you probably changed servers somehow. Find the region under settings and change it.

Like I said, he hits like a goddamn truck in the final phase. Over 2k every hit and I have 40% DR from armor. Of course, you're supposed to dodge it but good luck doing the safety dance version perfectly.
Oh and he also has a shitton of HP.
Yeah, and it's really annoying if you ask me. Someone earlier mentioned that this might be due to the 3xx nvidia beta drivers but I Have 296.10 WHQL and it's still there for me.
Same deal for Barbarians, I assume? My friend rolled Barb and he asked me about this but I had no clue.
My opinion is roll as many alts as you want, especially this early on and if you want to co-op with buddies. I have already rolled a Wizard to go with my DH so I could start with my friends at level 1 last night, more fun that way (plus I still have seen zero info on how far apart in levels you can be before it starts impacting your teammates' XP gain.)

Run in a line around the edge of the arena (seems like he targets you, so running in circles = bad)
Atleast that's what I did, wasn't hit once by those pools during safety dance.
I know I've seen at least one achievement for getting two of the same class to 60 as well, although how much that qualifies as a reason is obviously debatable.

Exactly, I'm going to play through this game with all five classes all the way to 60 eventually, so I'm not too worried about achievements this week. If I lose any due to launch errors I'll just get them later on.
Vsync was the only thing that fixed it for me. This is on the whqls and a 670 gtx. It was 'hitching' even though fraps was showing 100fps rock solid. Probably something to do with the refresh rate or something. No idea, but vsync improved it quite a bit.
It's at least semi random since I managed to chill out a couple of hits in the same place while he was whacking in the middle. Of course, the clever bastard then started pounding on my hidey hole and I didn't manage to leap across the voidzones that barred my way to safety.
The game is great but I'm having a lot of video crashing. Every few minutes the screen goes black for 30 seconds or so and it either comes back or my PC crashes completely. My PC is newly built and I have no issues with other games. Argh!
My card is an AMD Radeon HD 6790 running on the 12.3 drivers. This happened with 12.4 drivers as well and even on low settings. The GPU isnt even running hot.

I'm guessing it is server lag. You can check latency by hovering your cursor over the green or yellow vertical bar that is next to your resource bubble (i.e., spirit, mana, hatred, fury).
I was getting latency of up to 500ms last night. Anything over 350 or so was affecting gameplay for me.
I also had a random crash while alt-tabing, my card is nvidia tho but I also don't have problems with other games.
2nd act final boss on nightmare is fairly easy (as barb at least) if you take a good look at the abilities & runes you usually don't use 
. Died way too many times with my normal straight forward hit shit 'n loot approach, changed my runes, passives & spells to something more suited and went down without me ever going below 60% or needing pots.

Was a tough one for me on NM but I rushed through normal without really paying much attention to gear and arrived there with a little over 2k HP. Not good.

Is it overclocked? Even if its not running hot, an unstable overclock can crash your GPU and force it into recovery like that.
Diablo III doesn't use much GPU power though, so I'm doubting it'd be the one to out an issue like that.

I'm not Yoshi but you should be able to unslot it. You'll also attack with your weapon when you try to cast a spell that costs Mana but do not have the Mana for it.
Craft the spheres and pray for good stats on them - i've got really lucky and mine have 3-5 dmg, 13 int and exp from mobs, dps increase with them is astounding.

Yes. They do. There's still a lot of the bigger runes to use at later levels. Make sure you're keeping your MH weapon with the best stat/dps number to help and get that int up.

There's some that are account wide though (blacksmith for example) which I'm now missing. Can't get them again from replaying.
Hope they fix, I don't care much about achievements themselves, but I do want all the sigils and pattern customizations.

shit man, sucks to be an adult, I'd love to spend all day playing like when I was 15. Instead I have to go to the office, spend 9 hours+ there, organize everything at home, dinner, and THEN I can play 2-3h before going to sleep

That's the thing. I have a shield that gives me 36 int. I'm thinking for now, shields are the way to go. The actual off hands for wizards probably need some tweaking with bigger numbers to match.

Got to level 13 last night with my Barb and had a shit ton of fun smashing away at mobs. Lag was insane though (Reaching 400-500 at some points), but other than that it was smooth sailing.

And yeah, Act 1 boss is quite easy. Just dodge the charge and the overhead slam and you won't have any trouble at all. I oneshotted it.
Hrm....odd. I'm running the 12.4 drivers on my 6950 and not having any issues at all.

I really wanted it to work. Just when you have mobs of what, 30+ coming after ya? There's no way. I ran into those problems in Act III and just figured to go with the whole slow, kill, kite, kill method.

Could someone please explain in detail how quest- and story-related stuff works when playing co-op? Like, does the host of the game control how the story progresses and when new quests are started, or are all players "equal"? When talking to a quest NPC, will all players see that dialogue, or just the host? And what about the cutscenes that happen at certain points? Etc, etc.
I'm gonna play co-op with a friend tonight, but since I haven't beaten the game on my own yet I'd hate just being "along for the ride". I want the full experience of the story and all of that, will I be able to? Would be thankful if someone would clarify all this!

Is there any easier way to send friend invites out other than doing them individually from the game? Can you add them online? Want to add some GAFers, but from doing it in the open beta weekend, it was tedious.
