Did you get your stimulus money?

Not yet, but when/if I do I'll be rationing it out to pay bills and fix the water heater

it got a mysterious puncture after my slightly autistic little brother (he's just below the threshold to be called entirely autistic, but he's definitely on the spectrum) snuck into the basement to do God knows what and stabbed the water heater at an elbow joint (we still don't know what he did it with)

It's not for lack of trying

Unfortunately my dad undoes all the discipline by coddling, spoiling, and undermining my mom and myself trying to enforce mom's decrees while mom worked most of the time when he was growing up. He's legitimately said not to listen to us and that we're abusive by taking things like video games away for cutting holes in the window screens. 16 years of getting in trouble and having it undone nearly immediately has made for quite a monster. Learned how dangerous enabling bad behavior is from it all.

What's worse is my father's like Alan Harper in 2 and a Half Men, he lives here but doesn't pay into the house (my mom owns it) and hasn't even offered to help pay for the pipe.

Mines currently pending. Saving up for a house so it's going straight into my down payment fund. Not really anything I need or want right now.

Family of 10 here, getting that covid cash. Wife wants a new fridge and stove (both have issues). A bigger dining table (12 seater). The van's backup camera fixed (head unit got fried when my 4 year old stuffed lots of coins in it like a juke box). Bathroom shower needs work.

I'd prefer to use a big chunk toward a new roof I had to put on in the summer. But, I'll probably try to make her happy. Happy wife, happy life.

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
So I take it now that the $600 is out the whole idea of a $2000 check is completely dead in the water?

For those of you getting it through direct deposit, you actually gave the IRS your bank account details?
Not sure that’s the best idea...
For the rest of us, anyone know how long it will take to get a paper check in the mail?

I thought if you make over 75k you don't get it. I'm shocked none of you make over 75k, wtf.
I made like 80k last year but I contribute 19.5k to my 403b so my gross adjusted income was like 60k so I qualify. This year I made 113k but adjusted like 93k.
You get the $600 based on last years income right? Or is it this years?

Last years, but if you make more this year, you will pay it back to the IRS when filing.

Is the relief amount based on Gross Income or AGI?

I’m pretty sure it’s AGI. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
So i will pay back this $600 come filing time you’re saying?

Honestly, not entirely sure. I know that was the term for the first stimulus. I am just now finding out that they changed the income threshold for this round 2. I don't know for certain what else would have changed.

this is what i'm thinking for another stimulus check to come in when biden gets sworn in.

biden comes in on the 90th; he'll have to accept a deal after late march that is proposed by a democratic xongress that is within his '90 day new president' time.

but, a democratic senate is also required for it to pass or else mcconell will stop.

I didn’t qualify this time and I didn’t qualify last time either. I want my bank account to be stimulated too!

Yeah. Kinda amazed I qualified, didn't expect it.

All I did was pay January small bills ahead of time 🤷🏻‍♂️ Was a waste for some one like me but I'll take it.
Covid didn't change my life aside from having some OT when guys had to do two week quarantines cause they feared exposure.

Only balling out I did is spend $30 on a faux persian carpet for my office and $20 for this to put on my wall.
