Pretty good conclusion, I guess this was a good start to the digimon anime and kind of cant wait for the next season to release March. Story could have been a tad bit better or olderish focused in terms of characters but over all pretty cool. Best ones were TK (cant wait for older TK) with the best digimon path of Patoman and that epic evolution
. Matt and Tai were also good, prefer Matt a bit more as I liked his story and background and wanting to protect everyone and TK too, actually best for him was
. I thought weakness were just the overall way for how the enemies were and just the whole second half not really caring much about them. I hope in the future we have human antagonists? Just for human v human things, and the music wasnt all that good. 6.

Magna angemon needed to be shown way more way better than Wargreymon
when he awakens from his dark side and rushes in and he and Tai have that heartfelt friendship moment to yield, the crest of friendship completely recovering Wargreymon

Nicktoons is Nickelodeon's less popular sister network. It was originally started as a dumping ground for reruns of original Nickelodeon cartoons, which were called Nicktoons ... Much more recently the network has sort of been positioned as a rival to Cartoon Network while Nickelodeon tackles Disney Channel. It tends to air a lot of action animation, and stuff that were booted off the main networks. Dragon Ball Kai, Monsuno, Voltron Force, Speed Racer: The Next Generation, Power Rangers reruns and a bunch of other stuff air there.
Digimon Fusion will air on Nickelodeon proper. I dunno if they're the best network given the shenanigans they pull with their shows ("Hey, why don't we air these 13 new episodes over 3 years?") but for exposure it's definitely the best.
All the Dark Masters did, tbh. Except Puppetmon.
MetalSeadramon's death was cool at least. Wargreymon tore into his ass. I was so hype watching that.

Piedmon deserved better than just being pushed into MagnaAngemon Win Portal. I will retract my statement on the other Masters based on Wargreymon being a badass.
On that note, Wargreymon > MetalGarurumon all day. Man, MetalGarurumon was lame.

Well I never watched the English dub, but Guilmon was great. Cool when fighting, cute when not. Not easy to pull off.
And Frontier has the same problem as Digimon 02, cool designs, terrible characters. At least Frontier didn't make its only interesting villains show up in just one episode and the human characters while terrible weren't as fuck annoying as 02's. But the designs were cool. Except that third form only the main two got. Fuck that one looked ridiculous. The one that was a mix-max of the first two.
I was partial to Aldamon and Korikakumon. Kazemon was cool too.
Guilmon is the best starter. Period. He's part of the best season too, but I'd rather not get into that argument Puppetmon's death was my favorite. His episode was the second best just before the Tai and Max fight episode.
Edit: Saberleomon deserves a shoutout as an awesome mega.

Power-levels? Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode technically trumps all because all of them are part of Shoutmon.

See, I have no idea what those are but just from the name I know X7 is awful. And why would anyone be talking about how strong they are, the power of everyone changes in every season. It's merely about looks and in that, Gallantmon is unmatched.
I never like any of the imperialdramon forms. It just looked too bulky to me. I never finished Savers, but Rise/Shinegreymon kind of make me want to.

It's the colors really. Superior Mode fixes it. It actually looks like a final form of a super robot which is awesome.
Gallantmon is stupid because it looks like a twig with a shield. Omegamon is much better.

I'm still kinda annoyed on the progression from WereGarurumon to MetalGarurumon.
Imperialdramon DM looks beastly, FM not so much but its still good, its just the Positron Canon on his right arm seemed imbalanced.
Imperialdramon PM looks freaking majestic (with its more royal/holy colour change), not to mention his Omniblade (basically Omnimon's power/design in sword form) makes it look powerful.
He does seem to more like a suit of armor rather than a digimon wearing armour, but his Crimson Mode is pretty kickass.

Yeah, seems like a copout when it came to progression.
Gaurumon -> WereGarurumon (now with a humanoid form!) -> MetalGarurumon (Garurumon with armor... -_- )
It reminded of Lost Evolution where its other progression is the same way.

Season 2 just gets worse and worse every time I try to rewatch it. I didn't even finish it the last time. Cody and Yolei are just so fucking annoying.

I'm not really a Digimon fan, but I loved this season. I was really happy a friend recommended it.
That's interesting because I feel the exact opposite. I felt like the beginning of S2 dragged on forEVER. In fact I feel like the whole thing kind of does. It feels like the whole season builds up to this big climax that ultimately never comes.

Honestly Frontier would have been a really good season had they not made Kyouji and that other kid the only ones getting powerups.
Now before someone says "isn't that how Xros Wars worked?", people forget that right off the bat, Xros Wars is a mecha-esque show with mecha conventions and hell, even some Sentai stuff to boot. Right off the bat we all know the combination will result in Shoutmon X~. This is not the case with Frontier.
As much as I nag on Tamers saying 02 is better than it is laughable!
S2 is only good for the emperor arc. The rest is pure hash.

In addition to Tamers, he's also handled the series composition and a good number of scripts for Shadow Star Narutaru (aka kids using digimon-like creatures to kill each other), Serial Experiments Lain, Hellsing, Giant Robo, Go Nagai's The Devil Lady, Texhnolyze, Ghost Hound, The Big O and a handful of others.
Dark & fucked up anime series are his specialty.

Well, I am still in the first arc. Maybe my opinion will change after I've seen it all, I found the first parts of S1 to drag a lot. I can't fully remember a lot of it, I am re-watching now because I picked up the Madman DVD's.

Digimon 02 is "let's throw shit to a wall and see what sticks" The best villain was Demon, who appeared for a grand total of one episode. And they completely ignore the Cthulhu thing, too.
Doesn't help that the only good characters are Ken, TK and Kari somewhat. Davis is Tai with none of the good and I swear they wanted to make Yolei and Cody unlikable. And what's up with the whole "not killing" bullshit?
At least the music was cool. And most Digimon.

I dunno, Giant Robo was pretty meh (but I guess because the live action is pretty dear to me), season to TBO was subpar compared to the superior season 1, and Hellsing was... Hellsing.
