It'd help if we could see what Leher was doing at that moment.DarthWoo said:Here's one site talking about the earpiece suspicion. Listen to the audio clip and judge for yourselves.

Diablos said:"Did Kerry cheat during the deabtes." Please. Bush fans must be getting pretty desperate.
I was wondering why Bush was soooo angry at the podium. He saw Kerry reading from the sheet.

Why would any Bush supporter want to talk here? It would be like trying to it at the Democrat National Convention. This place is raging with liberals, not that it's bad or anything. There was a thread asking about who you support, and like several people said Nader. That's not common.
I am an independent, and I like neither candidate right now.
Btw, hasty generalizations make very weak arguments. Though, I'm not saying that other guy's argument was any better.
Kerry has some major explaining to do, as to why he thinks the rules do not apply to him. For all we know, Kerry had a hand held palm computer at his podium.
Cheating in elections is what the 'Rats do. I'm amazed that everyone seems so shocked by it.
This notes business is a minor scandal. Is there anyone out there who does not think that Lehrer gave Kerry a heads up on the questions? The hatred of Bush in the elites is without bound. And Lehrer is a charter member of the elites. Violating the rules of the debate mean nothing to these people as they prosecute their Jihad against the Republican majority in general and G.W. Bush in particular.
I'm sure he did. There is a big difference from violating time constraints, though, and reading from bullet points. Debates are supposed to be spontaneous, Kerry is attempting to cheat the American people by giving the impression he speaks well off the top of his head. he's going to get nailed for this over the airwaves and net. Bad form, Senator.

The arguments are often pointless, but the consequences are anything but.Echoes of Pink said:I can't wait for this election to be over so the american public can go back to caring of less pointless crap. Seriously, even the sharks are better than all this political hoopa la. I never want to hear WMD, flip flop, Swift boat, etc. again.

But keep stacking the hasty generalizations up...

Actually Bush spoke out of turn, which is technically 'cheating'.Cyan said:If Bush had an earpiece, he wouldn't have gotten worked so bad.
Nobody cheated, ok? Is it really that hard to accept that Kerry is just a better debater than Bush? I mean, who isn't?

I didn't find that funny so much as disturbing. One of the most poignant and marked moments of the night.DJ_Tet said:>>to stave off the libs>>
What was damn funny was when Bush asked for a rebuttal, and then stared into the camera motionless for about 10 sec before starting "I....I..."
Socreges said:I didn't find that funny so much as disturbing. One of the most poignant and marked moments of the night.
DJ_Tet said:I'm not talking about that. There was another time well into an hour into the debate where Lehrer asked a related question as a 30 sec rebuttal time, and Kerry jumped in when it wasn't his turn. Kerry didn't take all his time, Bush took all his, and Lehrer asked Kerry another question.
LEHRER: I want to make sure -- yes, sir -- but in this one minute, I want to make sure that we understand -- the people watching understand the differences between the two of you on this.
You want to continue the multinational talks, correct?
BUSH: Right.
LEHRER: And youre willing to do it...
KERRY: Both. I want bilateral talks which put all of the issues, from the armistice of 1952, the economic issues, the human rights issues, the artillery disposal issues, the DMZ issues and the nuclear issues on the table.
LEHRER: And youre opposed to that. Right?
BUSH: The minute we have bilateral talks, the six-party talks will unwind. Thats exactly what Kim Jong Il wants. And by the way, the breach on the agreement was not through plutonium. The breach on the agreement is highly enriched uranium. Thats what we caught him doing. Thats where he was breaking the agreement.
Secondly, he said -- my opponent said where he worked to put sanctions on Iran -- weve already sanctioned Iran. We cant sanction them any more. There are sanctions in place on Iran.
And finally, we were a party to the convention -- to working with Germany, France and Great Britain to send their foreign ministers into Iran.
LEHRER: New question, two minutes.
JoshuaJSlone said:I believe I know when you're talking about. Before going to the 30-second rebuttal, Lehrer asked a short question to both of them. However, Kerry responded in a long-ass enough way that it counted as his extra 30 second segment. Here it is in the transcript. Prior to this is Kerry with his 90 second rebuttal.
I'm sorry that someone you care about is a retard. But shut up.DJ_Tet said:Why are libs so humorless? Sometimes you gotta laugh to keep from crying. Way to avoid to crux of my post btw.
Bush reading a kid's book to keep from crying? Time for us to cry. Bush hemming and hawing at a debate? Time for libs to laugh.
Stop taking everything so seriously. You can bet that your "heros" don't take it as seriously as you guys.
DJ_Tet said:I don't so much as care about him but respect how he handled the country immediately post 9.11. So can you shut up too?
edit---again, why are libs so humorless? Damn people, just shut the fuck up.
