You know, this is exactly what I plan to do now. I can not for the life of me decide what to play. Maybe not all the way to the first act, but at least get up there to get a feel for the classes. Although I did that with beta and it did not help either haha.

Barb's main stat is STR so hes gonna have higher armor. Monk's main stat is dex so he's going to have lower armor but higher dodge. different playstyles
 
How long is this initial "updating setup files" thing supposed to go for. I cant even get to the installer because it just keeps looping. It stays at 50% for "updating setup" then shoots to 100%, changes to "updating blizzard something" for about half a second before shooting back down to 50%.


Edit: Annnd error writing to hard drive again.
Im about to give up on this shit.

That would be stupid if offhand didnt give bonus to IAS.
And still it has same dps, but different attack speed with same combination, its only placement order. And attack per speed is huge difference on Monk.
Just because of it, i can use those fists and has same attack speed like with double dagger and still get spirit per second regeneration.

I'll investigate it further, when i'll find new dagger.

I should rephrase, off-hand does nothing to your main hand IAS, just the weapon it's on (though, this does reduce total swing speed since it's MH + OH). IAS as +X attacks per second does work for both hands, if I recall.

I haven't had a chance to play yet so I can only really guess. I'll see what I get from playing.

I think Blizzard pretty much treats this as an "online" game. Just not an MMO.
 
While I hav'nt read through the entire thread as its updating far to fast!

Am I the only one who thinks the game looks stunning? Blizzard nailed the look and it looks sooooo good :).
 
One of my favorite things about Bola shot is just shooting it and watching the corpses, enemies, and aI just fly all OVER the screen. Best exploder class right there.
 
Fuck I just logged in since Amazon delivered my copy, got to the character create screen, hit back to go and see the options and now I get error 37.

Any idea on how to get it to work with steam overlay? I've tried to add it to the library but it just goes on as if I started up the game normally
 
Well that's awesome.. 550 Achievement score down to 190. Anyone else? I'm on my 14 HC Witch Doctor -- how in the flying fuck can I not have 'Reach level 10 in Hardcore mode.'?
 
I never played Diablo before, but after watching some videos and reading up on it, I decided to pull the trigger and buy a digital copy this morning.

I was able to play about an hour of the game before the server went down for maintenance. Even after such a short sessions I could sense I was getting sucked into what makes this series so great. It was to the point where I was constantly looking at the bottom left watching to make sure how much time I had left before the servers shut down, because I just didn't want to stop before I had to.

Can't wait to dive back in when the servers are up.

I also added myself to the Steam group, so I hope to join some multiplayer sessions. My tag on Steam is: jtrov.
 
So, apparently my character is on the US servers. I have no idea how that happened because it said Europe in the options right from the start.
