A blade mail should suffice. Absolutel noob killer item because nobody will ever go for BKB in the low tier. Also a good counter to low tier Voids who are at a risk of snowballing.

Heroes that can close the distance on sniper wreck him like Chaos Knight, Phantom Assassin and Anti Mage. And a lot of others frankly, as he's a pretty terrible hero. Arguably the worst in the game. Sniper players often tend to go mid which was basically a free kill for me with most of the common mid heroes as they can just nuke him to death as soon as they hit lvl 6 (Magnus, Bat, QoP and so forth).

Are you serious?
Sniper can wreck a lot of people mid, he kinda only has problems with the ones that can close the distance quickly or the ones with an insta-stun.
 
If I'm playing support and there's a Sniper or Drow mid I try and spend a lot of time there, since it's usually worth your while. Sniper has less starting health than Lina. I need to get better at ganking mid though. I spend a lot of time standing around waiting for the creep wave to force them to stand in the river, otherwise they just see me and run.

That's a replay hon. But yeah their internal problems are gonna end them. If they don't show well with navi in town, their TI3 is gonna be lame.
 
I actually had no idea smoke break range was smaller than daytime sight range. I thought it just broke when they saw you. I've been playing this game 4 months or so christsake. I wonder how many other obvious things I don't know.

YEEEEEEEEEES, valve finally listened. I've been screaming for sparklies on all the AM weapons for months :(. Too bad I traded away my two AM mage slayer blades months ago because they looked awful without the effect. Nice guy DV helped me nab an anuxi blade though :).

Noob question. I seem to items after completing matches like treasure of incandescent wax, Treasure of the Malignant Amanita and some other things. How do I open/access the items and equip them or whatever?

Go to your backpack. Rightclick the items you wanna equip.

You need keys to open the chests though

Don't think I've played against a good sniper in the last month. Easy to close the gap on, and if he wants to stay in the back and right clicking, his team gets wiped out fast.

Maybe it helps that I play with friends though. I've only solo queued once this whole month :d

And just to clarify, most of those items flashing across the bottom after a match are not yours. The only ones that you get are the ones on the bottom left in a little box. It makes a different sound too.

I don't see how your claim that he beats some heroes mid negates my statement that he's one of the worst, if not the worst hero in the game? He requires insane farm, remains squishy throughout the entire game, is easy to gank, has no escape, offers nothing in team fights and I could go on and on and on. He needs a major buff.

You've got to be kidding me? Sure he doesn't have an escape and his health is shit, but his damage output goes of the chart with a few basic items (doesn't need major farm to do a lot of damage).

If he had a couple of 100 more hp he's gonna wreck shit up if he just rushes mask of madness because good luck coming in close if he perma mini-stuns you. (And yes I know it's a shit item on him, I'm just saying that if his HP pool was to be increased significantly, it would be a great item on him)
He definitely doesn't need a major buff. Maybe a small increase in HP but other than that no. Dude can wreck shit up.

This is pretty wrong. Sniper is not even close to the worst hero in the game (see Drow). He does not require insane farm - boots + shadowblade + maelstrom = lots and lots of damage from across the screen. Even with just a shadowblade he becomes a gigantic pain to play against and he's one of the best punishers in the game. Good luck trying to tp out of a fight/gank or casting any channeling spell when he is present. At end game levels of farm he beats almost anyone with his bash (except maybe LD/Void).

He is at his weakest during the early laning phase (<10 mins) and a competent team will gank him a ton which makes him seem weak. A good player (and good supports) should prevent this from happening.
 
so looks like you still need a beta key to actually play Dota 2. The "free" version on Steam just gives you the tutorial and the ability to spectate.

So it's not quite released yet, more like a teaser.

That means means do not flamebreak him to his tower chair when he is stunned.

I like picking kunkka mid against sniper. His low hp and poor movement speed make him really easy to harass with tidebringer. Don't be afraid to hit creeps at full health with tidebringer, so long as you're hitting sniper as well. Pushing the lane is a good thing as mid sometimes.

Lone druid, TA, Troll, Viper, Silencer (you're forcing him to either pick up headshot or a point in shrap), batrider, bane (enfeeble will wreck sniper's last hitting ability), witch doctor (a point in healing early makes it hard to force him out of the lane), shadow demon, lich should have the advantage in lane.
 
I'd love to be one of the contributors who's weekly items get added during release. They'll probably end up the highest selling items ever, just by coincidence of when they were released.
