Just played 1 to test it out and yeah I got both (I won), I think some guy was happy because we were gonna get treats because of the win. I got ROTK at the end (all players got a card) but then I opened my backpack and got a treat as well. Didn't appear at the end of the game.
 
Anyone know if there's an option to make tooltips stick for a longer amount of time? Trying to read the skill tooltips but they disappear too quickly.

How am I so unlucky with hats in this game? I've played over 1100 hours and my best drop is a mythical wine bottle for brew. My friends have played maybe 2-300 and they get multiple couriers, the most recent being Cluckles.

The best part is we crushed some d2g stack with Kai (one of the people listed as truly representing them) in TMM two games in a row. They tried trash talking when they thought they had game 1 won and then got trash talked for the next 45 minutes and another game later.

Not enough players/hongaf will scum everyone and win.

The players in GB are all around the same level, even the "high" players. Whereas we run the entire gamut, from day one newbies to DOTA vets.

As far as players go, I think we have more than enough. I'd wager your could make 4 teams of the best players that would be able to take games off of each other. The big skill gap between those four and most of the others would be a big problem, you're right about that.

Well it's not like we have to limit our players to solely NeoGAF. Although clearly we don't have as much raw exposure as a gaming news site.

Wasn't slighting GAF.. Just saying it's easier to hold a tourney with their community due to their size and exposure..

Not to mention that they utterly failed the last time they tried to host a tourney

Try-hards in a competition? Everyone's a try hard in a competition, the word loses its meaning when you use it to talk about people playing on an even playing field.

Does giantbomb dota really have that many more people?

Edit : There are currently more than twice as many people idling in the giant bomb chat in comparison to the gaf chat. The numbers make for a pretty good explanation.
 
Just finished the Compendium game - got a treat and a card (someone called Kabu?).

Also turns out the reason it took so long to match up was because I have 34 wins, another guy they found had 37 and everyone else had 150+. I can see that people kinda knew what to do more, and maybe made less mistakes (except one guy who went 0-4 at the beginning and then called gg), but idk, I don't feel like their skill level was 5x my wins. Most of them didnt even have more than a few denies
