Yeah, That's what what I was using (arcane orb and MM) Seemed to be the most effective..but like you say, the most boring. Frozen Orb >>>> Arcane Orb :(
 
My achievements have mostly been reset, and it's infuriating. I Hope blizzard has a fix for this. I know they said stay tuned, but it's probably some open ended response that doesn't really give us any details. FUBLIZZ
 
Anyone else getting an Error 12? it's saying that my battle.net account doesn't have a Diablo 3 license

edit: changed my password and that seemed to fix it

Lost mine too. Glad I don't care about them as much as most do, but it still sucks.

Thankfully, I made it quick through Level 1 again and reached a couple of new 'checkpoints'. I guess those offer some security in case I'm booted again.

Question: Me bags are full. Should I expect warps back to town to sell shit, or do I need to wander back to the start myself? :(

same thing just happened to me. couldnt even close the game, until it randomly did on its own. trying to log back in and it now gives me error 3006. it was surprisingly going pretty smooth for me until now.
 
WTF guys, I managed to get lost in the Cathedral before the SK... I'm not seing any unexplored section on the map but I can't find the exit lol.
 
So I am loving this game but only have one concern. All I really use as a DH is Hungering Arrow. Does this ever change? I'd really like some variety.

I do use traps and defensive abilities, but I'm talking in terms of offense.
 
As a wizard, are higher numbers on weapons (+2 damage, etc) increasing the power of my spells? Or do those numbers only apply to melee damage when equipped by other classes?

Also, every time I'm disconnected and reconnecting, everything that's randomized about the game gets randomized and changed again -- dungeon layouts, the merchant's wares, everything. I already hate randomized bullshit in any game, but to have it constantly change within my one game is even more infuriating, lol.
 
So is there anything I need to know when building my babarian? I mean...there really isn't something I could do wrong is there? Everything is reversible? So...I just play the game. That's it. Nothing to worry about or think about, just go through the motions?

Err.. Yes? Go to your skill set ups and change it to Entangling Shot, Bola, Bombs or whatever.
 
I am so angry at myself for buying The Witcher 2 at launch via Steam and not completing it. It's such an awesome game. I constantly kick myself. I haven't even finished Torchlight or Starcraft 2. I'm just a terrible PC gamer.

That said, how can I not get Diablo III?
I don't feel like going to the store though; has there been any issues with the downloadable version? Is there a "better" place to get it? Pardon my lack of PC expertise.

I'm also worried my alienware laptop may explode. If I download it and my computer has a heart attack in a few days, am I screwed if I get a new PC? Is it easy to re-download these things?

I'm playing on a Mac (2007 MBP) and it runs super well in Windows 7. Switching over to OS X, it runs like garbage. This game is definitely optimized more for one over the other.

Multishot is the fucking shit. Love it to tiny little pieces. I can't wait for its +discipline rune.

CE finally shipped from Amazon. I'm at level 5 on my Wizard, I think I'll switch to the Demon Hunter... get him to level 5 and stop until I get the package.
 
So I somehow lost over 200 achievement points when the servers restarted. I guess stuff was being tracked locally but not sent back to the server? Pretty annoying...
 
It's surprisingly running pretty well on my 13' 2010 MBP. I was really worried beforehand, but it's looking pretty good and running decently

Its easy to re-download. You can do it from your battle.net account page.

I only had one issue yesterday trying to download and install. I had issues with the initial setup installer locking up and giving me an error. None of the fixes worked. I couldn't uninstall the game because it actually hadn't installed anything. Then I started digging through my computer and found a battlenet and Diablo 3 folder that must have been left over after I uninstalled the beta. I deleted both of those and the installer then worked correctly. I downloaded the game during prime time last night in about 2 1/2 hours on a 15mbps download speed.
 
Added everyone from the spreadsheet from Europe down to M last night. Going to add the rest now.

Had a blast with Corky finishing off ACT I.

Would be sweet to get 4 euro gaffers together for some clicky madness.

So is there no reason to actually make a second character of the same class? I really don't like that change, it limits a lot of the replayability for me. One Lvl 60 Barb is the same as any other level 60 Barb except for equipment. That sucks to me.

i agree imo, but i dont know if its a big enough negative to over come the joy of playing around with skills on the fly

mind you that will wear off once we figure what all the best shit is, and then we'll just be left with the same 5 or so different characters for each class
 
So by the weekend, when the servers are fine, will people stop bitching?

I understand some people want to play the game immediately, but honestly, some are acting as though they had NO idea the servers would be buttfucked on launch day. This thing is arguably the most anticipated PC game this gen.

The always online thing is rather annoying, but it's an anti-piracy thing, due to real money transactions being made.

Take a deep breath, open your Steam library, pick a game, and play that until the weekend, hell even Thursday or Friday.

RELAX.
 
So uh, I was almost at the end of Act 1, then went to play with a friend who was considerably earlier. When I went back to go to my own game, I went to change the quest but was set a full two quest stages back, meaning I'd have to redo a relatively long dungeon, the
spider
one. I also lost the waypoint I got after that.

What gives?
 
I've had no problem getting in now that the servers are back up. The games a ton of fun so far. I'm glad I went through with my purchase and didn't get scared off because it wasn't exactly like D2.
