Did anybody else see the "Next Issue" teaser in the new EGM?

Wasn't there a teaser a few months ago which strongly hinted towards a new Alex Kidd game? What happened to that?

I wanted to see it but then I thought, "No way man I'm patient." And then I gave a stoic but badass nod to the magazine saying outloud "yeah that's cool, that's cool."

Oh shit...it's gonna happen soon.

That's great! They're going to show Burnout 4 soon--the sequel to my favorite driving game of 2004! :D

Oh, wait a moment...

Agent X glances up a few lines.

Look before you ask :)

One of the best EGM features ever was The Hyrule Tattler, a tabloid esque look at OoT and the series' history. I haven't read it for a couple years, but if memory serves correctly, it's timeless kickassery. John R, John D, and Crispin probably worked on that shit.

Hopefully the new EGM will be similarly interesting. And yeah, I do realize my memory excels in the field of uselessness.

I was talking about the PS3 unveiling line. Haha, I don't care about Nintendo so much that I didn't even notice Zelda.

They should put Zelda as the large picture on the cover.

Does anyone know the last time a Nintendo property was on the cover of a major multiplatform magazine like EGM or Game Informer?

Yeah I remember that issue -- that was awesome! I miss those big-ass, in-depth cover stories EGM used to do.

On another topic, wasn't it EGM that blew the lid on the Xbox (system design, controller, games etc.)? It's probably a longshot with a similar type unveiling for the PS3, but here's hoping.

No big surprise, a month from now is like...3 weeks to E3, and that's only for the earliest copies that get to subscribers. There were bound to be some big exclusives around.

Thursday, March 31st.

Is that true? Nintendo giving an exclusive before E3 to a Western mag? I figured that the MP2 GI exclusive was a fluke.

At least MP2 was made by an American developer and was part of a series that has always been more popular over here, but Zelda?

EGM = lucky bastards!

A guess, or something you heard definitively? :)

EGM had better not be toying with us! I had pretty much written off the chances of a March unveil. Wouldn't the press have heard about this by now if it was happening next week? EGM evidently have, but what about our GAF journos? It'd be nice to have some corroboration (and some clarification as to the exact date/time).

ESRB Warning: Experience May Get Fucky During This Post

Goddamn if I wouldn't put $250 down to get a minute in a room with a cheater and a Live screamer. They would have to hose teeth and hair off those walls for fucking days.

Fuck reading about Tingle, I want to find out WHAT THE FUCK THESE FUCKING IDIOT FUCKING CLOWNS ARE FUCKING THINKING.

This man has a point.

Personally, as much as I love Zelda, I hate cheaters more.

That was the part of the post that struck me most too. "Meet Online Cheaters." It's so cordial sounding. Like they're gonna have a sit down over tea.

IT would be funny if Zelda got more space than the PS3 info......you would cry no? :lol

Dates to keep in mind:

PlayStation 2 first unveiling: Tokyo, March 2 1999
PlayStation 2 first launch: March 4 2000
PlayStation 3 first unveiling: Tokyo, March X 2005

Ehh...it likely would. But then exclusive hands-on previews tend to be longer than non-exclusive news articles, no? It doesn't say anything about the size or importance of said news.

I hope you're right.
