Is the AH timing out for anyone else? I'm not getting an error message, I just try and search for anything and get 0 results.

I really like that they added a leach option that doesn't suck at low levels. Until you started getting up into the hundreds of DPS, % life leach really sucked in D2, and +N/kill usually got you the life after you didn't need it anymore. Now there's +N/hit which helps a huge amount.

Yep!!!

+Life off hit

+Life off dmg %

+Life off end of kill

So loving this build, Yoshi suggested it honestly and I must thank him.

WTF, You cant buy Diablo 3 almost anywhere in Poland. Every big shop has it sold out o_0

Even Skyrim or Gran Turismo release wasnt so 'bad'.

So I decided to switch around my build a bit last night to expirement with my dual wielding Barb...

I went from a Cleave/Hammer build to this http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WhXYVT!YZ!a.aZa

Works quite well so far. It's so fun to leap, stomp (and bring everybody close to me with the rune) and then whirlwind/revenge lol...never gets old.

I also love the sound it makes when you stack up the Frenzy buff hitting faster and faster... It sounds like a gattling gun spooling up.

I just want to echo, that I really believe the General Chat thing will fix the D/C thing for a lot of people. I just logged into play again for the second time today, and this time, I forgot to join Gen...was booted within 2 minutes.

You just described my life. Love the frenzy sound so much!!!

Yoshi sent you invite btw. Would PM you but your inbox probably full.

yeah, to explain DPS and the item stats window (because it IS confusing)

there are two areas of the item stats window. DPS (for weapons) and damage increase (for everything, if it provides damage increase)

DPS is just literally dps. average damage divided by attacks speed.

if your item also gives you a stat bonus, like +Int for WD, this will be reflected in the damage increase note with the other modifier increases. I tested this out yesterday. Two items, same DPS number, the one with int showed a better damage increase in the bottom right side.

This might sound dumb, but this attack is easy enough to avoid. Just leave the green circle haha. Barbs could leap out. On my monk, I target an enemy outside the circle and teleport out.
The thing is I try to run around go in and hit them and keep running but they always hit me. The don't one shot me if I do that but I still die after a few hits. Problem with barb for me is that so many skills are awesome. Maybe I need to put some more defensive skills?

I'm using this setup.

Any tips? Too many skill so little buttons!! >;(

So what are all of the different levels of items?

Shit - Gray
Normal - White
Magical - Blue
Rare - Yellow
Legendary - Purple

What else? Is there like a super unique or set items? Or the crafted Orange color from D2?

Because there is no offline and the servers have been bad.

Things will come around after people realize the servers WILL be fixed. As for no single player offline, well...I personally don't mind it, since the online component is so seamless. It works, and I enjoy playing with friends.

I do mind it but the game is still great. I am sure things will be running smooth soon enough and then everyone will forget.

Normal run complete! Took me around 19 hours. Now, off to nightmare!

I think it's stupid there's no real cost or penalty for dying. Not even a risk of dying again while looting your body or an exp drop. The only place dying sucks is in boss fights.

Yeah I wish at everything above normal they would start to implement some sort of penalty for dying, just something to make people think a bit more instead of just rushing in and not being afraid to die at all. That would also make the curve a bit smoother for difficultly levels and Hardcore. I'm certainly one of those people that plays in a way that avoids death as much as possible but at some point people will just start to brute force their way through (Though I don't see a huge number of people doing that after all the "World First" crap settles down)

This game really is amazing. Even though the launch was terrible, the art style has really grown on me and I love every minute I'm in this world.

Yep, this is the defining action rpg/loot game out there. Honestly, Diablo II just doesn't hold up even if some of it's design decisions are superior for hardcore gaming (like dying and having to recover your gear, etc) . Drinking potions like a mad man and the clunky skill interface in Diablo 2 is outdated at this point. Boss battle are also so much more involving in III, but I wouldn't expect anything less thx to all the experience Blizzard acquired with WoW. :p

so has that DH shield-follower bug been fixed?? my templar is still using his from act 1....

There was a blue post saying that it was fixed. And from what I understand the bug was only if a DH gave the templar a shield before he officially offers to join you. So it basically was just an issue for a few minutes of gametime.

What makes you say that? If you were levelling your crafter then salvaging is much more useful than cheap change.

Because the gold you get is better for sniping really cheap, really good buyout auctions. Upgrading the blacksmith is expensive and crafting an item with decent mods can also be very expensive. If you're playing a "pure" style with no AH, then you might be better off upgrading the smith and crafting the best stuff you can.

I've replaced my templar's shield many a times...
The bug occurs when you give him a new shield before you officially recruit him (apparently you can bring up the menu the first time he tags along). It seems many people didn't read that part.

Ah, yeah, I just think it might be prudent to give up on that at this point.

With the AH and cheap rares becoming the way to gear quickly and efficiently, isn't fast money king at this point?

I'm not sure I'm deadly into the idea yet of investing tons of cash into the crafter to eventually be able to craft my own shit to eventually sell for higher prices for the long term gain. I kind of just want to get stronger now and prioritize my first play through.

What's a set item?

Green item; they have a stat budget similar to legendaries, with certain stats that will be "baked in" to the item and a few randoms, and like legendaries they have a non-random name. In addition, they belong to a set, which is a named group of items, usually about three or four total items but sometimes more or fewer. If you equip all of the items from a particular set you activate special set bonuses, which are usually powerful effects like buffing for particular skills, resource generation, and so forth.

Starting on a wizard any good advice for damage while not becoming a total glass cannon?

Anything really. Once you get diamond skin early on and then ice armor, I find I can run right into a group of enemies and light them up with aoes while being relatively safe. This works in normal at least.

GG!

My plan was the following:

But now that I've seen wizzard 1-60 (played with a friend), I'd rather go Monk next because they're derp :3
