Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, you can deny other heroes?! I had no idea!
Yep.
Only reason i knew this is because some guy denied Moonmeanders immortal in HoN during a Stream. (he was 14-0, and was going to survive)

Effects that put a single target DoT on an allied unit make the unit deniable, so for example all 3 of Venomancer Poisons, Doom, Queen of Pain Dagger, Dazzle Poison Touch.Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, you can deny other heroes?! I had no idea!

Must be confusing me for Conceptor.
Conceptor hates LoL?
This is news.
What the hell? LOL. I haven't even played enough of LoL (one game) to decide whether I like it or not loool. Enough with these lies Bo. OC doesn't play LoL, afaik. He bashes it on Steam, away from prying eyes. Such is the workings of the brotherhood.
Need the full transition of HoN-Gaf before the salt mines can go into production, and expect Death Prophet this week.
Someone will say Invoker, but their wrong
Also I made these Avatars, feel free to use them if you want, Traxxex / Windrunner, Botolf feel free to replace yourDrow.crappy

Husker is super old though, he's just gotten some (much needed) buffs so that he can actually kill people. Before, as you should know since you've played Dota in its infancy, his ultimate didn't even have a charge on it. You had to walk up to people to even use it, so he was completely obliterated before he got his blink dagger. Now he's actually playable. The heroes you're going to see get in last are no doubt the newest heroes and hero remakes -- Treant, Tuskar, Phoenix, Rubick, Pit Lord, Wisp, Disruptor, and a few others.

Actually I'm not. 175 KB lolwhat.
Really digging Nature's Prophet. Not much in the way of damage, but dear god the ganks can't possibly be easier. And free fast travel!
But the game before that, oh man. In the picking phase, we had an SS and a Spectre. I picked Dazzle to support Spectre. I told the other two in chat if they could lane top and pick accordingly.
They picked Dark Seer and Lifestealer, who then proceeded to both farm our bot jungle, forcing me top by myself against a Leshrac/SK combo. Both never spoke even though I suggested that Dark Seer farm in the enemy jungle. Were probably Russian too. FML.
I think I left before I hit level 2.
One of those I see.
I know right. I should have just stayed in the game, die three times before the first tower is down, only to snowball into our inevitable defeat 45 minutes down the road with me being the sole supporter in a team full with non-communicating, sellfishly picking Russians.

You quit before even one creep wave was killed, which is usually at the 1:00-1:30 mark of the game when at the long lane, while solo. If your team was full of Russians, then you were the minority. Did you expect them to all speak English just for you?
Do you have friends that play Dota? I guess try playing exclusively with people you know for a while. But honestly, unless your friends all think exactly like you, you're all going to get stressed out in half the games you play. Dota games require a 45 minute commitment at minimum, regardless of how poor the hero picks and lane combinations seem. In that same vein, I'd suggest not playing with anyone else on GAF as well, because that mindset is not compatible with newer players and will only get you into some terribly salty situations with the hardcore veterans.
Dota games have always been about the time commitment: You bet on hero picks/randoms, item builds, skill choices, strategies, etc. and you ALWAYS play it to the finish. Chinese, Russian, Brazilian or whoever you are playing with, they all know this and consider people that quit as early as you did as the ultimate BM, even worse than the lich that didn't buy wards or mek. Millions of dota players play in netcafes where they purchase time in hour increments, having one person leave will automatically ruin one hour for them, since they would now have to pay for another hour of time. When you left them 4v5, they probably still tried to at least give the other team a good fight before calling it quits.
By even posting this in the GAF thread, you've practically assured that a lot of people will decide to never play with you. Grats :|
Them 'trying to get a good teamfight going' is just wishful thinking at this point. Again, if you fuck over a team by picking two jungle heroes, farming the same jungle and not communication whatsoever, you're not playing for anything but yourselves. That resolves me from any commitment to the team, since there is none. It sucks that Spectre and SS have to sit in the queue for a few minutes, but at least they were spared a 45 minute domination that is only fun for the dominating team. In fact, me leaving early made it possible for them to leave as well without any harm done.
Look, after 3 years of DOTA 1 and 3 years of HoN, I can tell pretty well when a game is lost and when there's chances of a come back. Some games are lost at the picking phase, while others boil down to teamfights at Roshan. If leaving a game makes me a selfish jack-ass, so be it. I'd rather start another game and have a proper good time then just frustrate myself for threequarters of an hour.
Alot of those WIP icons were found when the client was datamined several months ago. Looks like Invoker is coming out this week!![]()
Super old? Hardly. What like a year, two at the most. Been playing this map for about eight years now. Hell, even BM is kinda newish to me. SA, now, that's an old-ass hero. And he's actually less cheap now than he used to be. Used have death ward like WD, and Jakiro is a revisit from the original. He/she used to have shackle like Rhasta. Those are "super old."
For me, Dazzle, Kunkka, Huskar, Slark -- these are all pretty new heroes.

So if you have double jungle and lose one lane completely that means your team automatically loses? What if your teammates are double/triple stacking creep pulls in jungle and outleveling and outfarming any single lane? Breakdowns in communication happen in almost all games to varying degrees, even with friends and organized teams. Just because 2 people on your team have a different playstyle you're suddenly justified in leaving?
So in HON, what's your leaver percentage? Or do you pay to have it reset regularly? 6 years of play and you still automatically think your game is lost? Guess what, 4 out of your 5 teammates didn't disconnect. Only you did. If there was a concede option you might have been the only one pressing concede. Did you ask someone to ghost-spec the stream so that you could have the actual gold/exp difference and could make an educated decision based on actually knowing the GPM for everyone? Did you perhaps try to consider adapting to help your jungle lane succeed? 4-1-0 lanes can beat 2-1-2 lanes even if the solo decides to teleport to the strong lane late.
Anyone want to give me a crash course on Chen? He is the number one hero I want to learn, but I know I will be a liability because I can't play him. As far as I know: max persuasion ASAP, build mana boots and mek as core and....???
Dammit... The thread title change... I'll just go and hide in a corner for a few days
I love the title change
Not sure if it's because all the stats are hidden (MMR etc.) or because it's a beta that's going to get wiped, but I have much more confidence in playing carries than I do in HoN.
Lol I might've saved it in the wrong format sorry.Actually I'm not. 175 KB lolwhat.
He's similar to other jungle heroes that can take control of creeps in that he has to put pressure on the lane early if you get the right creeps ( Dark Troll Warlord / Minotaur ) are perfect for ganking and all the other creeps with offensive damage abilities can be used to annoy, you need to do a successful gank when you have about 3-4 creeps persuaded then push the tower, Vulture lords are good for this because of the Tornado ability they have which can damage creeps.Anyone want to give me a crash course on Chen? Need to stop randomingDina, after rereading my posts, im sorry for my combative language. Im just still salty myself from recnt bad dota matches so and it definitely colored my posts negatively. I apologize for my bad posts

Centaur stun is kinda hard to use, it doesn't have the huge melee stun range that Slardar's stun has, so it's easy to outrun unless the target is disabled by someone else so it can catch up.Using the Trolls with the net or the Centaur stuns properly can be difficult if you aren't experienced in more conventional RTS mechanics. I've also heard that it's clunky in Dota 2, but I don't know since I haven't played him.
