I'm betting on rubick or shadow demon.
Looking through the international western qualifiers tournament rules and found this tidbit:
1.4.2 Every participant has to show the needed respect towards other participants and referees.
Insults and unfair or disrespectful behaviour towards referees and other participants are not
tolerated and will be punished.
7.1 Rule Violations
Breaking of the rules or ignoring the order of an admin may result in a punishment. Type and
amount is chosen by the administration.
Punishment Level 1: -20s penalty
Punishment Level 2: -50s penalty
Punishment Level 3: -90s penalty
Punishment Level 4: Opponent picks side AND firstpick next game.
Punishment Level 5: Game loss
Punishment Level 6: Match Loss
Punishment Level 7: Tournament Disqualification

So everyone plays for the same reason: to sleep better. I thought I was the only one.
I think it's dumb that Mouz got a 1 game disadvantage in Curse. I understand the rule is there to punish teams for not being prepared, but being scheduled for another tournament isn't really any fault of their own. Curse should be coordinating this with the Big Point Battle team.
Also, sucks that Ayasee isn't casting this today. Blaze is really kind of meh..

Just be glad there is not vykrmond or whatever that guy is.
I think Naix, Magnus and Rubick will be the Top 3 most picked. I went with Naix.

I agree. Magnus and Naix are sometimes banned in the first phase. Rubick and SD aren't (at least in Western Dota). It's really close on those two - depends on the team and the strats they like. Rubick an easy pickup if Mag gets through (by either team - to counter or deny), and SD very popular in combination with a range of other heroes (or as a counter to AM, PL, Bat, etc.)

Happened to me last night. Finally fixed it after 12 hours. One player on our team had been idling while we tried to fix it. Once he logged out and we all restarted the client it worked again.

I feel like I don't see Rubick and SD in 9/10 games I watch these days though.
So did it fix itself or only after you all restarted steam?
Really annoying. First time we were going to play a team match.
Yikes, that happened to me a few days ago. Had to get on a smurf account for the rest of the night.
I had naix and gyro for most picked, because magnus is slightly more often banned and magnus is less useful in an offlane, so if a team wants a different mid, they might not pick mag even if he isn't banned.
Supports change to much from game to game, so even rubick and SD i don't feel confident is calling for most picked.

Nyx is going through quite a bit
Wisp or Batrider is a much safer bet. Nyx gets through the first bans quite often lately. Batrider/Wisp still dominate.
Most picked I'd say Magnus.
Can't go wrong with Batrider or Magnus either.
I feel like every usher game I pop into watch there's a Shadow Demon.

I like, I like. Icefrog is not fucking around with the start times. I hope every tourney adopts this punctuality clauses.
4.2.2 If a team fails to have a participant in the lobby or to contact administration 10 minutes
before the match start time they will receive a 50 second pick/ban time penalty.
4.2.3 If teams do not have their full roster in the game 5 minutes before the match start time they
will receive a 90 second pick/ban time penalty.
4.2.4 Teams should be in the match no later than 30 minute past the scheduled time with their complete roster ready to start or risk punishments harder than a time penalty, which may include a game loss or complete match loss.
5.5 Sides & Drafting Order
First team to fully get into the lobby before the 1st game gets to choose side or drafting order. This rotates to the other team for the second game. Third game is decided by coin toss.
6.4.1 Every authorized broadcaster inside the game is allowed to provide a video stream with a delay of at least six minutes.
6.4.2 Spectators from DotaTV are allowed to broadcast a match with any delay.

Rubick gets picked in most mag games, either as a counter or deny counter. EG picks it alot in the first 3 even without a mag on either team. SD still gets picked alot, combo with alot of heroes but also counter naix

I've had 2 wins in the last 11 games. Game hates me.

Haha yes! His voice and character design are spot on! Reminds me of some Greek god or something. Amazing character. And agreed, early game he's formidable - spam the nuke with ancient seal and you rack up the kills - plus that ulti... dayum. He Scales well thanks to his int too.
So satisfying throwing out your nuke on a low HP hero too, and just walking away like a badass as you watch it follow them slowly to their impending deaths.
