Star Wars fans are nearing Sonic fans level of awful in my eyes.

Also, we've had Vader throwing out first pitches at baseball games across MLB ballparks but having him appear on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is somehow crossing a line?

L....O....fucking....L

Yes so bad, those evil charitable fans helping people out and building a house. But lets focus on the crazy guy writing a stupid uninformed article.

Huh? I'm all for the charitable star wars fans, it just so happens to be that most fans I encounter are more in line with the author of this article. Their always screaming about some guy or company raping their childhood or something.

The Starwars nerds crying over Disney buying Lucasarts are about twenty times worse than the Marvel nerds that were crying about Disney buying them. I'm one of those Marvel nerds and everything worked out tons better than anyone would have expected.

Same shit happens that happened before?

"Oh sweet lord! This is what we all thought would happen! Mah Franchise!"

Articles like this make me roll my eyes so hard they are about to fall out of my skull. Starwars will be fine. Disney has a strong incentive to keep their franchises strong, the Muppets and Marvel are good indication that Starwars is in good hands.

From most Star Wars fans reactions I've seen, the buy out by Disney is being looked at as a positive, with alot of excitement about new movies. But again folks like to focus on the vocal minority who are loud and make a spectacle of themselves like the writer of this article. All the major fan groups online were full of excitement at the buyout announcement .

What an idiotic article. Fortunately the commenters called out that the 501st is a volunteer group and that even if this WERE corporate use of the franchise, it's a pretty good one.

Not sure, but usually the actual value on the home usually increases after the renovations. Thus higher property taxes, utilities, insurance, etc. I don't know if the homeowner has to trigger that by getting it re-appraised or if it is automatic, but it makes sense.
Generally, most jurisdictions with property taxes re-appraise annually via an appraisal district and will take into account any improvements made upon the property, along with market considerations, etc.

A brand new house in place of a dilapidated piece of shit is an obvious improvement... as are pools, jacuzzis, and the like. Basically, anything they can see from the street, via aerial survey/satellite, or from being perverts and peeking through/over the fence (and, yes, they do that, and no they shouldn't, but you're caught out either way).

OMG DEY RAPEING MAH CHILDHEWD BRB MAKING A 9GAG IF U WERE BORN BEFORE DISNEY BOUGHT STAR WARS U R AWESOME BARNEY STILSON TRUE STORY IF U KNOW WHAT I MEAN

I used to think that Trekkies were bad, but now I'm starting to like them more compared to Star Wars hardcore guys, egh.

Are people forgetting how whored to death this franchise has always been or did they have some idiotic thinking that Disney the king of merch and the likes wouldn't keep it up?

That's the first time I've seen a real life clone trooper. There were none in the prequels, all CG. Disney > Lucas
