Just about to start this, anyone got any useful tips for me? It's my very first time playing a Divinity game.
A small but good tip, buy or steal a Bedroll so you can heal after every battle.

Oh I know I can respec into anything, running three wizards and a tank. Current setup is Poly-Necro Summoner, multi-elemental mage, utility mage and mage-strength tank.you can respec any party member into whatever you want for free, just pick them based on their personality
just read the quest log, it says where the next step is located for all quests.Asking again for a new page.
I'm towards the end of the island of Act 1 just exploring a few things before I go getGareth
I took Sebille to seeZaleskar
Is there anything else I need to do with regards to HER quest line before I leave the island. Is the next part in Act 2?
Thanks. A little bummed, but it's good you can zoom so close. You can zoom the camera in, but it's more for inspecting terrain or characters, not so much adventuring. You can't get a behind-the-back view like in the Witcher or Dragon Age or anything.

thats act 2 area.I already have. It saysBut i don't know wether that's where I am. (I don't think so)Reapers coast
You want to put as much into pickpocketing as you can, it will be the main civil skill for your thief of choice.
The higher your pickpocket the higher the gold and weight value of the things you can steal are. Also some characters have minimums on them for skill before you can take anything.
with 6 or 7 levels in pickpocket you can take upwards of almost 10k gold
thats act 2 area.
Is there a big town in this game similar to the one in the first game?
I've been looking for a game to sink my teeth into, and this is sounding really good. Never played Divinity though, so will need to read up and watch videos etc. How does this game play? Would you recommend it to someone who will be mostly playing solo?
I think most of us are playing solo. I'm playing with a created main character and 3 of the 'origin' companions (remade characters with story and extra quests and dialogue).
Game does a wonderful job of making you feel like a party with different motivations and responses travelling together.
Like, I don't feel 'alone' playing solo one bit. This isn't for lack of friends playing the game. I just like to explore at my own pace and think about how my companions feel.
Having said that, people who are playing co-op seem to be having a blast. I'll give it a go after or try some online dungeon master stuff.
Overall, game is fucking great. Like bafflingly good. Give Larian all of your money. Has made me completely drop Destiny. Was mid-raid when that dropped and haven't really gone bak. As someone who played like 500 hours of the first Destiny. It doesn't consume my attention and imagination in the way DOS:II does.
Just headed into Act 2 and a bunch of quests which I'm pretty sure were tied up apparently weren't. E.g, my quest log now says I didn't, but I certainly did. Common bug?saving the pigs or saving Slane
NoFirst big area is a town but it's much easier to get through than the one in the first game imo. Also, writing, as others have pointed out, is much much better this time around.
I'm really glad I gave the game another shot, I couldn't stomach the first but this one is superb.
I'm pretty sure theone isn't done just bypig, there's more after thatsaving the pigs
I have a Surface Pro 4 i5, can I play this?
My Red Prince never failed a dialogue check since the first act. He has 4 points in persuasion and 14 wits. I mostly go with strength or wits.
I'm roughly at the same point as you. It's only a room with books and stuff upstairs which you can safely lockpick anyway (it's not a red door).

Which skill tree combo well with scoundrel? Ifan doesn't do as much damage as my 2-handed warrior or my crossbow hunter.

Also a mod that decreases tactician difficulty enemy bonuses by some amount. Good mod if you are like me and think that the armor bonuses that enemies eventually get in tactician are just really silly. Haven't installed any of these myself though. Gonna save mods for second playthrough.
In other news. Tier 10 incarnate blood summon is just bonkers strong.
So gud.
In the tooltip of that spell it says it gets a strong replacement at level 10I keep seeing the number 10 thrown around when it comes to summoning, does something magical happen when you reach it? Because the increase in power from 5 to 8 for example is barely noticeable.

So i have like 15 quests in Fort Joy but can't go anywhere else without escaping the place. Am i missing something or are these quests to be completed outside the place?
Pls bois
I'm surprised they left the possibility to do things that will contradict your journal. Like I pickpocketed someone important, stole his journal, and by reading it it added a chapter to a quest where it says that maybe I shouldn't have killed him, lol.
I haven't done that yet. Wasn't even sure I'll have to do it. Thanks Larian! I had another example but can't remember right now
But seriously that's a mistake they shouldn't be making.
What's the right way to use chameleon? I used it yesterday in a fight and the dude just turn around and him me. Do you need to move after it for it to have effect?
