Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition |OT| Loot has never looked this good before!

Mr. Community
I might do when I get on later. With the amount of fast Russian long swords and the like out there, I predominantly play solo, so it'd be nice to have someone to roll with once in a while

I'm a little all over the place with toons at the moment. Have a DH capable of low 40 GR's, and a sader and monk doing high 20's. A couple more pieces of gear for each should see them comfortably in the 40's tho. Also have a Barb at level 58 that I need to finish. Haven't used barbs much at all in all my time with the game, but I'm interested all of a sudden. I also had an unoptimised chicken/pet doc that was a hoot doing 40s, but died a few days ago, that I need to get back. I have a full set of Zuni's stashed that should help with that. And then there's Wiz, which I haven't tried since the patch, but been meaning too.

Much to do. At least I have the 1-70 process (solo) down to about 2 and half hours

I'll be happy to team up with you!

I play legit as well.

Lost a HC thorney crusader last night just as I was starting to figure out the build. Was only in GR28 as well. Only had the Invoker 4, and Shield wack 4 as a place holder till I found a couple more bits of invoker.

I don't even know what happened. After I changed out to a yellow gem in my weapon and replaced Fate of the Fell with a pigsticker, elites were almost literally disappearing after dropping consecrate and iron skin. That was until I rounded a corner saw some elites, dove into the middle of them, went through power activation to slaughter them, they disappeared as normal, and I was reminded of my deeds instead of collecting the deaths breath that I normally would. Literally have no idea what got me. We just glibbed each other

I was pretty slack in keeping the damage reduction from bombardment up though, and it wasn't up at the time when that happened, so lesson learnt I suppose

Demon Hunter Mastery

Thought I would through this little guide together to help anyone that might be struggling with the Demon hunter set dungeons, I don’t see much online regarding this and everything I have watched doesn’t really cover skills to use and one’s that I have seen aren’t really using the best skill for the job. I put this together to make it easier to complete these and outside of the one set dungeon with the following setups I can complete them every time first go.
I am listing these in order of easiest to hardest:

Natalya's Vengence Dungeon

• Kill 200 Monsters without taking fatal damage
• Maintain Rain of Vengence for 90 Seconds
• Do not exhaust your hatred

The easiest of the dungeons by far especially with the new buff to the Natalya set. Really the only thing you need to worry about is keeping Rain of Vengeance going for 90 seconds, the easiest way to do this is to take Dark Cloud rune, the reason for this is due to it lasting 8 seconds which gives plenty of time to get your Rain of Vengeance back to cast again. Watch when this will run out and use it as late as possible. Strafe is a good skill to use as you will hit lots of enemies at once which will give you almost unlimited uptime on Rain. For weapons I used Natalya’s slayer with off-hand Calamity and in the cube I had Dawn so that I could have full uptime on vengeance for extra damage output and hatred regen as well as Zodiac ring for extra cooldown. Crashing Rain and wolf companion is also needed for the extra damage. In the end though I had over 2 and a half minutes left after completing all the objectives. As an extra taking Preparation with Punishment will regen 75 hatred just in case you run low and need a quick boost of hatred. Ballistics, Thrill of the Hunt, Cull the Weak and Hot Pursuit are good options here as well for Passives.

Shadows Mantle Dungeon

• Kill 122 Monsters without taking fatal damage
• Chain bonus damage impale hits on 20 consecutive enemies 5 times
• Slow 45 enemies with your Shadow Power

This is another easy one, you just have to take your time and make sure you don’t miss your impale throws. Nothing should come close to killing you in this so you won’t have to worry about getting up close. I used Lord Greenstone's Fan because it was my highest damaging weapon at the time but Karlei's Point works as well but you won’t utilize either weapons passives. Taking the Impale rune with grievous wounds will give you the best chance for clearing this, Ricochet does not work well with this as I have seen that if the dagger splits off and hits a wall you will lose your chain. It is important to note that even though Shadow’s Mantle activates all your runes you still have to proc it in order to slow down enemies. So make sure you get into groups hit shadow power to slow down enemies and then use impale. Do not use Vengeance or a Companion as you can lose your chain. I killed everything with just impale the whole way through. Use Preparation with Punishment to regain 75 hatred in conjunction with Reapers wraps and you should not run into any hatred issues. Use Hot Pursuit passive for the extra movement speed. This is a bit of a tight one and I am usually left with about 20seconds left, so it does cut it close. Everything should die in one hit anyway but in case it doesn’t remember not to hit it again as you will lose the chain, go to the next enemy and then back to the other one.

Marauder Dungeon

• Kill 116 Monsters without taking fatal damage
• Keep a minimum of 3 Sentries active for the duration of the dungeon
• Do not allow any enemies into melee range

This would be the easiest if it wasn’t for the worms, honestly this is probably the only thing that will get you as this is an easy build to run. You need a Manticore with Bombadiers Rucksack as well as custom engineering. Skill for Sentries is Polar Stations. It is really easy to keep up 3 sentries with this setup, every time a sentry is active just drop it. Cluster Arrows will destroy everything before they get to anywhere near melee range and Evasive Fire with Focus will help with hatred regen and proc Iceblink to slow enemies. The only problem is the worms that come up below you. A good skill to use is Smoke Screen with Displacement this allows for better movement over Vault and will let you move in different directions which will help in trying to get the worms to pop out, the increased movement speed will make you safe if they do pop out. Companion can be used here, I opted for the Bat for more cluster arrows and I would take Preparation with Invigoration for the extra discipline for smoke screen. Ballistics, Thrill of the Hunt, Cull the Weak and Hot Pursuit are good options here as well for Passives.

Unhallowed Essence Dungeon

• Kill 320 Monsters without taking fatal damage
• Hit 20 enemies with a single Multishot 6 times
• Never allow your discipline to drop below 50%

This is by far the worst one of the lot, not because it is hard but because this is totally up to RNG, if you don’t spawn the density for this then you will not be able to complete this. In my numerous tries I was either able to get this 8 time or 1 time, it all depends on what RNG gives you. The enemies are also all spiders so you can’t really round them up and if you could it would waste too much time. The first time I completed this I was left with 2 seconds on the clock and it continued in a similar way with further consecutive successful attempts so this one is a very very close one. Really the only thing you need is multishot with a yangs recurve and dead mans legacy. You do not have to kill 20 enemies at once just hit them. Hot Pursuit works well to help you get around as you can’t really spam Vault here. No companion as it could kill that 1 extra hit you may need. The only thing to use here is Multishot, Evasive Fire with Focus and Vault. Nothing else is needed. For Multishot I went with Fire at will for reduced hatred cost. This is a terribly designed dungeon so you may think it is the easiest or the worst depending on RNG. Passives I just used Hot Pursuit, Perfectionist, Night Stalker and archery.

Hopefully this guide helps some of the Demon Hunters, I tested a few different things here and this is what seemed to give me the most success rate with the dungeons.

Holy shite wizards are ridiculously OP this patch.

Been playing with a group consisting of an energy twister wizard, support barb and a support monk. I was using an invoker sader (which was utterly useless in this group btw)

Proceded to enter a GR 90 and the wizard started disintegrating everything!! I had no idea about that build and was gob smacked. Ended up finishing it with 7 mins to spare.

90? Damn, I'm still 71 solo, crusader here too.

Managed to solo GR78 with my sader :D
Still missing ancient gear on gloves, helm, ammy and both rings as well.

The amount of toughness this build has is mental. Able to do GR77 without unity and without using "laws of justice" (i use the bombardment skill instead so my belt of the trove procs benefit from the barrels of spikes rune)

Planning on using this build till i get the gear for LoN Bombardment.

Seasons are just for pc, so if you're playing on console, you need not bother bout it.

"Seasons are Diablo 3's version of the Diablo 2 Ladders, and they were added to Reaper of Souls in Patch 2.1 in August 2014. When a season is active, players can make new characters (hardcore or softcore) and click the "Seasonal Hero" button during creation. That will designate their characters as Seasonal, and they will only be able to play or interact with other Seasonal Characters for the duration of that season.

Each Season is a fresh start; players can not bring in any of their existing characters, items, paragon points, gold, artisan levels, etc, from their normal account. This puts everyone on a level playing field, and Blizzard sees it as a way to bring players back into the game, as they can play with others of their power level, rather than trying to join public games with Paragon 700 Torment 6 steamrollers.

Special season-exclusive content includes Leaderboards, Conquests, and Seasonal Legendaries.

Seasons will run for a TBD time, presumably around 3 months, and when a season ends all gold, items, characters, etc are merged back into a player's main, non-seasonal account.[1] As each season ends a new season will begin, and if players want to take part they must create new seasonal characters and go from scratch all over again."

Considering all this, what was the reason again for not implementing this on consoles? Lack of control over the servers or something like that, right?

Krayzie man. I love you.

Lol. I've got other pieces as well depending on what rolls you need.
You going with the inna's pet build eh?

Yea something like that. Though they did mention something about revisiting the idea back in August. Haven't heard anything since.

Yeah I want to run Quin's fire Mangle pet build. Looked like simple fun, stand in a mosh pit and hold down generator. A nice change from DH thats making my hands cramp haha.

Hurts to change all my GG Lightning gear from SC monk and look for fire damage stuff now :(

finished the lvl70 hc char. Now really only 200 bounties to go till platinum. fucked up trophy. How did they come up with 500... Would rather do 200 rifts. At least i can vault 5-6 times in succession with my DH and gain a lot of ground fast.
Time to put on new podcasts...

Can somebody add me to the Diablo 3 PS4 Gaf group? None of my friends have this game and everybody says stay away from public games.

Ahhh Pagan. Remember that GR 32 that Tunesmith, you and I attempted once back in 2014? Boy did we get butt raped. Now though, I could fart and melt GR 32 :)

Just had a new patch (1.12) pop up on my PS4, wonder if this will resolve the performance issues that showed up after the previous patch..?

How does anyone handle the Plague of Burrowers bounty? I went in with a Monk and after ten minutes only killed one.

Hey guys. I just recently got into post game level 70. I'm Witch Doctor Paragon level 62. I was wondering on how I can maximize my post game activities (bounties, rifts, grift, etc.)

Also, could anyone playing Witch Doctor recommend a pre Carnevil pet build? I'm still trying to get my hands on one and Dagger of Darts.

Thanks for the future tips.

Hey diablo-GAF. I'm thinking about getting back into this (ps4) after I finish witcher 3. I'm probably going to start from scratch. A). What's the most fun character for a newcomer (in your opinion) and B). Would someone want to toss some overpowered gear in my mailbox!? Is that how it works?? Thanks for help in advance.

Guys, I need your opinions!

I recently started playing Diablo again. Rolled a Season 5 DH on PC, got pretty much all the 4 sets. I just hit Torment 10 too.
I'm having a lot of fun, and... I'm wondering if I should look into the PS4 version, since I rarely game on PC anyway.

My main concerns right now is probably inventory management and if you can clear GRifts as easy on console as you can on PC.
Is it a different experience? Or is it basically the same with adapted user interface?

From what i've heard, there are some builds/playstyle that may be difficult to play on the controller, like the strafe natalya from season 3. Back in those days, we posted a video on our local community of a high GR clear with natalyas, and then a console player responded that its difficult to play like that on the xbox one controller.

So I thought I joined the aforementioned group and it looks like there's only four members in it and my membership is still pending? Is that right? What's going on there?

A) Might be Demon Hunter; between the four end game sets, the character does play very differently among them, which means that you can build one set well enough to use to hunt for other sets should you grow to dislike or be bored by what you have. Other classes tend to have only one build/set which clearly outperforms any others, though that doesn't become a concern until you try to climb higher in Greater Rifts (beyond 70 or so at least). If all you care about is raw damage output, Wizard seems to be the leader in this patch, but that's largely thanks to an exploitable bug for how you can cast two spells together without restriction, and each new patch tends to give the DPS crown to a different class.

B) You'd have to leave your contact information here for people to add you, and it would be far better to specify in here what you're looking for rather than hope for random kindness and system generated gifts to come about. It also wouldn't hurt to state if you're open to playing with others or not. Once a friend is added to the game's mail listing, it cannot be removed, so some of us who have a list of 100+ people who never play the game anymore are a bit wary of adding new friends. It can be a bit disheartening to have gifts drop for people who you're not sure you have ever seen play, as well as scroll through a gigantic list of strangers when mailing things.

I'm wondering if I should look into the PS4 version, since I rarely game on PC anyway.

My main concerns right now is probably inventory management and if you can clear GRifts as easy on console as you can on PC.

It's basically the same, but -
It is a long time since I played on PC but I think it is the same. You will be missing out on seasons though.
- though the only thing you're missing out on lacking seasons is having fresh characters to level up and a leaderboard. The lack of the latter is a bit of a shame, but if you really felt like manually moving gear to another account and deleting your characters, you can accomplish the former if you really felt like it. Or just play Hardcore if you actually like the leveling process in this game. I personally can't stand it.

There are other subtle differences too.
· Public games are basically not an option, because most people in them tend to use hacked gear and gems, the use of which will mean that more experience is shared to you than normal which means that your paragon levels will skyrocket upwards regardless of if you use hacked items yourself. If there is an OT2 to this game, I insist that the subtitle should be Do not play in public games, because it cannot be stressed enough.
· The controller input method does indeed mean that certain skills and builds are not nearly as useful on console than PC, because you cannot specifically target locations on the map to move to or attack. The game generally does a good enough job of making a proper assumption of your intent, but it can only do so much, particularly for when you are using movement skills like leaps or teleports.
· Nephalem Glory globes. It sounds like a neat idea on paper which would give the game a more offensive and active pace - get a kill streak, get a globe to pick up which flatly doubles your attack power for a limited time. However, and despite Blizzard's insistence to the contrary, this means that the game is balanced around the assumption that you will have the effect in place, which means that all enemy HP values are substantially greater than the PC equivalent. Also, once your streak reaches 400 kills (which isn't that particularly difficult to do in certain circumstances or when playing in groups), the globes stop dropping outright, which means that you have to stop or even port to town to get the kill streak to properly terminate. This weekend, I played in a 4 man group which cleared an 85, and one thing we had to do was collectively port to town once we reached the start of a new level so that our kill streaks would all stop, or else we wouldn't have Glory globes drop, which means we wouldn't have had power to clear the Grift in time.

The inventory management is fine, and arguably easier to use than on PC when it comes to moving items around within your character and among that and your stash. The biggest pain is transferring items or gold with a specific quantity, because the game doesn't allow you to simply scroll between the different numeric columns and change to the desired value. Instead, you have to hold left or right and let it scroll through the single digits one at a time until it scrolls through the tens, then through the hundreds, and so on. It is awful.

It's more similar than different, and overall I think the question largely depends on who you intend to play the game with and on what platform are they playing. If you're never going to play with others, it's probably better off to just stick with PC.

Swapped out swiftmount for an ancient sun keeper with 30% dmg to elites. (Had no idea it went up to 30%, thought max was just 10%.)
Rolled off the base dmg to 10% cdr. Was lucky and got 8% cdr on the 3rd attempt. Then i must have spent about 300 DB's till it rolled 10%. Sheeesh

ok.. I have to ask this. When getting gear in the game.. how exactly do you know what the best gear is for you?

I usually say "all green arrows in Health, strength and defense" means good to go, but what about defense being higher by 2 green triangles, but health and strength are down a red triangle?

For the record... I am a demon hunter. Any help with this would be awesome as I am afraid I have sold actual upgrades because I don't know the system.
