350 gold mang, that's a fairly trivial price.
Dont defend this, please. It's stupid and you know it.

People wouldn't have played Diablo 2 for years if it took years to get single shitty items.
Nobody expects to have their best setup pegged in a matter of days, or maybe even a single piece, but you can't start trading for what you need if you can't even get anything to trade, even shitty things. I'd love for you to go play D2 right now, normal->nightmare->hell in a party (or solo, shit) and get NO unique or set items. Is it possible? sure. is it likely? shit no. Someone that isn't a diablo veteran could legitimately play this game through all 3 non-inferno difficulties and NOT KNOW that items better than rares exist. That's painfully bad.
I think they really need to add SOME incentive to reroll. I love the skills system, but adding some sort of permanent customization option that made a small but measurable impact would give players a reason to make new chars.

Personally, I'm fine with rare items actually being rare. It makes awesome items worth more of shit to me, and it makes the auction house worth more to look at, and net you $ because you KNOW it took a lot of time and luck to obtain it.
However, I come from a Final Fantasy XI online mindset, where items worth a shit in that game could take MONTHS to get, but when you obtained it holy shit was it a badge of honor and rewarding.
There's arguments to be made on both sides.
You could run Mephisto > 100 times in a day and never get anything worthwhile. Sure, you'll get plenty uniques and sets, but nothing good. It's equally frustrating.

My friend was saying this about Wizard. I brought up how elective mode works, and at first I thought he didn't get what I was saying on what it allowed you to do, but he was just adamant there was no reason for Wizard to make use of elective mode yet at his level of 15 I think he was.
Monk I want to use it all. So much good shit.![]()
75 minutes for act1
Not going to sleep before I'm Act II NM -_-
My opinion of the DH in solo normal... too much useless skill. :/
Hungering arrow (maybe entangling shot with the 4 targets runes).
Chakram or Multishot
Smoke Screen
Preparation
Vault
Caltrops
7-8 skills viable is not enough. :/
I don't know what derp means. I guess that officially makes me old.
I agree. The devs discussed how they wanted item drops to be more distributed throughout the game, and avoid creating the old boss farming runs.
I am going to risk sounding like a jerk for a moment, skip the rest of this post if that might bother you. Heh.
Many of the questions and complaints people seem to be having about this game could all be resolved if you just took some time to read the information that Blizzard has already put out there. Don't complain about something when you as the consumer didn't bother to do any basic research beforehand.
Reading comprehension, kids. Pay attention in school.
I think he means any idiot can play Monk and be great even without any knowledge or skill
There's no spoilers in that picture or anything...OH WAIT YOU ARE AN IDIOT.

Oh my god get rid of that picture haha.75 minutes for act1

I agree drop rates low, but I kind of expected them to be at first. They can always adjust them and turn them up, if things are too rare. It is debatable, but I think it is better to have something too rare at first, rather than flood the market with rare items, then turn the drop rates down. With duping out, items are going to seem a lot more rare compared to D2. The lack of set items is disappointing, but hopefully they will address it soon. If we are lucky, they will add new items on a regular basis.Anyone asking about drop rates: they're dog shit in this game. It's one of my MAJOR complaints. not enough unique/set items at low levels, so you don't have things like arctic furs, sigon's, treads, all that shit to look whet your appetite. Yeah it's a loot game and some stuff needs to be rare, but making it so every single legendary is like a once a year event just doesn't give you enough of a taste for getting excited about killing shit.
When I've killed every boss in this game on the first 3 difficulties multiple times each and NEVER seen anything but a yellow (and even then, only yellows on normal the first time where they're guaranteed. I have NEVER seen an act boss even drop a rare item on NM or Hell. Neither has anyone I play with)....it's a bit fucking stupid. I have one unique, a shit witch doctor mask from a champ group in NM act 1. One of my guildmates has a wizard hat from normal. Everyone else in my wow guild that plays (probably 10 people) and EVERYONE ELSE ON MY FRIENDS LIST (which is a shitton of people) have a combined total of 2 unique items. The vast majority of us are level 60 or nearing it, it's pretty fucking silly.
They really needed MORE unique and set items so that you could have them doled out throughout the game, instead of smashing 90% of them at level 60 required inferno drops. As it is I don't even get excited to kill bosses anymore, it's turned into a sad joke that all you're going to get is some shitty 50 dps normal mode magic item.
Before anyone says 'magic find lol' go look up the items. there are BARELY any uniques or set items to get at all, and in D1 and D2 you would get SOME of this stuff without needing to stack that MF while you levelled.
Game is great, but if people don't get a bone once in a while they won't stay for the real meat and potatoes of item farming.
So we have parallel discussions in this thread; one about how nothing good ever drops, and the other about how the AH is getting flooded with cheap legendaries that will never get removed from the game's economy.

Your post is super douchey, you're the one that didn't bother to read. What items got spread out again? nobody loots any uniques or set items. SPREAD THE FUCK OUT YEAH!
Nephalem Valor already solves the issue, and it's their intended solution. It rewards you for RUNNING an act. That's great, and as it should be.
However that's an inferno mechanic. On Normal, nightmare, and Hell, your only reward for killing ANYTHING, not just act bosses, are shitty blues you can vendor for 200 gold or turn into mats you don't need. That's just not fun.
I noticed this last night, but I assume it was positional audio?I am getting this weird sound issue. Basically when a character talks I get way more volume out of the right speaker channel and it is very low on the left. Kind of off-putting. Anyone else have this issue?
You can't buy full games with your battlebucks, only certain services. It's listed on the FAQ (that I don't have handy right now). You can transfer the money to Paypal and pay though, but obviously they'll be taking 15%.I totally want to sell just enough stuff in Diablo 3 to be able to transfer $60 to Battle.net to buy Starcraft II. I wonder how easy (or hard) it will be to make obtain that goal.

Yeah, I won't buy anything. The randomness of crafting is also really compelling, although I'm only upgrading items that are lagging behind my clvl.I'm avoiding the AH because the satisfaction of seeing a good item drop is what this game is all about, imo.
I get more where you are coming from now. Even in my FFXI example, there is rare, great gear you need for your class even at low levels starting around level 7.
The blues/yellows I currently get are good stuff, but a LOT of it gets sold/salvaged. I'd wager 80% of it is. The boss at the end of Act 1 actually dropped 3 yellows and none of them were better than any of my current gear.![]()
Statistics people: which class has the potential for the best DPS at lvl 60?

Jeez, I took the picture out. The chat wasn't there on purpose and its goddamn act 1.

I like the crafting a lot. Dat gambling feeling except it's so much more affordable.

What's the best class for HC farming? Like DII, sorc?

i can't comment on gw2, but in gw1, dyes were some of the most expensive items (i.e. non-weapons) in the economy. at many points in time they were much more expensive than ecto which were used to craft the most expensive elite armour in the game. That invisible dye is dumb as shit and is a money sink for no reason, sure they are only 350ish gold but why can't I just hide my helmet or pads like any other RPG for free? Imagine if that crap cost money in Guild Wars 2. The thing is it also costs money to make it visible again.
10 characters aren't enough? (each class in normal+hardcore modes)fierybalrog said:I think they really need to add SOME incentive to reroll.
