Please cast her next.

Hollywood is just going to whitewash her role.

Special ID was that as others have said but I'm always down for a good film in this genre. Hoping pork buns are also a significant part of the film.

Part of Wei Chen's deal is that he's a young cop who just came back to Hong Kong...

Why even call this Sleeping Dogs if you're just going to change the entire premise?

Too old, and not American.

We need a young Asian American in the role. Have Donnie Yen play a mentor or something.

I will do everything in my power to ensure pork buns are fully and adequatelly represented in this movie.

It's really conflicting. Wei Shen's a video game character, so, naturally, he's a martial arts god. Which lines up well with Donnie Yen.

But you literally couldn't ask for a better role to go out and look for a Chinese American actor, or at least an Asian American one. So naturally, they give it to the foreign born superstar.

A movie? Those clowns at square Enix can't give us another game but they're willing to venture into a film adaptation

Thats cool I guess but I need that sequel already

It would be cool if they could get Will Yun Lee to play Wei Shen. I would rather have an Asian American play Wei since coming back from the States is part of his character.

Because accurate 1/1 translations of game to movie stories have worked out *so* well in the past. Have some faith. We know what we're doing.

Her mission was pretty lame tho.
The other girl's mission was more fun.

I assume they're not spending shit on it? Honestly the plot of Sleeping Dogs is so classic and by the numbers, that this feels even more pointless than a Last of Us movie, but hey, i'll take more action Hong Kong cinema.
