Donald Trump on Tuesday appeared to back off his demands to defund Planned Parenthood.

After saying last week it&#8217;s worth having Congress shut down the federal government unless Planned Parenthood is stripped of its $528 million in government funding, the Republican presidential candidate changed his tune.

Speaking on CNN&#8217;s &#8220;New Day&#8221; Tuesday morning, Trump said that before defunding Planned Parenthood entirely, he would look at the positive aspects of the organization.

&#8220;I would look at the good aspects of it, and I would also look because I&#8217;m sure they do some things properly and good for women. I would look at that, and I would look at other aspects also, but we have to take care of women,&#8221; he said. &#8220;The abortion aspect of Planned Parenthood should absolutely not be funded.&#8221;

However, under current law, no government funding is allowed to go to abortions, which Planned Parenthood says make up 3 percent of its services.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump suggested on Tuesday that he would physically stop Black Lives Matter activists who attempted to protest his campaign events, The Hill reported.

“That will never happen with me,” he said at the end of a press conference in Birch Run, Michigan. “I don’t know if I’ll do the fighting myself, or if other people will, but that was a disgrace.”

The real estate mogul argued that Democratic candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders showed “weakness” when he allowed two women identifying themselves as part of the movement to interrupt him during an appearance at a rally in Seattle over the weekend. Sanders opted to leave the stage when the two women insisted on shutting the event down.

“I would never give up my microphone. I thought that was disgusting,” Trump said, adding, “I felt badly for him, but it showed that he’s weak. You know what? Planned Parenthood: Don't defund. Abortion is only small part of what they do. Get rid of abortion stuff. Get the money related to abortion to go to other stuff that helps women. Serves a good purpose other than abortions.
