Reroll for the Scythe, it shouldn't take more than an hour or two running bounties.
Finish the campaign once then play Adventure mode.So I just picked up reaper of souls.
I've played through vanilla diablo 3 a few times, but I'm not really sure what's different now. What should I be doing with a brand new character?

Quick clarification: In adventure mode, do I not have to worry about what act I choose? Is it all the same difficulty?
I was basically doing the stuff in act 1 then immediately jumped to act 4, but the difficulty didn't change.
Ahh sounds like my luck with The Compass Rose. I had Ancient Trag in most slots, 3 Gifts, etc. before my 1st Compass Rose dropped this season. Enjoy blood builds a lot, but the high risk can be frustrating to put it mildly.Yeah I've been doing that as I actually have two scythe so I can reroll one at will. Rolled it over two dozen times already, haven't gotten an ancient version yet. Also been upgrading rare scythes too trying to get one. This is why I don't gamble in real life, lol.
New update on PTR:
https://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/20976068/patch-261-ptr-patch-notes-8-15-2017
Looks like more buffs all around bringing things up to par.
Mild nerf to the Firebird 6pc, but a buff to Chantodo's - maybe that balances out?
Wastes got a DR buff too (50% DR lasts 50 sec after WW)
Season 12 hype!!
Where are you seeing that? I am seeing 3 seconds. I read it as the standard 4pc extended some so WW builds can pop other skills without risking getting one-shot.
Natalya FoK looks pretty viable now.
Shiiiiiiet man you're in for a treat. I can't possibly list all the changes from vanilla D3 to present day RoS D3, but, in a nutshell:
- there's a 5th act for you to explore.
- you can now level your character to lvl 70 instead of 60, and there's a crusader class that comes with the expansion. You can also buy the necromancer class separately.
- there's an Adventure mode where you'll be playing most of the time. Imagine being able to go to every zone in every act whenever you want, no scenario, randomly-generated dungeons that give you legendary upgradable gems with special powers and a special currency that you can gamble for a fairly high chance of getting legendary items...
- this is arguably the single biggest "fun enhancer" with Adventure mode, but the looting system is infinitely better than it used to be: you almost always get items your class can use, and they almost always roll your main stat (instead of, say, rolling dexterity if you're a wizard or intelligence if you're a barbarian). Also, legendaries drop much more often than before. Speaking of legendaries...
- legendaries and set items are now nearly always way better than rare and magical items. Also, they have special attributes that give you huge bonuses or alter your skills in a way that makes them much more powerful. In addition, you have a chance of rolling ancient legendaries (legendaries with even better stat rolls) and primal ancient legendaries (ancient legendaries with max stat rolls).
- there's now an item called Kanai's Cube where you can, among other things, extract legendary powers to use them as permanent passives, upgrade rare items to legendary items, and convert crafting materials to other crafting mats
- many skills have been reworked many times. Some of them have even been replaced with new ones.
I'm forgetting a lot of things to be sure, but this is off the top of my head.
Select whichever class looks fun to you (knowing that some have a higher potential than others currently) and level him/her by playing straight from Act 5 once (finish the campaign, basically), and then switch to Adventure mode and never look back.
WUT.
Not sure if I should respec my AD or nah.
sorry i meant 3 sec typed 50 twice. brain fart lol
): I opened my game to the public but no one joined. I remember getting a full party practically the instant I did that at launch.

Awesome thanks guys.
I rolled a seasonal Crusader and went straight to adventure mode, it seems pretty cool, but it's a little easy right now. I suppose I should go through the main game once then hit adventure up on hard.
Your AD?
Basically, the cube lets you sacrifice any legendary (that has a special legendary effect) in exchange for its power, which then gets added to you collection of legendary powers. You can then swap it around with other legendary powers you own in your collection. The only restriction to this is that you can only have 3 powers active at the same time: one must come from a weapon or off-hand, one must be from an armor piece, and one must come from a ring or amulet power. Also, you can't stack the powers from your gear and from your cube. You can't, say, wear a Ring of Royal Grandeur (-1 item requirement for set bonuses, so you only need 5 pieces of a set to get the 6-piece set bonus) AND have its effect in the cube at the same time. Well, you can, but it won't stack. You won't magically get a -2 item requirement. You'll only get the effect once (from your cube, I assume, since cubed powers always operate at their maximum potency).
Yeah, I'm doing story on expert, and I'm only level 17. I guess everyone is done with that, but I was hoping the idea of a "seasonal" hero would mean there were a few still doing the beginner stuff.
My BNET ID is Griddlelol#1349 on EU server. I don't think I want a boost, I'd like to go through and learn my class and the game again because I pretty much forgot everything about it.
This kinda defines my RNG this season
I guess nobody in here has time to talk about new player/pre-farming stuff, hahaha. Ah well.

Is there a way to change servers/realms?
I noticed I'm in the Americas, and I am only find brazilian players and there are a few only.
I just discovered this after searching for games and there are ZERO persons playing rifts or GR an T13? Imposible.
I need to move to USA servers, can this be done?
The Americas - For players in the US, Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
Europe - For players in the European Union, Eastern Europe, Russia, Africa, and Middle Eastern countries such as Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
Asia - For players in South Korea and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
You say I can change at the launcher, do you mean the blizzard App? I can't find the option to change region...You can switch between 3 big regions at the launcher.
There seem to be sub regions like Brazil with their own servers. Maybe this link info still works.
