies on traps, though.

Monk and Barbarian take 30% less damage.
 
this is probably going to be really stupid, but is there anything similar to a gaf clan for this? is there something inside the game that serves that purpose? or is it just friend-based?

i haven't logged in yet.

no, i think I read monks have the same base mitigation as Barb 30%. WD 20% and I assume DH and Wizard lower

Monk gets the same passive Damage Resistance that a Barb does. It's basically a tank class :x

Maybe he had tons of life steal?
 
Monk is much closer to Barbarian in tank level, Demon Hunter is squishy as hell.

Both Monk and Barbarian have a built-in 30% extra damage reduction as melee characters that the other classes don't have. The others will by default be squishier, but have the advantage of being ranged, and therefore a much better ability to kite and avoid damage.
 
Well this is fun. I lost my lvl 13 monk that had just cleared the Skeleton King and gotten a bit into the second part. He isnt there anymore. Just gone. Maybe he is on the american servers and suddenly I got changed back to Europe without realising it.
