Sony and Microsoft have been doing it for years, DF is a very good outlet if you feel your hardware is worth talking about. This is by far the worst DF video ever. Heck, there's nothing from DF even it it. It's just the Nintendo promo uploaded in 4K. Very interesting to see Nintendo and DF working together.
WTF.
Unless you sold your copy you don't need to rebuy it just to be clear, it's a $10 upgrade if you don't have NSO.I'm not gonna rebuy them as I played both for many hours and had a blast....but not gonna lie it sure would be nice to own both these games in 4k 60fps with all the DLC.
I do wish Nintendo would offer a bundle on these or something, but I understand. I suppose I will definitely be going any upgrade paths that are offered at a reasonable price.
When i said that DF some seriously questionable relationships with devs and console manufacturers, it ruffled the feathers of some. The simple truth is that DF has now evolved from a tech channel to an ad arm for developers and console manufacturers. They get exclusive content from Nvidia, Microsoft, Sony, now Nintendo. They often hold developer interviews to coincide with game releases. I'm not going to question the quality of their work because it's fantastic. However, they should never be used as reference source for anything. They have compromising relationships with the creators of the products they review.
Gamers Nexus collects objective data. Digital Foundry also collects objective data. The difference is that Gamers Nexus stays in the pocket and discusses the objective data. Digital Foundry speculates, extrapolates, and invents things that their data cannot support.so I assume you'd say the same about Gamers Nexus then right? never trust their GPU reviews because they had people from Intel on multiple times to show the architecture of the Arc GPUs
can't trust their benchmarks anymore guys, they interviewed the intel dudes!
how does having interviews in any way make it so objective data "should never be used as reference source for anything"?
I doubt the criminal class count for any more than 1/1000 of the market.Game looks amazing in 4k, but some people on PC already enjoyed it in that quality. This would be so much bigger if Yuzu and Ryjinx didn't exist.
That's probably less than 1% of BoTW/ToTK players. Maybe in gaming forums doesn't have a big impact in the real world… Totally.Game looks amazing in 4k, but some people on PC already enjoyed it in that quality. This would be so much bigger if Yuzu and Ryjinx didn't exist.
Most people don't pirate like this, including people who could like myself.Game looks amazing in 4k, but some people on PC already enjoyed it in that quality. This would be so much bigger if Yuzu and Ryjinx didn't exist.

Nintendo is going to show to the world that DF is a group of bitchesLooks like Nintendo has finally gone on the offensive and started hacking others.

The tone of digital foundry has shifted over the years from "matter of fact" to "dear diary" and I'm certainly not a fan of it. The switch hasn't released and they're already speculating about a cpu bottleneck problem. They did the same thing with the ps5/series x claiming that there was a cpu bottleneck problem. However if the vast majority of games don't have issues, how can there be a general cpu bottleneck problem? They took the same approach with hardware vrs and that was a bunch of nonsense. Now combine that with the fact that DF refrains from taking a critical approach with creators they have relationships with to avoid affecting those relationships. It becomes entirely suspect.
Like I said, Digital Foundry speculates, extrapolates, and invents things that their data cannot support.
And this is saying something. This is by far the worst DF video ever.
Accurate. I preferred Digital Foundry when they just focused on the benchmarks and provided technical analysis, but their operation has slowly morphed into providing opinion and speculation first and foremost. Objective benchmarks are now only a small part of what they do. Most of their content is rambling about the week's gaming news or schmoozing with companies and developers that they have a friendly relationship with, which I absolutely do think has affected their judgement. Rich can barely even bring himself to criticize things like Nvidia's pricing these days, because that might affect their exclusive access.Gamers Nexus collects objective data. OK, this is the first time they got me thinking "suspect"
Seems odd, I don't remember them putting out a video where none of them are speaking.
