In retrospect this probably wasn't a good idea.

Yeah, strict rules should be enforced so players actually bother to protect themselves. What a waste of time it is waiting for these tournaments to start.

6.3 Disconnects & Reconnects
6.3.1 If a player disconnects, the game is to be paused instantly. Everyone has up to ten minutes to reconnect to the game (if the same person disconnects more than once, all times get added up). If this time is passed, the opposing team may continue the game, unless an admin demands the opposite. The affected player is in this case still allowed to rejoin later on.
6.3.2 If during a match a player is not able to reconnect for reasons other than a reconnection
bug, the team will have to play without that player. If the player is not able to reconnect because of a game bug, the game will be played forward until the next minute mark and will be reloaded from there.

Reading reddit about this, you can get IPs from Steam too. Considering most of the people stream or are associated with people that stream, it is very easy to find their accounts on steam.

Time to get past the don't use Skype and get real protection.

Considering the rules it really sucks for them. They might as well play the games in secret and have them casted without telling us it's a replay.

As far as I'm aware it's much easier to get an IP from skype than it is from steam. With skype, any sort of interaction between the DDOS'er and the victim will give an IP address through something as simple as netstat or wireshark, where as with steam you to actually have the person on your friends list. Not using skype is a step in the right direction. Right now there are teams and commentators are using a VPN/Proxy just to continue using skype, which seems completely ridiculous to me.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but that's been the only way I've got an IP address of someone through steam when testing it for myself and obviously skype isn't the single way of obtaining someone's IP, even with something like mumble/vent where you have a server the client connects to it's still possible to find the servers IP.

Templar Assassin: I need some advice. When using her I usually go with at least 2 levels of Psi Blades before putting points into Meld. I find that her range is far too short without a few levels in Psi Blades to reliably land a good Meld attack. It slows down my ganking/burst damage potential but its just easier for me.
Is this a bad build? If so, how do I go about making sure my Meld lands? I know theres Blink but even still I find the levels in Psi Blades help.

Damn it, Dota Lounge returned my items for no reason while I was sleeping. I still want to bet! EG better not win or I'll be mad!

It's a bad build, meld is simply too good, one rank in psi blades is enough.
You just gotta keep working on positioning, don't try to meld hit from behind while chasing, but run a little bit further and then meld hit, and shit like that.

Oh, and remember to target the traps manually when using them, if you detonate them from your hero there's a cast animation.

I like DK, I just wish second and third formed retained the poison ability and it worked with splash.

Something about losing an ability when skilling up doesn't jibe with me, I can't think of any other hero that has the same situation. An ult upgrade should always be an upgrade, not a sidegrade.

The slow and the dot in an aoe would be scary as shit. I like it.

Call my crazy, but I start leveling it at 6, 15, and 16. That poison is just too damn good on towers to give up so early. And I'm usually stacking ancients, so don't need splash till I'm done with 3-4 towers and ready for my next big item.

To get the IP from Steam you have to be on their friendslist, the ddoser most likely isn't on there so that's not a problem. The skype way is out there, and the people who are doing it already have their IP's, not using skype anymore won't solve anything unless they change their IP.

Yeah, Valve can't do anything about it. The responsibility lies with players calling up and talking to their isp's to get a new IP asssigned to their service.
