Drudge outdoes himself today with a post claiming Kerry came to the debate podium and allegedly takes a sheet of paper out of his breast pocket. The debate rules apparently say that you can bring NOTHING to the podium not even paper or pencil, and that all the materials will be placed for you on the podium.

Oh, but only as Drudge can do, the video Drudge posts as "proof" on his site bites Bush in the ass. If you zoom the video to full screen (right click on it while it's running and click "zoom" and then "full screen") you can see Bush unfolding a piece of paper and laying it down on his podium! Remember the debate rules say all paper will already be on the podium, and unless the debate organizers folded the paper up in a wad before placing it on the podium, Bush is cheating with his own cheat sheet.

Now, I could care less about this issue, but how dare Drudge and company try to come up with a scandal here when their own boy is caught doing exactly what they're accusing Kerry of doing?

Check out the Drudge video and keep your eyes on Bush's hands - notice his unfolding and laying flat a piece of paper. Priceless. (I particularly like the cheesy 1970s porn music in the background of the video.)

Damn, then from the looks of it he technically did cheat, but we'll never know for sure, so who gives a shit.

I'm really not trying to come off as a Bush supporter in regards to this video, BUT

I really need a higher res video to prove to me it's actually a paper he's unfolding. It looks more like he's taking the cap off of a pen, but it's so blocky I really can't tell one way or another.

yes. It certainly looks like Bush could be doing the same thing. His back it a bit more to the camera though, so it makes it harder to tell (especially with the video resolution)

They're also not allowed to bring pens IIRC.

Nope. They aren't allowed. I'm reviewing the video a bit more. I can't really tell if Bush is pulling an object out, although it looks likely.

Wait so if John Kerry reached into his pocket and pulled out a teddy bear that somehow made Bush unable to debate properly. You gotta be shitting me. I understand that rules are rules but to try and use this as an excuse for why Bush didn't come off as good as he wanted is BS. For the record I thought the entire debate was a tie.

lol, kerry doesnt need to cheat to make bush look like an idiot
Switch "kerry" and "bush" in that sentence with each other. By the way, what are Kerry's plans??? All he says is that they are "better" and "good." Never says how he will do them. How do people buy this shit????

I noticed Kerry was taking notes during the debate while Bush was reading notecards.
Those notecards had his written notes on them...Are you blind??? Of course he was taking notes.

Also, they probably can't bring their OWN pens. They supply each of them with a pen I bet. They weren't sitting there scribbling with a stick.

First tragedy, then farce.
wait.. is there are a reason they cant bring their own pen? What the hell are they going to do with a pen?

You just watch some James Bond movies and ask that again.

Bush is fucking pathetic. They have no chance in the upcoming debates, and are running scared.

He might do better on the town-hall format. There, he can act folksy and connect with voters.

OMG...from the posts on that site:

1) Kerry did violate the rules of the debate
2) Kerry brought an unauthorized device
3) It was a device he needed to look at so he placed it in front of him
4) Kerry used the unauthorized device during the debate

Whatever it was that he brought, it is clear that it was a tool or device to give Kerry an unfair advantage.

:lol

But seriously, who fucking cares? This is so trivial.
That's why it's funny. They spent all that time negotiating the terms and whatnot only to break them. It's hilarious in its stupidity.

You don't need to watch the debate(even though I did) to know that Kerry is a complete fuckoff.

Strange, I feel the complete opposite. Hell, all you have to do is live on the planet Earth to know that Bush is a crazed trigger-happy idiot.

And you base this on what, exactly? Your blind loyalty to bush or your ignorance on the matter as a whole?

Unfortunately, at some point Bush is going to have to stop throwing spin on the Iraqi war, and talk about other issues. Economy, healthcare, education, environment etc. Even homeland security. Our public schools have received no additional funding, Bush has pandered to industry at the expense of our environment, our airport and border security is as horrible as ever, Bush has done nothing to stop the exporting of our jobs to other countries, police departments in major cities still don't have the funding to fight terrorist attacks, million jobs lost in the U.S., and Bin Laden has ran free since we decided to play bully in Iraq. Oh, Bush also promised to raise the maximun amount for students loans, but then went and capped them off at a much lower figure. He also talked big about improving medicare/medicaid by restructuring the programs, but then goes and cuts funding from them, along with the student loan program, to give tax breaks to the wealthy. Bush and the Republicans have pissed away the last 4 years accomplishing next to nothing. Oh, Bush did get the No Student Left Behind proposal into action. Too bad it wasn't around when he was in elementary through highschool. Bush and Cheney have no legs to stand on. I can't wait for the VP debate.

I'm sure Bush has good answers prepped for those criticisms already.

As for the VP debate, just watch Edwards get creamed like Lieberman did. Cheney has a lot of experience and knows the details of government. He might look like a grumpy man, but he can easily shut down Edward's sappy stories.

So there were 30 million viewers, coverage from the networks and cable news, and the proof of Kerry's cheating is on the freakin' Zapruder tape?

I base this on knowing that Kerry has no specific plans on anything. Bush is not perfect, and maybe not one of the best presidents we have had and I may not agree with him totally, but he is still a better candidate than Kerry. Bush at least has a plan and he is doing a good job at helping the Iraqis get going. Kerry on the other hand is just trying to appeal to everyone, and says he can fix everything even though he will not say how. Why are all you people so liberal? Why do you all want to elect someone who can't vote on things properly because he gets tired?

*picturing Republicans running around screaming with their hands over their ears*

This has been a weak arguement for along time. Kerry has made his views and plans known. The Republicans just don't want to hear them. It's okay, I live in Utah. I know how sheepish you guys are.

Iraq is currently a fucking joke, and we shouldn't even be there in the first place. Next.

Kerry on the other hand is just trying to appeal to everyone,

And Bush is trying to appeal to everyone through fear. Vote right or we'll get hit by a bigger, badder terrorist attack blah blah blah. I'm tough on terrorism even though homeland security is a joke, and Bin Laden is running free! The world is safer post-Saddam, but terrorism is running rampant in Iraq and the world! Vote Bush, or your children will die!!!!

and says he can fix everything even though he will not say how.

Well, I'll give Kerry the chance to fix the shit Bush has got us in. Bush apparently isn't going to do it, as he can't even admit he has made a single mistake in office.

Why are all you people so liberal?

Why are you so conservative?

And I'm sorry, but being liberal has nothing to do with it. Bush being a total fuckup does.

Why do you all want to elect someone who can't vote on things properly because he gets tired?

Why do want to vote for someone that has accomplished nothing in his 4 years? Our economy is shit, and Iraq is a fucking fraudulent joke.
