Very interesting game also because mTw has to win in 36:08 or faster to advance. They are really pushing it.
Weird. Didn't know it came down to time for tiebreakers.

Must be some terrible pubstars then
holy shit, vigoss is apparently playing with TR

Search Player: "kagete" Hero: "viper" in the Watch filter for the GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME.
as long as i get to play pudge i'm happy
Are there any replays where you had a particularly good game as pudge? I want to see what all the hype is about.
Man, my friends said shadowfiend was pretty easy. All you do is hit q,w,r and people die.
shadowfiend
My guess: A weaver user her beetles, one attached to you, while you were walking by your tower, the tower attacked the beetle, not you.I'm trying to go watch the replay, but it seems all my replays are unavailable. Is there some other way I can watch it?
I am afraid that some of the DOTA standards will remain in this game when in reality they were in DOTA only because of the system's limitations. I just don't want them to be afraid to change something for the better... rather than keep it because it's a traditional DOTA thing. Bold choices are a good idea.
Icefrog said:Significant changes would not necessarily make it a better game. There are countless features we are building around the game that will make the experience a much better one. The gameplay itself, though, has always evolved step by step, and it will continue with that methodology. We consider this a long term project, in the same way DotA has always been. We want to provide a quality experience and not just change for the sake of change. Youll naturally see additions and improvements to the game as time passes, but it would be a natural progression aimed at improving the game for the players and not for other arbitrary reasons. Valve and I strongly believe that the player focused development process the game has gone through is what will allow us to continue making the best decisions with regards to where we spend our development time.

Just sayin.
The implications of this are changes along the lines of what Riot did with League of Legends.I just don't want them to be afraid to change something for the better... rather than keep it because it's a traditional DOTA thing. Bold choices are a good idea.
Fuck I must be the worst player alive, I hit Q W R and I can't kill anything, why am I so bad, teach me how to play Bokr.Man, my friends said shadowfiend was pretty easy. All you do is hit q,w,r and people die.
Was that you earlier? Don't worry about it. We had a bad team in terms of hero picks to begin with and they took advantage of it. Doesn't help that Faceless Void had an easy time mid lolSorry for lame game as Puck, guyz. I don't know, just keep sucking today in all the holes possible.

Just got a beta invite and I was really looking forward to getting my hands dirty but I'm having some problems getting it to run. When I start it up it launches and I can hear the music but there is no picture (I'm still at my desktop with the Dota icon in the bottom tray). Even further when I try to tab around and re-enter the program the screen will flash like it is moving into the program but then it will kick me out to the desktop again but this time there is a small black rectangle at the top left.
Was just wondering if this sounds like something anyone else has encountered before I go scouring the internets and sending troubleshooting emails to valve.
Thx in advance =)
Messing around in practice with bots trying to get the hang of Pudge. I'm using Sebulon's builds. I have one question about Pudge's, why is both the bottle and those other items up there under starting items? Are you supposed to choose bottle only or all that other stuff?
idk but bottle is a must. magic wand too, if you want.
He explains it here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=33472112&postcount=3716Messing around in practice with bots trying to get the hang of Pudge. I'm using Sebulon's builds. Should you really buy bottle right off the bat though? That doesn't leave you money for anything else.
While I'm in favor of innovation in general, DOTA has enough variety to last me a long time, and I don't think hero design has stagnated. Quite the opposite, I feel like IceFrog has been making an effort to create more unique and interesting champions with mechanics that aren't just copy-pastas of preexisting ones.
DOTA is a game with an international following and a highly competitive scene. When you're in such a situation, it doesn't make sense to branch out just for the sake of branching out. It would be like Blizzard making SC2 from the ground up, rather than expanding and streamlining what they did with SC:BW.
Someone explain some Axe jungling to me? How do i 'stack' camps? I tried watching some videos and i dont really get it. I have manged to do it acouple times but i think it was by accident.
