Oh yes. In the later acts of normal I was nearing 1300dps with 5 stacks of both up. Was ludicrously easy, just drop a grasp and acid cloud and everything dies, lol.

Expecting it to not be as simple on nightmare though hopefully.

Depends on what health globe drops are like there and above. Since Gruesome Feast is percentage-based it's naturally more effective the higher your INT is, so if health globes keep dropping you're going to have truly silly INT stats in the higher difficulties.

my characters are gone, but I hope that's just temporary

anyway, my wizard is in act 1 hell now, and I'm starting to feel a little week next to some of the other classes. Started a monk and found out that he can dish out 140% aoe weapon damage as well with just standard attacks, on top of tons of survivability (even with frost nova and crystal shield and archon form teleport, my wizard dies incredibly fast despite having over 12k hp)

and something else, I've been using Hyrda with various runes ever since I got the spell and I noticed that the poison pools of the venom Hyrda seem to stack on top of another. My Hydra basically took down the act 3 boss alone on nightmare (remarkably fast as well)

Can someone explain in really simple terms how coop works between players who are in different chapters and on different levels of a character? Will it be the quests of the one behind?

Thanks a ton for the recommendation, Bradach. I'll have to pick up one of these, I'm just not fast enough on the keys to activate those skills. Though I'm left-handed so I'll have to activate with my ring finger.

Plus three top keys for potion, inventory and skills

Kiss your kb goodbye!

Any skill recommendations for a sword and board Barb? I like the one taunt/rune that sucks everyone in towards me, then I throw on rend which gives me back a % of life and then I also get more health orbs to handle packs. Any suggestions?

is anyone else having more fun with strangers?

have tried a few sessions with 2 of my friends and they're infuriating.. very slow and get abusive at the slightest hint of pace..

playing act 2 nightmare 3 randoms and we're smashing the content, just powering thru it, skipping all the unimportant stuff and always on the move. my friends won't ever be like that

I've only tried once so far and it was terrible. I joined in act2/hell and the 3 people were all off in seperate areas doing their own thing (and dying over and over) instead of sticking together and doing the quest. smh

The person hosting picks what quest you are doing and those that join get pulled into wherever that is. Or at least that's how it has worked in my experience.

Aaaaand boom! level 50 monk + hell difficulty :3 Gotta love dat act 3 experience (17 hours playtime btw)

edit: c'mon D3GAF!

Do the Hirelings leech XP like they did in Diablo II?

Also, the AH seems needlessly clunky. Why can't we just search for a specific item or name or type? Or sort by name? Why don't gems list stats when you hover over them in the AH?

No. And I agree with the AH comments. They missed some must-have features.

This is probably a dumb question, but last night a lower-level friend invited me to play in his game. Now this morning i'm still on his quest. How do I get back to my original progress point?

On the main menu after logging in but before you hit resume, there's a change quest button that lets you change your active quest.

change quest and then select the part of the act that you were closest to before. you will lose some progress switching acts, unfortuantley.

D3 and me are not on speaking terms. This dual wield life leech idea has ruined our relationship!
T_T Riggs ♥ ♥ ♥

What's more fun to play! WD or DH?
Got a wizard not feeling it so much, only lvl 25 though.

I want to do crazy ass dps so my dad will be proud of me. Sorry on 24 hrs of no sleep and counting.

Hopefully someone can give me some insight into this, I have been trying to find a solution for 6 hours.

My game has a weird problem that is bugging me so badly while I play. The screen "hitches" or "micro stutters" or something, I'm not really sure what to call it. Any time I move my character and the game world is scrolling, it sort of move forward and back really quickly, pretty much a really bad stutter. However, my FPS never goes below 60. (I use Vsync)

I have tried everything I can think of to remedy this problem, messed with graphics settings, nVidia Inspector, vsync, adaptive vsync, no vysnc, triple buffering, different GPU drivers, everything. I have an i7 930 OC'ed to 3.5GHz, 8GB RAM, SSD, and a 2GB GTX 680. SO I should be able to run this game fine. I don't have a problem with screen tearing or FPS.

I did install the game onto my MacBook Pro 2011, and it kinda seems like it has the same problem as the PC, but maybe not as bad. It's the worst in places like Tristam, the base towns. When out in the world it's not so bad.

I'm just wondering if this is something that is my problem or if it is something more widespread or a general problem with the game.

You know my first idea is that this sounds like server lag. Kinda like rubberbanding, or snapping back slightly. FPS doesnt drop, everything else is fine, but the screen moves back slightly from where you were. Not much you can do to fix that.

It could also be the microstutter that I had in beta (which seems cleared up in retail) where the loading of art, animations, etc would cause my screen to freeze frame for a few seconds. This was more of a hard lock type feel to it, not the back and forth that lag feels like.

Blizzard needs to nerf its amazingness

WD better be fun guys!!! Rolling one in a few hrs. Please tell me its fun? Be honest though.

I enjoy it, but I also feel that up until now (level 34), I have very little choice in what skills to use. Some skills just feel too useful at the moment (especially Dire Bats).

People complaining a lot about Belial in Nightmare/Hell, but I didn't die once against him. Then again, it's probably just really easy to do as Demon Hunter :)

So is the correct way to play first complete normal, then take the same character through all difficulties to max it out, and only then switch class and start Normal with new class again?

Lol, I thought the fight was hard even on Normal, required a huge amount of hits with my Barbarian

just dinged 60! :D

alright currently at the beg. of Act 2 normal and i am having MUCH more trouble just surviving here compared to Act 1 which was pretty easy!

for a Witch Doc, what is the second most important stat next to INT?

I need some more survivability up front so should i look out for ARMOR gear or is +VIT more important for that HP bonus?

or do i need to simply not get into the enemies face as much as a WD ? lol i just LOVE to go soul harvest 5 stacks+ bat flamethrower right in a mob pack's face though!!

Just finished act 3 last night, loving this game. Playing as a wizard with two if my friends, (monk & barb), thinking after this I'm gonna rock out some demon hunter :)
