I will add that I mostly hate Daisuke because he is a total Gary Stu. Which is weird because he has a lot of flaws that are never addressed.
And the BelialVamdemon BS enhances that aspect of him for me. You don't desire anything? Really? What about a noodle cart?

Also can we discuss how TK's adult design is horrible? He got a mullet.
All of their adult designs suck, but he got it the worst. At least some of the others are recognizable.
The best I could find was this, which seems to imply that it comes with that issue, but my Japanese sucks, so I could very well be wrong.

All I know is that if Tai doesn't get the childhood friend this high school series better have like a super hot new digimon trainer who is all over him. My main dawg needs his waifu.

Looks like it's confirmed as real, then. A rare poster, but it definitely existed and was not fan made. I figured it was too good and legit-looking to be fake.
Well he obviously ends up with someone even though they are never shown. I guess most of the kids parents don't mind their fathers/mothers taking them to the Digital World without them. (aka they never bothered to design any spouses for them. Not even TK who was at home before he went to meet the others)
The real question then is, who made it and why? Could have been an artist who made it just for the hell of it without checking in with the producer/director/whoever.

Probably the case. V-Jump probably hired some artist for it just to create a poster for that issue since it was the special V-Tamer crossover special.
I wish they localized V-Tamer in english... I still have all the fan scans of it, but book > scans for me.

I swear to god I remember seeing an english volume of it at a bookstore some years back but I can't find anything about an official translation, so I must just be mis-remembering.
Tokyopop did release the first 3 series of the manhwa, but no one's ever brought out V-Tamer. Looks like Chuang Yi did Frontier, but yeah that's it..

Oh I believe it. I love Harry Potter, but never got deep into the fandom itself online or anything. As for Naruto, well I lost interest in it really early on :x Digimon's been the only fandom I dove right into, and was an interesting time when I made the transition from dub - sub. I just we got more of the manga, games, etc in english :/
Still waiting over a decade for my subbed Digimon DVD/blu ray sets :/
Naruto had shipping wars? Never got into it so I wouldn't know. Harry Potter however, sheesh, that was king of the shipping wars.

So there I was browsing NeoGAF for a Digimon dedicated thread because it's my favourite series of all time and I love monsters that grow into bigger monsters that fight other monsters, and I was glad to find this one, and low and behold it's another GAF thread about waifus and shipping.
Matt+Sora broke my heart man. A02 ruined so many things.

Do we know if the new series is going to work under the constrains of the "25 years later" of Digimon 2, or they are going to declare that part non canon ?

I've said it before but if Tai and Sora don't happen(which is more than likely because 02 is canon) I expect Tai and Mimi.
True. I actually didn't mind Matt, Mimi, Sora and Tai's adult designs because it still resembled them though I would have preferred Tai to keep the crazy hair.

In a recent interview, it was mentioned that the 02 has some hints regards Tri. So its canon to some extent.
Like I said before, I think the main canon thing will be everyone having a partner Digimon and Tri will focus on the trials and tribulations that come with the two worlds coming into contact with each other yet again.
Maybe we'll get an arc that involves an international incident caused by the Digimon? Just a thought.

I hope that doesn't actually happen. It was easily the worst part of 02, and completely rendered the chosen children less special.

Pretty sure they don't since they aren't intended for sale outside Japan.
They were rendered less special the moment the world tour arc happened. Hell even before that with Davis and the others.
Gennai and his friends chose the chosen, yet somehow loads of people became 'chosen' just because they saw random Digimon in Diaboromon/etc.
That said, I'd still be interested in the political issues that contact between the two worlds could pose. The world knows about the Digital World after all, only a matter of time before someone tries to take advantage of that in the real world.

I get what you ate saying Stuart, but I feel they already explored that aspect a little in Tamers, and much more in Savers. So its not a new concept in digimon per say.
The path I feel would be the best is the children (now teens) are somehow involved in the heiarchy of the Digimon world politics. So more chances for RKs and the Olympos 12 to appear, which is the awesome part of the Digimon lore.

Not exactly a new concept but I'd say it's more unique for Adventure since they have had two series of build up with the Digital World being exposed to the real world.
Also it would be a great opportunity for Tai (the future political guy lol) to be a LEADER and handle it. Leads up to this whole epilogue persona assuming they still take him that way.
One thing I don't want is more Royal Knights though.
I wouldn't mind seeing more of the Harmonious ones though besides Azulongmon. (which again, I know Tamers explored a bit but we haven't seen the other ones in the Adventure Universe tbf)
