Diablo immortal releasing on June 2

I don't get why anyone who has access to Diablo 3 would be excited about this?

People who want the below (i.e., new narrative Diablo 3 content):

It's set before Diablo 3. Infact, it's set 5 years after Diablo 2.

Interesting. And there'll be a dedicated PC version. All of this sounds fantastic; at minimum it seems like this will be a cool stopgap in the run-up to Diablo 4's release. . .one hopes.

The first Diablo game I´ll completely ignore....
I hope this fails horribly and be it just so blizzard doesn`t continue chasing the mobile money anymore.

oh wow the shitty mobile game has "new" content? it must be worth your time then. enjoy mindless consumption because it has a brand you recognize plastered on it.
Shitty? Have you played because pretty sure you haven't, if you're just gonna shitpost and don't care for the game at all, you should do something better with your life.
Thanks though, I'll be playing while thinking about you crying that someone is playing a game you don't like :)

Don't forget to give them your money out of spite too.

I find it funny that this game won't be released in The Netherlands and Belgium because those countries have stronger rules against loot boxes.

This alone tells me how heavily this game will focus on microtransactions.

As I can't game on console often due to lots of factors; Wife, kids wanting to rightfully share TV, and being a full time carer means it's hard to just sit with a controller at times - so this will be a blessing just like Apex and LoL is.

Hopefully more games follow suite soon too.

Is there a list for which European servers are "claimed" by various nationalities that don't have their own? Really don't want to play with a bunch of non-English speakers.

So you see, it's free to try so I'll play it and decide if it's good enough to keep playing like any other game. All games in this genre become mindless but the loot chase is usually fun. We'll decide if it's fun but we appreciate you looking out for us, man!

I'm looking forward to it. I need something to play when I have nothing to do at work. Will there be console versions as well? That would be sweet, playing during lunch break and continuing at home after work.

Excited to finally play this. The devs said pretty much everything I wanted to hear in the last Q&A. Should be good on both mobile and PC.

As a F2P mobile game, I'll never be able to trust that they aren't manipulating loot drops to drive players towards the cash shop.
I think there is an innate promise they will do that. Spending millions developing content and marketing it over years just for the hope people may spend some money on a totally optional and really unnecessary cash shop where they can enjoy mindless fun without it… yeah not happening 🎰.

i'm excited for it. got tired of diablo 3 long ago. i just hope they don't go too hard with micro transactions. i don't mind some but if it's purely p2w then fuck that.

Diablo 3 had a cash shop? Either I'm blind or it was really well hidden.

Hes referring to the early days of D3 when the real money auction house existed. They definitely manipulated legendary drops to inflate prices. That all ended when the auction house got ripped out and the game was ported to console.

It will not be released here in NL. Apparently it has too many lootboxes. So instead of adjusting that, Blizzard decided to not release it here.

So will the PC version be full of the same awful microtransactions and timer mechanics as typical mobile games? Will this bring PC gaming down by making this kind of thing acceptable?

Why would they put a game out in a country where it cannot make any money? there is 0 indication of what their like, if you have a f2p model with random drops, you can't be in that country. that's all it says.
