I fucking swear, there are articles that used to be on the internet, the www, that I can no longer find. not on Google, Yahoo, Altavista, etc. not even http://www.archive.org/web/web.php seems to be able to help.

I was looking for an article on Nintendo, I think it was called "Swimming With Dolphins" that was on Vortexgaming.net and I cannot find it. many other examples of things that are just.... fucking gone... is it because they've been taken offline? help me understand this.... it's so godamn frustrating.

Well, it will only end up at archive.org if it was popular enough... and if it IS there you'd have to know the URL pretty precisely to find it. I presume it works similarly to Google, with things being linked to more often getting higher priority, so sometimes there will be main pages archived, while most of the real content is missing.
