It's not the paper as much as the professor and her ridiculous methods.

Schools actually offer a "general studies" major? Might as well just retake high school.

I majored in liberal studies which is probably the same thing (basically 3 minors). Unless you're wanting to go into something specialized (engineering, medical school, computer science) it'll probably be fine. I had trouble finding a job, but the job market in my area blows, and I think that had more to do with it. Now that I'm working though I'm making pretty good money for a non-specialized degree.
