You know-small nitpick I just realized...Brian should have already known about The Doctor and the TARDIS considering how the Doctor materialized at AmyRory's wedding.
it really makes me hope that at some point they'll mash the two together for Comic Relief or something. I'd like to see The Doctor aboard RD, even though they're older now.
With Red Dwarf's new series set to start on Dave in the next few months
He killed someone in his very first appearance.
Amy's "I'm a queen" and "I can't deal with flirting companions" were great. I'm really looking forward to next weeks episode, as a kid Red Dwarf's western 4 horseman episode was always one of my favourites so I'm hoping modern British sci-fi can live up to it.
Wait what? Not again. :/

Well he did have his trowel in case shit went downYeah, for suddenly getting zapped into a spaceship filled with dinosaurs, Rory's dad was pretty calm and collected. Guess it runs in the family.

Okay... someone may have answered this already, but a friend brought it up and now I'm confused...
In Asylum of the Daleks, how the fuck are they on Skaro? Shouldn't it still be in the time lock?
Fixed.(I wish)
Was it just me or was that Ben Browder in next week's preview?
I was wondering at the beginning of the episode if someone else played Rory's dad at the wedding as an extra. Anyone got a screenshot?
He did vaguely remind me of Arthur Dent actually.
Between the Paranoid Androids (quite frankly those could've been from the Sirius Cybernetics Company) and Brian Williams, it all felt very hitch-hikery.
That's him.
Walder Frey and the groundskeeper in the Harry Potter movies.I loved it.
And I knew I had seen that guy somewhere, is it really Walder Frey?
Also, it seems that the Doctor has been wiped from everyone's memory, so it sorta makes sense that Rorys dad wouldn't know who he was.
I couldn't stop laughing at "I'm not a Pond!". Lulz.
True, but if we believe the suggested canon this took place almost literally right after he regenerated from 8->9 and after he had just killed off all of the other Timelords recently before regenerating. He was pretty pissed and not in control.

Wrong Doctor.
Anyways I don't think the Doctor killing someone is out of character per-se, but he did seem more cavalier about it than usual. The aforementioned kill in the Tenth doctor's first show was accompanied with some degree of anger at least, and other times he's seemed to need to wrestle with his conscience a bit. Or he's had a companion (namely Rose in Dalek or Amy in Beast Below to name a couple from the new run) pull him back from outright murder.
The guy did commit genocide for pure profit. That fact was perhaps too far removed from the act to be clear though.
This is the same Doctor that destroyed Dalek and Cybermen armada just to get information, ordered the genocide of the Silence, and didn't care too much when an Ood gets vaporized. While it might have been big news if it was Ten, it didn't seem too out of place with Eleven. With the exception of A Good Man Goes To War, Eleven doesn't seems as infatuated with the sanctity of life and the limitless potential of humanity.
Solomon was a prick, I cheered when the Doctor left him stranded on his ship. He brought it on himself.
Liked the guest actors in this one. Lestrade and Nefertiti were pretty good Companions (ha, bonus points for them hooking up). Out back West for the next episode, huh?
doesn't stop him materialising the tardis around them (I didn't even know he could do that) and then whisking them off though
I think he's having serious thoughts about the mortality of his companions and the danger he puts them through

Heh. Must've been out with Mel.MDavis360 said:You know-small nitpick I just realized...Brian should have already known about The Doctor and the TARDIS considering how the Doctor materialized at AmyRory's wedding.
If Amy died I think there'd be riots.
Considering how everyone has said her departure is a massive tearjerker, you better board up your windows.
Yeah, it would definitely make for a dramatic exit. Not sure if they've ever "killed off" a companion before.![]()
All this talk about the doctor killing soloman is interesting.
We have seen moments of vengeance and cold bloodiness from the doctor sporadicly since he returned.
Makes you wonder how far are we from a Valeyard appearance. Said to be around the time of the doctors 12th incarnation he is all that was evil manifested.
The Dream Lord could of been the precursor to this.

I imagine he got tired of the hate comments.
Hate comments suck, but I was fairly tired of him being a huge cocktease with Sherlock/Doctor Who plot points. No huge loss.
