I always wonder why scientists can't just create cells.

If they could find a way to do that, they could avoid the whole stem cell issue.

If they could create stem cells, then there would be no reason for research. Right now we don't entirely understand what stem cells do or how they work - hence the research part of stem cell research. Once we thoroughly understand them and how they work - we'll start trying to find a way to duplicate them or at least their behavior.

Since that isbushwired.com thread was immediately closed for no reason, I thought I'd post this little story here.

Apparently, the Bush aides took enough notice of the rumors to respond. I don't care much for the attitude of the spokesman in just shrugging it off as "ridiculous" and his asinine reference to Elvis. It seems that the more they try to pretend it's not worth a response, the more suspicion they raise.
