I don't think I'm having that much fun with the Wizard.

I'm going to switch to my second choice, the demon hunter.

Wait until you get the hydra. Seems pretty cool after that and then it gets weak later on again from my experience.

I want to try Demon Hunter or something

I beat the game on normal at level 31 it seems. 17 hours 36 minutes played.

:D
Looks REALLY badass :D. Love the crossbow and armor color! :)

I just got to Act 2 and I'm missing so many achievements from Act 1. This is ridiculous. And I keep getting the craft 5 items achievement every time I play, like the counter is resetting.

I am too...but because I didn't get them. lol. I'm stunned at how much I missed. I have 42% of them having just finished Act I.

That was a stylish last hour or so; great detail in the environments and enemies that put the first few in the game to shame. Music is on another level, great stuff! Blizzard's soundtracks stomp the shit out of most films and shows these days. Amazing.

The Act I boss was just so easy though. A little disappointed.

This would all be so perfect if it weren't for these disconnects...

Cain.... :(

Just did the one of the bosses in Act III with a couple of friends, some rares dropped. They left, and I wanted to redo the boss see if I can get anything for myself. Redid the boss, yet no rares. Has this happened to anyone else? A boss not dropped any rares, instead 2 dropped for me.

If it's anything like Diablo 2, you're far more likely to get rare/legendary items the first time you beat a boss. At this point I get a rare item after pretty much every boss for the first time, but I farmed the act 3 end boss like 5+ times earlier tonight and got nothing but blues.

wtf, that's wack.

I've noticed the exact same thing. Every single boss has given me at least one rare drop, but when I was farming the act 1 boss I didn't get anymore rares.

Hm, I can't seem to get my D2 CE key to register on battle.net. Is there something I'm missing here? Definitely typing this thing in right.

Pretty sure there's someone constantly refreshing the forum posts, reading and getting green with envy.

Why don't you try it out?

Not exactly. The drop rates overall in this game seem pretty bad. When you defeated bosses after the first time in D2 you'd still get a rare or unique in a significant percentage of future boss runs. I still don't even know what a "good" item is now. Maybe they did this since the "best" items will be a lot more common in D3 and they needed to balance it out by making overall drops rarer.

Jesus, finally done with work! and it's only midnight.

Is the lag gone now, does it still randomly kick you out of game or should I just wait till tomorrow?

I was thinking the same thing. Wasn't sure if it was that, or if I was just unlucky.

Drop rates seem to be lower yes, also there are fewer legendaries under 40 or whatever do that slightly limits the drop rate. Also I appear to have 0 mf right now. So that could be why I'm 21 hours in and haven't seen legendary or set

So wait... only way to farm Acts and get rares over and over is by creating new characters and playing the acts like that?

200+ ping in a single player game. Aight.
hokay, so, a few disclaimers:

1) I'm getting this game and I'm sure i'll love the good stuff about it, so please don't think I'm a troll! Keep a sense of humor and you'll go far :D
2) I wouldn't have posted expect there are still these kinds of complaints multiple times a page 66 pages deep
3) I thought I'd post this in that thread specifically complaining about the single-player queueing but it seems to be gone..

Anyway this is Retro's work, not mine:

The more and more i play the game I'm come to the conclusion they have nerfed drop rates because of the auction house.

God, I'm about halfway through act 2 and already I'm wanting to make alts because I have a bunch of gear in my stash that are junk for a witch doctor. I should just sell meh rares on the AH tho right?

Also I have page 4 of that black rock ledger, anybody know what it does?

So do you guys mostly roll in groups or go solo through the difficulties?

I think I'm gonna try to stick by myself through Normal, just to get a feel of everything and nobody skipping any of the dialog

Not at all. In d2 the bosses dropped more loot the first time you killed them. Hey still dropped lots of loot everytime just less than the first time. You can farm bosses to get phat loot.

Owned myself for not buying an awesome piece of equipment for under 10k. Hit the buy button a few seconds too late it seems :(

Yeah, I played Wizard earlier up to level 10 and then switched to Monk.

I think I've had the most fun playing as Demon Hunter so far, but playing with my buddy he wanted to roll as DH so I decided to try another class.

I'm probably way lttp on this, but how the hell do you beat the Skeleton King whilst playing solo as a barbarian? Even though I can stun him easily I just can't get the damage in.

You.. hit him and his minions until they're dead? I didn't really have any trouble at all, I just tanked it. What level are you?

Just finished the game for the first time. I really loved the cgi cutscenes, but I wish there were a few more of them. Now on to Nightmare.

I have 200 ping but the game is still very responsive. Their client side prediction seems pretty good?

Are some of you with 200 ping not having it be responsive?
