Dick Cheney and Howard Dean verbal fistfights

Of course, you all remember the recent utterances made by DNC Chairman Howard Dean on the Republican Party. Everything from they're dishonest, never made an honest living in their lives, that Tom DeLay should be in jail, and the GOP itself is a pretty monolithic party and comprised mostly of white, christian males.

The uproar ensued.

Dick Cheney, on Fox, shat out the following:

WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney slammed Democratic Party boss Howard Dean as "over the top" in a television interview to air Monday, saying Dean had helped Republicans more than Democrats.

"I think Howard Dean's over the top. I've never been able to understand his appeal. Maybe his mother loved him, but I've never met anybody who does," Cheney told Fox News Channel.

"So far, I think he's probably helped us more than he has them. That's not the kind of individual you want to have representing your political party," Cheney said.

No uproar.

Anywhooo, Dean responds about FauxNews:

My view is that Fox News is a propaganda outlet of the Republican Party and that I don't comment on Fox News.

:lol :lol :lol

Finally, a Democrat mentions the OBVIOUS.

Cheney also said "He's never won anything." Um, winning four gubernatorial races isn't victory?

Idiot.

Better yet, Drudge takes his shot at Hilary Clinton (and mind you, this is in something like a size 36 font smeared across the front page):

Howard Dean is going to end up missing in a few days if he keeps this shit up. My feeling is that he knows he won't be able to go any farther with his political career, so might as well pull a Bullworth and rattle the cages.

Heh, head over to mediamatters.org to see how much of a hatchet job that book is on Clinton. The author, Klein, even managed to crib paragraphs from another notable Clinton book, "The Clinton Wars", and not attribute the work properly.

It's almost as bad as the anti-Kerry book pushed to press vy these conservative imprints after he won the nomination.

It's my sincere hope that if Howard Dean ever needs a DNC assistant or replacement, that he'll tap Mike Tyson to follow suit. He's Muslim, black, and a real firestarter. Few things could be more perfect.

Sorry, that was an honest typo and I assure you I know the mistake! That said, when you read politics and news most of the day, some of these words just come out.

If Cheney's coming out of his bunker, you know that things are getting serious. Dean's smoking his predecessors as a fund raiser, and he's accomplishing this almost exclusively through grassrots and netroots. On top of that, looking at the activity this past weekend or so within the blogsphere confirms that the DNC coffers have recieved an even bigger boost due to Dean's recent actions.

As for Cheney's comment--the man is biggest hypocrit I've ever witnessed in my life time. I don't see how anything that Dean has said can even compare to the infamous "go fuck yourself" Cheney uttered in the Senate.

I think that's exactly what he's doing.

I hope so, because as much as I think Dean rocks, he really shouldn't be representing a party that will need at least 3.5 million votes next election in order to finally win.

It's a tough position for democrats. I don't think they should never comment on the Republicans' crazy antics, at the same time that's a hard thing to do these days without being labeled as some immoral jerk thanks to BushCo.
