So it's better to actually vendor crap blues instead of salvaging Essences/Teeth from them now?

Yeah. Vendor every blue unless you're gonna put them on a follower or save them for another char or something.

It isn't till you get to the Nightmare-level Lizard Eyes (about 200 each) and the Hell/Inferno mats that prices start to go up.

What makes you say that? If you were levelling your crafter then salvaging is much more useful than cheap change.

It's pointless to salvage blues on Normal/Nightmare. Subtle & Shimmering Essences sell for far less on the AH than you can vendor simple blues for. If you want Subtle Essences it is far cheaper and much quicker simply to buy them in bulk off the AH.

The only reason to salvage blues at this point on Normal/Nightmare is if you are insistent on not using the AH whatsoever.

Bah, it seems that there's a 1/3 or so chance of the cave spawning and then who knows what chance of spawning the correct monster inside it. At least the cave spawns in the same place all the time and it's close to the checkpoint...

I just want to echo, that I really believe the General Chat thing will fix the D/C thing for a lot of people. I just logged into play again for the second time today, and this time, I forgot to join Gen...was booted within 2 minutes.
When you were removed, did you get error 3007?? I might need to try this if you did...

Here's my noob Wizard. Just got my CE, so I can finally get past Act 1. Just been waiting. :P Also, how do you use the wings you get from the CE? I don't see it in stash.

Characters created before entering a CE key don't get them, but every other character does and they are account bound. So just make a level 1 anything, put them in stash, get them from stash with your main dude, and delete the level 1.

This makes sense, but why are people selling mats so cheap? Why didn't they just vendor their weapons instead of salvaging and selling the mats for less?

Oh thank you, never would've know this.

is there any way to remove auctions after the 5 minutes? because yesterday i put up a few crap rares unknowingly at like 1k gold each when theyre worth a few hundred tops so theyre taking 3 spots out of my 10 auction spots. Why are the auction lengths always 2 days? no way to make it less?

The zones in this game looks sooooo good. Blizzard's art as its finest. Only the character models are not up to par, but since the camera is so far away, its really only noticeable when you're in the character select screen.

game is unbelievable
There won't be a better game for a long time

I love the art style so much. Tons of detail in the environment and i love the painted look (similar to DotA 2's) instead of just slathering shiny bump-mapped textures all over the place like in Path of Exile

I'm afraid you cannot cancel after the first 5 minutes. Maybe try contacting support?

After finishing the game, what I'm really noticing in comparison to D2 and what is really disappointing is (dunno if I should spoiler this, not story related, but related to how quests work)
there are no special quest rewards. Every quest grants you exp and gold. In D2 there was at least one quest per act that would give you an upgrade to your character, or some item modification. There were satisfying quest milestones in the game that felt good each playthrough, but that's lacking in D3. Only exp, gold and boss/treasure loot.

No idea. Honestly I think the market will take a little while to normalize, because I think part of it is just the supply/demand aspect (not a lot of demand, whole lot of supply) driving prices down, but you're right, those blues should all be vendored.

I suspect most of the money will come from selling gems in bulk. Doesn't it take like 10k mid level gems to make the highest tier possible?

If I were to guess, probably to discourage people to spam the AH with shit.

Screw the always online haters, I love the Auction house - just made bank off commodities and bought myself some fancy new stuff and had a lot over to invest in a house.

There's also a lot of things Blizzard could have polished in this game.

IMHO this game is great, -- could be even GoTY. But there's so many things wrong with it as well including the infamous server problems we have.

Not only that but auction house needs to have a little bit more details in there including running price point of an item, the time remaining and such.

The elective mode should be defaulted on.

And overall the DRM. Seriously, although they did announce that this game needs constant net connection back all the way 4 years ago, it's the fact that it's so INCONVINIENT. (would have also helped if it actually worked good in the beginning, so it didn't have such a bad rep)

Those are my opinions so far as a customer and a player.

And I might be missing out on some other stuff but those are just my main concerns.

When you were removed, did you get error 3007?? I might need to try this if you did...

Yes; I'd get removed. I'd attempt to resume, it'd give me Error 316407. Then within 30 seconds, Error 3007. And any attempt to quit the game altogether before 3007 showed up would result in a crash. Joining General Chat works, for some fucking reason. Just click it every time you log in.

It has totally saved my sanity and now the game is playable.

You know, I kind of felt the same way. I said as much last night in vent to my buddies, reminiscing about radament and rescuing anya for resists.

Once reaching level 60, do you unlock every single skill and rune in the game for that specific class, and just have to decide which combos to use when?

I think it's a good policy. It will help curb the chinese farmers and others from taking over the AH. Smart move, and it hurts their AH profits too since there won't be as many auctions yet they still did it.

Yes. You're encouraged to stick with one build per session since you get a stacking MF buff for killing elite packs. Swapping skills gets rid of the buff.

I've just got into ACT 2 with my WD, level 17.

I'm starting to want to change class though, I feel like my WD is either underpowered normally, or overpowered when I go in and use soul harvest.

The art in ACT II so far has been amazing.

This makes sense, but why are people selling mats so cheap? Why didn't they just vendor their weapons instead of salvaging and selling the mats for less?

Because people are dumb. This happens during the launch of every WoW expansion too. People are so desperate to unload their stuff that they don't bother to do some quick math.

During Cataclym people were so desperate to level their jewlcrafting that they were putting up crafted stuff for cheaper then then the actual cost of the gems at a vendor. I made tons of gold just buying gems and then vendoring them.

I guess thats simply where achievements and challenges come into play? (the milestones at least)

I think a lot of people just don't realize their mistake. It's going to take a little bit for everything to start balancing out.

The other day I wanted a Flawless Topaz but they were going for 6k gold, I searched for 3 Regular Topaz and they were going for 2.2k gold each... makes sense, so I searched for 9 Flawed Topaz and for some reason they were going for only 300 gold each - saved over 3k gold like that. On the same token, I bought two Flawless Rubies and a Flawless Topaz yesterday for 500 gold each. Some people are just too dumb to check or just want their money so fast that they don't care how much they charge.

I imagine a lot of it is people who weren't aware that things like Subtle Essences would basically become obsolete once you hit Nightmare (outside of crafting <level 30 sets, perhaps). So they end up stacking huge amounts of those mats from salvaging tons of blues, at some point go "ah fuck these are worthless now," and are selling them on the AH to make some money back.

So it may be up in the air whether or not the very cheap mats on the AH will remain. But right now that's definitely the way to go. So get it while the gettin's good :P

Also, Falling Teeth (the Normal-level rare mats) are also very cheap.

Yeah, deals to be had right now as people make big accounting errors.

Since both the Blacksmith AND the Stash are account wide you think people would just use the mats for their other characters... I know I would. Again, I just think they're not doing the math or they're simply being careless.

Haha, yeah... I'm honestly trying not to exploit it too much but I have taken advantage a few times.
