The only game I've had people cry about KS was HoN, and it didn't help S2 prominently displayed KDR as the most important stat.

I'm pretty much exclusively playing solo off-lane these days since in pubs everyone immediately b-lines it to the safe lane. I don't mind it, but I'm typically playing a support character on top of it.

Trying to figure out what some good off-lane supports would be...my standard go-tos in these situations are Dark Seer and Windrunner, but I feel like I need more than these two to handle different team make-ups.

Any suggestions?

Elder Titan
Beastmaster
Tree
Bounty Hunter

All decent offlaners that don't require a ton of farm and can transition to support/utility roles later on.

Tidehunter, Beastmaster (you can stack and farm Ancients with your axes), Clockwerk (block your creeps with Power Cogs), Treant Protector, Omniknight (Repel). They are all durable and give a lot of utility to your team in the mid-game. Sand King can work too. Lich and Enigma can off-lane because you can deny your own creeps and make the enemy push the lane to your tower, giving you safe XP. Just be careful not to lose your tower early.

Clockwerk hands down

All you need is 6 and a bottle and you can wreak havoc on the enemy team, you also generally have gold because of rocket flares so you can build into bigger support items fairly easily (pipe or something)

Death Prophet is a good solo laner support. Her bats can keep back 1-2 heroes in the early stages, and the ghosts for the rest of the game. You can also effectively push towers solo.

I play a lot of random only, but what that really means is I just play a lot of sand king :\

I wish there was logic to say if player has randomed hero X this % of the time then dont include that hero in the random pool.

Our Mirana spent the entire game telling me "You're the worst QOP I've ever seen"

win game in end, Mirana types into all chat "All Mirana =)"

Entire enemy team pretty much unanimously types "lol QOP won you the game"

Feels Good.

Valve is oing to drag out the official release for the week before TI3 aren't they? I have not played for a while because of that. I need that Mac client.

I think they will drag it out but I don't think they'll do it as close to the international than that.

If it is late, they'll do it afterwards.

Edit: I don't think they're dragging it out for the hype or something. Just reckon they don't have enough resources for the initial influx.

fantasy points? stamping player cards? I imagine all these things wouldnt be just for TI3 right. How long until Valve straight up implements betting on matches into the game

Pretty pleased with how this game went. I was a little confused with what to buy with all the gold. What would you guys suggest as Meepo's ideal 6 slots? I used to just buy as many hearts as possible, but I started to realize that there's diminishing returns at some point and you're better off adding in some damage items.

I was thinking something like BoTs, blink, scepter, eblade, and two skadis, dropping one in the fountain when it's time to go get aegis.

I'd love to hear what you guys think. Is the eblade worth it at all? Is it better to add in some sort of disable like sheepstick?

I usually go:

Aghs - 100% needed
Heart - HP
Vlads - Armor + Lifesteal for all clones, which at level 25 and with that attack speed comes in really handy.
Boots Of Travel - So OP on Meepo
Eblade - Dat agility

As 6th item you can go Skadi but now that AC stacks nice with vlads that might work or can throw blink in there of course. To replace vlads and get AC. Starting out with tranq boots and building those into vlads later is so nice.

does it matter? if you can go full 6 slotted meepo you are probably going to win the game anyways (if you are playing with a competent team, of course) .

I rather go BoT, Reaver, Dagger, Scepter, Vlads and a Mek and win the game as soon as possible, before anyone else catches up with my imba xpm/gpm bonus

Played my first really good game as Specter. Manta/radiance/half a HoT at 30 mins. Wrecked shit. Enemy Sniper died in 3 hits. Feels good when you can get enough farm to feel useful in the early game

What do you think is a good CS for a solo off-laner in 10 minutes (assuming 0 to 1 death)?

5? 10? 20?

I'm changing my opinion on Sange&Yasha. Pretty good stats all around and it is pretty damn good on heroes that lack movement speed like Skeleton King and Dragon Knight.

Those two in particular are pretty damn fun with Shadow Blade, Drums, Phase and S&Y.

Depends on the hero I'd say. Levels are more important for the solo off laner early on. To me, getting gold is just a bonus. More than anything you just want to stay alive, get your levels and then go help your team wreck other lanes...

When I first started playing, I always aimed for 50cs by 15 minutes and 100cs by 30. I think it's a decent goal to shoot for and will improve as you get better. Something like 65 by 10 is very good and 80 is flawless.

EDIT: Oh offlane. Don't expect very much.

I have a little experience with 3D modelling and want to practice, I also want to try my hand at making Dota cosmetics. Might as well kill two birds with one stone right?

Could anyone point me in the direction of some good tutorials/info? I know there is the workshop site itself but I'd appreciate anything else :)

I provide coaching for both individuals and groups. The content of the coaching is completely up to you and could be, but is not limited to, some of the following:

• Replay analysis
• Drafting and strategic analysis
• 1v1 matchup practice (or 2v2/3v3 etc. if you’re a group)
• Guidance during and feedback after your team’s practice sessions (scrims)
• Team practice with me standing in on any position
• Grouping up for some matchmaking fun
Regardless of the content of the session, my price for coaching is $30 per hour. Request coaching times below, and I’ll come back to you with whether or not the time is possible. Please try to select as many available hours as possible to make scheduling easier.

Finally, please include in your request whether you would prefer to have your session streamed, not streamed, or if you don’t mind.

Synderen's coaching costs are $30/hour. Get good - that's a pretty good deal if you want a top pro perspective.

Anuxi's twitch

Active: Target gets a reduced version of living armor. 400 range, 50 mana,

For some reason, i find the "ded gaem!!" meme pretty hilarious but where does the "Volvo" thing come from?

Doto is a really old misspelling of Dota, now sure where it comes from. But people decided to keep theme, and replace all the vowels in Valve with O's, making Valve Volvo.

You (the person with Vanguard) take the damage blocked instead.

Oh yes, this would be even better.

Active: Saviour
Cost: 50 mana
Range: 1000
Affects: Allies
Duration: 4 seconds

Redirects all damage done to your target to you.

Depends. If you're Dark Seer i don't expect anything less than 200.

Well...DS is a completely different beast :D

Love that pointy headed bastard.

Then, pop blade mail.

Would be really over powered though, could see a hero getting a similar skill.
