I'd argue best mobility spell is the wings of polymorph. It's fantastic as a rogue as I can combine it with other mobility spells and just jump around the level backstabbing people.
Imo wings is one of the worst mobility skill. It's just one that requires investment in a good "work with everything" skill, but it's pretty bad. It costs 2AP to use on the turn you initially use it(the most important turn) and the passive effect of floating is terrible(because it only works when running around, if it was like the D:OS1 Levitate, it'd be a lot better).
The other 3 similar ones(long distance movement) are generally better. Tactical Retreat is the best, it's 1AP and cast Haste on you for 1 turn, meaning it gives you 1AP back the turn after. Phoenix Dive is also 1AP and does fire around you, which is usually good but can be a bit crappy sometimes, still it's 1AP. Cloak and Dagger is probably the worst of the 3 but it's still 1AP, the fact it doesn't break stealth isn't great in combat, but it's pretty useful for pre combat shenanigans.
Now wings lasts for 3turns so it's pretty nice, but I prefer having 2memory slots on 2 of the 1AP jumps, than have wings, because moving for 1AP is just a lot more efficient. You don't need to move THAT often, and with The Pawn you can move around a bit anyway. The movement skills will usually cool down by the time I need them again. And obviously paying only 1AP versys paying 2AP is a huge difference with how little AP you get to play with.
I also use Blitz/Battering Ram on my warrior for their damage/utility, and Backlash on my Rogue for damage/utility(only 1AP move+pretty high damage, although the range is garbage), and they both have The Pawn for small adjustments.
Can someone explain Netherswap? Is it bugged or is the text wrong? It says "Switch two characters position, one of the characters CAN be you". And yet every time I try to swap my caster with another PC, it gives me some error message. Am I just getting unlucky with the finicky terrain or am I not understanding this?
It uses weird collision detection, but basically you can't Netherswap if you're hitting a target that's on the "edge" of anything I think. So quite often it doesn't work the way you want it to work. It's nice when it works though.
