You get assholes but I always try really hard to make all of my games as friendly as possible. Compliment your team, joke with the enemies if they kill you, compliment enemies for cool plays (this one is huge, I always get multiple commends for doing it). I get some games where I say "guys can we push together" and get called a stupid noob but it's not that bad these days, maybe because they are all muted.

This happened when I had a few games with you, kinda sucks because me and my buddies win/loss is pretty poor but yours is high and matchmaking didn't take it into account. I hate this thread, every time I read it I see stuff that makes me realise how little understanding I have of the game, and I have 90 hours under my belt! I still don't really know what items to get in what situation, I haven't played even half the heroes.

Oh I did try spirit breaker the other day and really liked him, his cross map ability is awesome, tried Ursa too but he didn't click first time :/

EDit: how can I join GAF chat in game to try and find some friensly peeps willing to play? :)
 
Click the little + button in that chat panel and type in Neogaf.

1. Muting in DOTA is the simplest affair ever, learn it love it!
2. Play with friends
3. Play with fellow DOTA2 gaffers (join the Neogaf chat channel in DOTA2)
4. Remember they sucked at one point let that feed you.
 
Fuck, on a huge streak of losses. Just played with a magnus who was offlane and had a bad time but didn't rotate really to ult once he was 6. So I tell him at the end he should really be using it every chance he gets when it's off cd to make an impact in early game, and he goes off on me.

I check the replay and he didn't even get it at 6. :\

Apparently it was normal level (normally get very high when I solo), been queuing for super long times and getting really shitty games recently.

Gonna need to party up and just make super metagame picks to get out of this rut.

Was that a solo matchmaking game you got the normal level game in? And you get very high while playing normal matchmaking?
I heard that they have different hidden mmrs, not sure though.

They usually still suck.

I once went onto my alt profile and was playing in a very low-level match and there were hot-shots in there calling their teammates "noobs" and raging and everything. Meanwhile they wouldn't have been in that match if they were actually good at the game.

Uh, I think I queued for like 15 minutes in regular and didn't get through, so yeah I went to solo. I have like 3 or 4 matches in that mode.
 
I have played two EU compendium stacks with people from the purgegamers chat. Wonderful experience. I would love to play with you guys, but it is difficult to play EU.

I usually play with 2-3 friends and 1-2 randoms and we usually end raging in TS about the randoms... But these games with few communication we still fought as a team, nobody raging, we won but it was a close call... I do not know if it is because these people are out of the trench (and me and my friends are there) but I will try to repeat the experience. Its a shame my friends don't have compendiums, then I could try to organize a party since they are easy to fill.
 
Nothing like playing a team game against some Russians who disconnect 4-5 times and end up feeding by Io teleporting into our fountain.

Not all of DOtAGAF is like this but some definitely can be. Just avoid playing with those 4 in the future. I've played with plenty of GAF and a lot of them have been cool.
 
I'm on a terrible streak as well. I'm making silly errors and getting stuck on horrible teams. The type of teammates that go afk to eat dinner or quit within a minute. The worst had to be dominating a game when we had the other team pushed in their base at all sides. We started losing team battles and I said "it's closer than it should be" but was told by a teammate "it's not close". We lost the remaining five towers and the match.
 
My main problem is that being in shit tier if i play SD everyone plays carriers I then have to go support. Buy chicken, wards, let my auto attacking carry try and get farm. Watch him fail to get farm. Then get flamed for me having shit items and not going into team fights in retarded positions.
